Seriously, if Mike would have stepped up and literally help Sarah out she wouldn't collapse and be in the hospital right away due to Mike's lack of cooperation and help. He literally only cares about spending time with his friends and not his wife and child.

Mike is such a loser and can't even be bothered to do what's expected of him. He uses his neighbor as an excuse to avoid responsibility and then has the nerve to say that the neighbor doesn't have marriage problems like them. Yeah, the reason that neighbor couple isn't having problems is because they aren't him. (Seems like Mike is having an emotional affair with the neighbor). He can now spend all the time he wants with Jack without a wife and child.

Mike couldn't differentiate between love for a family or love for his best friend, whichbis very different withnone another, a love for family is much more important, especially when mike already a father, and mike also seemed doesn't interest in raising lily, just like to spent time with his friends, proofs that he doesn't want a family but a succesor to his family name.
Even whe his wife hospitalized due to fatigue, his promise are only a respite, a way to prevent the family to be torn apart, but in the end it only just words, he doing his promise half heartedlly and without joy of raising a child, and in the end his friends is more important that his family and child. Again proof that he isn't worthy for a family.
Now he lost all of it, and when he realize it, he ignores it.
What a pathethic man, husband, and father. Neither on one he is worthy for.
