    A beautiful knife I would pocket carry every day even at that price. I'm sure Tony Bose would want people to use them with pride 👍👍👍

      I would be tempted to carry it too In fact I did carry my Bose/Reid Magicians large stockman to Church yesterday and afterward I just don’t use them I have tons of other knives for that

      They're built to be used. Tony stressed that about his customs and the collaboration knives. Imagine the Chris Reeve of traditionals and you would be in the neighborhood.

      I get the full pleasure of using such a knife, otherwise it tells me that I'm not responsible enough to take care of it's use on my person. Knife collecting is not really my genre, and all well and good to those who do 👍

      I’m working up the courage to carry some of my higher end knives but I guess since I grew up working class and it took so long to get where I could actually afford some really nice things as far as nice to me goes I am a little shy about it Enjoy every knife you have and God bless

    I wish I’d seen that sale. I have the cattle knife, bought used for $350, but I’ve never been able to make myself pull the trigger on the stockman. Beautiful knife, good for you.

    154CM is a legacy steel that I don't mind at all, in fact I prefer it over D2 given the choice. Anyway, that's a very lovely knife and I'm glad to have seen it here. Cheers!

    They are nice knives. I sold mine. Never carried it. Little too thick and was not fond of the swedges.

    Congrats on obtaining a Grail, it looks like a winner!
    Both my brown and chestnut have barely perceptible wobble/play on the secondaries. It's so slight that it doesn't bother me since they're built like the proverbial brick shithouse
    I was in the same boat as you with pricing. Several retailers ran $399-$439 sales, but it was still a bridge too far for me. Hopefully SHC runs the $299 deal on other models(with or without the Tribal Lock)in the future. If they do, there will be more collabs in my knife case.

    Quite hefty bladestock with heavily cut swedges - almost into Rough Ryder Reserve territory!
    It's a handsome knife for sure, but the prices of these TB versions are eye-watering, and Case are clearly pitching the series as a superior quality product, which to my mind poses serious questions about the standard of their 'regular' knives.

    • @dizzy4303
      @dizzy4303 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Their regular line of knives is still nice but they are not held to the same standard. Thats understandable given the price point people want out of a Case knife. If they were all given as much time, hand fitting/hand work, and attention to detail as these, they would be much more expensive and people would complain. Also they would be able to make far fewer because those processes take more time, which would mean they would sell out and people would complain. So their normal lines rely on much more automation and less time and attention from actual humans in the hand fitting department.

    I believe the shield is a Crest Shield, I also am sure that you got a great price for the knife. There are custom knives you might buy for less. Knives made by Tony Bose sell for thousands of dollars not hundreds. 🤣😂👍

      Was going to have my son pick me up a Lannys Clip at Shepherd Hills when Covid was just going off last year but he was afraid to buy me a $500 knife So I got the shot and was able to go with him
      Long story short I chickened out and bought $500 worth of Case Knives instead of one for $500 and was happier for it

    I have there Case Carhartt Stockman with canvas micarta and standard carbon steel. I think you are paying mostly for the name, and second for the steel. Not that 154 is a super expensive or rare steel, I think they are selling you on it more because it is a steel they don't often use, so it is rare for their knives.
