I understand why you need the break and appreciate tge update. It's not worth burning yourself out or making the job take 3 or 4 times as long.
I want to say thanks again for all the videos you have done both on TH-cam and the Mk1 preservation group. I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks Adam I have no idea wat the future brings but it will definitely be quieter on TH-cam. 537-ish videos have definitely taken its toll.

A great listen as usual Andrew, hope you enjoy the meet in Stourbridge.
Some real emotion there when you were talking about Beatrix that's lovely to see, and thanks for mentioning the Spotters group. There had been a big surge in members in the last week (50 new) and a few from around the world that is so good to see.

Would be cool meet you again, sadly I need plane tickets and taxi to there :D. In all seriousness, we might go back with plane this year again (if you want meet) we might be somewhere in London probably without car. Car, my mk1, I hope, next year will make again!

I would be careful on car covers though, few years back I had a car which was parked outside and I bought an expensive car cover from cover your car, it was terrible. It let in water so just be careful as by the time you check it, could be dried up, I would use it for occasional use to keep dust off but I wouldn’t use one outside to shield against the elements again.

You do realise that breathable car covers do let in some moisture maybe some droplets of water. If it was raining and I look under the cover to find my car dry as a bone - not good. This means there's no breathing going on which is the killer of paintwork under covers.

@@usuallyfixingtinkering mine was letting in insane amounts, I was taping the stitching up to see if it helps. I just left it off as it was better to get wet than be soaked under the cover, but I do understand probably not all covers may not be like that.

some are certainly much better. I'll be investing in a Stormforce cover, my last one let in a little mositure, nothing more!

I will try and get to meet you Sunday as it's not to far from me I will get a lift as not ridding my 125 motorbike as I'm saveing up for the car you know I want 👍

I've got a lift off a friend for Sunday to come and see you and ruby I don't go out much as got arthritis is bad in both knees and issues with anxiety is the worst thing thats why ive getting a friend to come with me was health was fine before I got Covid X2 and can't work full time anymore because of that but it slows me down but doesn't stop me looking forward to meeting you in person 👍

Don't blame you to be honest with the rover check the water pump and the whole water system as sounds like air getting in I bet it's hard to make your mind up with way car in a garage which is more like rust quicker and which is worth more money why don't you get another engine to rebuild for ruby but I no way you going to say you want to keep everything original hope you got deep pockets as won't be cheap as just owning three cars which all need work doing you can't change the feelings about rover don't matter way you know why (sorry) I would not want three cars just two one just to run around in and one to build to wat I want but I'm not like you where you like them original I will get a focus mk1 easy to fix welding no problem to me or body work just painting no good at no point me joining the club 😂😂 as I will upset every one I like a little bits of modification

Getting another engine defeats the object doesn't it, it also takes away funds for new parts. Apart from a skim, I do not intend for any other labour costs to be carried out as I'm doing it myself very slowly and enjoying the job.
