I think a lot of this is explained by left handed versions of things not being available until ned makes his shop. And using a gun is based off your dominant eye not hand.
I'm a left handed but I do many things with my right and bowling is actually one of them, same with basketball. Guitar I also play right handed simply because for some reason, my teacher couldn't teach me to play left handed, so I had to learn right like he did, with a right handed guitar and everything.
same. Im a lefty and I was taught to play guitar right handed because my teacher didn't realise I was a lefty until I'd been having lessons for years. Sometimes us lefties end up learning to do things the right handed way because we're not given any other option.
Lefty here too! we're expected to do a lot of stuff with our right hands anyway since a lot of stuff is MADE for right handed people. It's a toss up for which hand I'm more comfortable using in sports.
My dad was a southpaw who, like Ned Flanders, grew up in an age where there weren't as many products made for the left-handed. He was lucky that he wasn't raised in a school/church/family that forced him to use his right hand, but being one of 5 kids growing up poor in Montana during the 1950s his parents certainly couldn't afford specialty equipment just for him. He learned to adapt.

Defense at least for the scenes involving aiming: some people have eye dominance that's opposite of their hand dominance. For instance I'm right handed but left eye dominant, so for activities like bowling, golfing, or shooting I do it leftie so I can aim better. Ned could be left handed with right eye dominance. As for instruments many left handed players play right handed instruments with the strings reversed or just learn to play with their non-dominant hand due to the simple fact that left handed instruments are harder to find and tend to be more expensive: Louis Cole is famously left handed but plays the bass and guitar right handed, although what with him primarily being a drummer that does come with a higher degree of ambidextrousness than standard.
Wow.... just wow. This was very well put together and debunks everything we thought we knew about Ned. As a guitarist and shooter, I can confirm this case against Ned Flanders. This video was so good, that I have been thoroughly convinced to subscribe to this channel.

I do wanna point out that most people, regardless of handedness, play the guitar with the frets on the left. Left-handed guitars do exist, but pretty much every person I know who plays guitar plays it ‘right handed’ Plus, when playing the guitar like Ned does, your left hand is doing more work than your right because it has to use all the frets and strings.

Don't know I don't play pool. And it's not like I say "Okay, this needs precision, I need to use my left hand." my body just KNOWS which hand to use for which tasks.
When it comes to him shooting a gun, my mom is right handed when she writes, but is left handed when she shoots. I write and shoot with my right hand, but some shoot the opposite hand they write with, but this is an interesting video for sure.
Maybe he is left-handed, but he was forced to use his right hand due to his Christian beliefs. My grandfather, who is left-handed, was forced to write with his right hand because at school his teachers thought that the left hand was the devil's hand. Nowadays he is left-handed in everything, but could Ned Flanders have the same theory of his teachers, helping the left-handed but using his right hand to save his soul?
I don't think the guitar playing matters much, since most guitars are asymmetric and require you to play with your right hand. Even when the person is usually left-handed.
Is that because of cultural pressure to be right-handed? Catholic schools (like the ones with mean nuns and more perverted priests) do (or used to) punish left-handers by whacking them with the ruler. And Muslim/Islam consider the left hand as the hand used to wipe your butt after using the bathroom (to be fair, I'm Catholic and I do the left hand for wiping myself thing. But that's because it's easier this way), so using your left hand for anything besides that in that culture is really taboo.
Ned’s use of his right hand might be a reference to the fact that some religious people think left-handedness is of the devil, but that doesn’t really mesh with his apparent lefty pride.
It’s not unusual for someone use their “sinister” hand for one or two things they wouldn’t otherwise. For example, I, my mother and my three siblings are all right handed. My dad is left handed. I, and my oldest sister, eat using the left handed orientation of our cutlery. And my dad plays golf right handed.
@@soursimpsons Thankfully not. I think the thing with Ned using his right hand for so much is either an animation error, or because it’s just easier to animate right handed motions. Or possibly even lack of care for continuity
Marge is actually left handed. In the episode "Boy Meets Curl" we find out Marge has been using her right hand to fit in. This could be the case with Ned Flanders.
Gotta say, as a left handed i play guitar righthanded Style, also, when i eat i use the fork and knife as righthanded, but when im using only a spoon i eat with my left hand, same with chopsticks. I also do a lot of stuff with my right hand, what definetely cant and will never do is write with my right hand
So now we know that Ned's secretly an actual demon. Does this mean that Rod and Todd are demons too and that Maude and Edna are actually in hell instead?
It's likely he could only fire the dream gun right handed, if the weapon only had an ejection port on the right side. Given that it looks based off of an AK platform, that is likely the case. I cannot in good faith (ha ha) accept that particular exhibit. The rest seem acceptable though. Good on you for finally solving the case, Wiggum.
Ned is older. Do you think it is possible that he is a lefty? As child he may have been forced to become right handed, as that was seen as proper at the time he was growing up. So he keeps defaulting back to his right hand, out habit but is passionate about people being allowed to be left handed, maybe he even has trauma related to it. As an adult he has gone back to his left hand and in order to empower himself other lefty's he opened the leftortium? Now we all know that his parents are freaky beatniks who would not have cared which was his dominant hand, but maybe school did. Maybe after his parents 'tried nothing and were all out of ideas' when Ned ended up hospitalized for a year to undergo an experimental treatment could right hand training have been a part of it in addition to the spank therapy since left handed people were viewed as having a lower mental capacity, it could have been a part of his treatment. which might leave him with trauma and the passion for left hand dominance we know he has leading to the leftorium.
I can actually understand the gun and guitar being right handed, I know several guitar players who are left handed but play right handed instruments because they’re more common (I know a maniac who has it reversed too) and shooting guns has more to do with dominant eye than hand. I myself am opposite eye dominant and am primarily right handed but shoot lefty, so it’s not hard to believe Ned could be right eye dominant as 70% of people are.
simpsons have strict rules on the way the show is supposed to be animated i wonder if any of the missed to state ned is supposed to predominately use his left hand cause that should be very unlikely
I said it before but there're many episodes where they mention or show octopus in some form, if I had a script of all episodes and ctrl+f octopus there would be tens or hundreds of results. The problem is there's probably nothing funny or dark about it
Christians used to believe that there was something wrong with being left handed, so another theory is that Ned Flanders learned to use his right hand, but is actually left handed.
I'm sure many left handed people try learning to write with their right because it doesn't drag your hand over what you just wrote and smear it. And the guitar is probably because it was easier to just learn with his right than finding a left handed guitar and a teacher that has experience with lefties.
As far as I understand it, you should choose your shooting hand based on your dominant eye, not your dominant hand, but there is no shortage of other examples of Naughty-Ned's right handedness
I am left handed but I do use my right hand for some actions just because it is easier. If you saw me using my right hand with a computer mouse, you would assume that I was right handed plus I use my right hand when I bowl. It is possible that he is right handed for some actions but left handed for majority of actions.
Could he be ambidextrous? I am a born lefty but taught myself to use both. Also a lot of lefties including myself play instruments that way because its easier to do the chords that way. I think Bob Dylan does that
I recently heard about a theory that ALL Simpsons are geniuses, even the males. Homer is shown to be smart without the crayon and Bart ends up in the Supreme Court in a couple episodes.

indeed, starting to think maude's death wasnt an accident...
Damn dude, this is great!
Glad you enjoyed it! Much more to come
Gotta say, as a left handed i play guitar righthanded Style, also, when i eat i use the fork and knife as righthanded, but when im using only a spoon i eat with my left hand, same with chopsticks.
I also do a lot of stuff with my right hand, what definetely cant and will never do is write with my right hand
Lol that's pretty crazy! so cool
2:07 what the hell is that thing in the right of Marge?
😆👍
So now we know that Ned's secretly an actual demon. Does this mean that Rod and Todd are demons too and that Maude and Edna are actually in hell instead?
"I wish you didn't have the devil's curly hair."
Ned's obviously the devil... its always those you least suspectt!
Then maybe Sideshow Bob is the angel? XD
Apu doesn't remember Homer in "Homer's Night Out" despite them both having been founding members of the Be Sharps in "Homer's Barbershop Quartet"...
Haha i saw that s* post too!
Thats a great point! Haha
I'm left handed, but there are some things I can only do with my right hand..
Like write cryptic letters to the police?
Maybe he has split personality and the evil one is right handed?!
This discovery definitely makes me "Sour"!
Or maybe Ned is ambidextrous, but just prefers his left!
All of this finger point is making me thirsty...
I love these Dark Simpsons Mysteries!❤
Thanks for watching! More to come.
If you despise polite left-handers than I doubt you'll like Ned Flanders
Um Jammer Lammy plays a left-handed guitar
Haha neat little jingle!
Cant believe Sour simpsons predicted the revealing of Zodiac Killer Identity!
It wad flanders all along!
Does Ned not know, lies make baby Jesses cry.
Todd needs to remind him!
I've got a theory The writers got lazy and just forgot that he was left handed
Haha yeah thats another explanation
Say your prayers, Simpson... cause the schools can't force you like they should!
Lol, that was one of the first clips i looked at to see if he used his right hand there
@@soursimpsons lol
I can actually understand the gun and guitar being right handed, I know several guitar players who are left handed but play right handed instruments because they’re more common (I know a maniac who has it reversed too) and shooting guns has more to do with dominant eye than hand. I myself am opposite eye dominant and am primarily right handed but shoot lefty, so it’s not hard to believe Ned could be right eye dominant as 70% of people are.
Thats pretty cool, i never knew we had a dominant eye!
simpsons have strict rules on the way the show is supposed to be animated i wonder if any of the missed to state ned is supposed to predominately use his left hand cause that should be very unlikely
Haha they're not that strict, especially in the early seasons. I love finding the animation errors!
I said it before but there're many episodes where they mention or show octopus in some form, if I had a script of all episodes and ctrl+f octopus there would be tens or hundreds of results. The problem is there's probably nothing funny or dark about it
Lol yeah dunno what kind of story you could string together with an octopus
At least he's not working for the Samalian Pirates in South Park 😂
... not yet! lol
Do you have upload schedule?
Yup, it'll be bi-weekly for now
Actually I'm right handed and I answer the phone with my left hand (usually) so I can push the buttons.
Thats pretty normal. 👍
Christians used to believe that there was something wrong with being left handed, so another theory is that Ned Flanders learned to use his right hand, but is actually left handed.
He uses his right to kill... ?
I'm sure many left handed people try learning to write with their right because it doesn't drag your hand over what you just wrote and smear it. And the guitar is probably because it was easier to just learn with his right than finding a left handed guitar and a teacher that has experience with lefties.
I hear you about the guitar but disagree about the writing, as a child you don't think about smearing when you learn to write.
Suggestion: Is Mr. Snrub from somewhere far away actually Mr. Burns?
Haha i want to do something with mr snrubs, if only he appeared more often.
I dunno about Flander's Hands , but I DO know that Mr Burns is UNDER-Handed 😅
😂 - your joke is out of hand
When you’re a lefty learning to do things in a right handed world, you learn to code switch.
So he's not a serial killer? LOl
NED! HOW COULD YOU!!!! YOU WERE THE ONLY POSITIVE REPRESENTATION WE HAD!!
Haha never meet your heroes! They can only let you down
Dark Simpsons Mystery:
How did a Mom with blue hair and a Dad with brown hair produce three blonde-haired children?
Thats a good question lol, not sure how i could stretch that though
What if Ned wants to be normal, so he uses his right hand so he can fit in with people
Lol if he wanted to be normal he could just act like homer 🤣
As far as I understand it, you should choose your shooting hand based on your dominant eye, not your dominant hand, but there is no shortage of other examples of Naughty-Ned's right handedness
"that's my seeing eye. the right one's my winking eye."
Oh thats interesting, i did not know that! I love reading the comments
I am left handed but I do use my right hand for some actions just because it is easier. If you saw me using my right hand with a computer mouse, you would assume that I was right handed plus I use my right hand when I bowl. It is possible that he is right handed for some actions but left handed for majority of actions.
Are you also a serial killer?
I don't buy the Zodiac theory. Ned Flander wouldn't be within a mile a San Fransisco let alone California.
He goes there for the pride parades
@@soursimpsons What? Is that moustache just so that they think he's one of them so they can let their guards down?
Could he be ambidextrous? I am a born lefty but taught myself to use both. Also a lot of lefties including myself play instruments that way because its easier to do the chords that way. I think Bob Dylan does that
Are you also a serial killer?
Guys, i think i see Frango
In 2:07
*Frangle
😄👍
Boy, I sure hope someone got fired for those blunders!
Hahaha, why would a grown man spend all of his time watching a childrens cartoon show?
I recently heard about a theory that ALL Simpsons are geniuses, even the males. Homer is shown to be smart without the crayon and Bart ends up in the Supreme Court in a couple episodes.
What about the simpson gene? Lol
He's AMBIDEXTROUS!?!
It finally all makes sense!
