Maybe for story time, until you get the right colored parts, you can lower the worker on the side of the Grand Emporium to look as if he is painting the white brick to the tan color. Love your work and cant wait to see what else you come up with.
I really do love how you’re taking all these awesome sets and doing exactly what Lego, and frankly many of us, wants us to do; and that’s create! Sure, the sets themselves are gorgeous. I love the modular series, but I don’t have the money or time to expand them like you, Bricksie. So, in a way, I’m living out an epic Lego fantasy through you! You truly do have the single best Lego City on TH-cam (in my humblest opinion). You’re honestly the only Lego city TH-camr I watch and really just my favorite Lego TH-camr in general, and activities like these are exactly why! You’re not afraid to do what YOU want to do, and that’s inspiring. Also, you have one of the best personalities on this site. Seriously, you help put a smile on my face everyday. So thank you, Bricksie, for another amazing video, but also for just being you.
Love the additions and you're right; the bank looks better than it did. However; if you're going to add another level to the townhall the bank will again look small in comparison and you'd essentially have to add yet another level to the bank to make them fit nicely together as they do now. I also personally wouldn't make into a double corner building; I love the sidebuilds. They add old-town charm to the town hall.
I just yesterday had a conversation with my friend yesterday about wanting to add another floor to my Boutique Hotel! This video came at a perfect time. Thank you!
I really appreciate you explaining the creative process from how you want to expand, how you look up how to expand, and eventually how you expand. That's awesome. It's tips like those that help people like us grow as builders. Appreciate you as always my friend!
They both look so good with another floor. The added height def gives the area even more of downtown city feel with taller buildings Hope to see you add another floor to the palace cinema as well. I know it will look great
as for the escalator, i think you should build 3 more and put them opposite side of the others, to go down casue right now they only go one way, you would need a second set of them to go down right beside them sort of in a X pattern like malls etc do
For the town hall don't make it a double corner leave it like it is but add another floor and make it look like the Town Hall from back to the Future!!
This city is amazing! Great work! I think the double corner town hall seems very fitting now that the city is bigger. Plus makes it a staple. Great work!
I like to do this with my buildings as well. Great job with all of yours. The second floor of the bank looks a little short now. Maybe arches or another row of bricks above the windows? Thanks for the inspiration!
The winter village train station and holiday train set are totally worth it. I got both sets for $325 U.S. last summer, and I was so happy just to have a Lego Steam train finally in my Lego collection. The train station was actually still sealed and complete while the only important things missing for me were the minifigs from the holiday train but everything else I got I was really happy with finding that on my local Facebook to the point that I powered up the train in under a month.
For the builds around the grand emporium u should add some more floors then cause it looks strange to have the one strangely tall building when the others are so much smaller
For extra story with townhall you should use the middle floor window layout as the basis, but swap out the balcony and door with either another matching window, or use the top floors middle window layout.
Bricksie, I get what your trying to, but Im not a fan of the upgraded modulars. The original had a "50s retro American small town" look and vibe to them. They had charm. Thats now been lost. They look like monstrosities...and unfortunately I feel the city as a whole is losing its charm
Oh in these particular cases I disagree. They've retained their charm imo. And certainly the Emporium will have a lot more charm with updated interiors; making it into an actual vintage warehouse store. I do think that there have been a few modulars in the past where they've lost a bit of charm, but not with these two imo.
Give the palace cinema a rooftop bar with those dangly stud lights that you see in some sets. It will make that area really stand out once you do lighting.
Interestingly, someone from Germany is selling just the 1st and 2nd floors and 2 escalators (no minifigs, box or instructions) for $251 Cdn. Your two upgraded modulars look great with their respective added floors.
Hey there, I didnt the same thing for my Palace Cinema, but was lucky... 1) I bought a second set on ebay for cheap, then 2) actually found the top floor (not the roof) for super cheap (Listed as missing many parts) for next to nothing. 3) A few years ago. I then built it, and ohhhhhh it looked awesome/epic! I since broke it down but look forward to building it again.
I'm all for moding sets but my Modular buildings (own all except Cafe corner, green grocer and market street) collection is just too valuable I would never touch the.
The current Avengers Tower is non-original and looks super, super amazing, but I think that you will replace this Avengers Tower with a new one in the future (my prediction).
Could be just me but, I don't think just sticking an extra floor in or doubling the building necessarily make it look better. It's a case by case situation, anyway i think the emporium looks fantastic with an extra floor but I think the banks proportions look wrong with an extra level.
It would be nice if Lego started making the sides of buildings look better and not assume all modular building sides will be up against another building and never be seen.
Nice ..I'm back to Waching yo latest. Vid Orly morning. As I had bean. Up till 3 in morning and sleeping in. Some time I cee you only just up loaded 😊 so back to starting of my Lego day buy Waching 7 in morning. Got my coffee ☕👌🤩 looking at my Lego. .I got the old fishing shak. On hold. 😊 To get asap. Grand emporium I was going to get 4 so years back but had so Manny other moduler s I needed 😊.
Maybe for story time, until you get the right colored parts, you can lower the worker on the side of the Grand Emporium to look as if he is painting the white brick to the tan color. Love your work and cant wait to see what else you come up with.
Great idea with moving the painter down
Awsome modularslego city
I had the Grand Emporium in my collection,it is a great set.

He's not creating, he's just running out of things to build
Love the additions and you're right; the bank looks better than it did.

It's amazing to see how far you have come with your collection. It's truly amazing
This is so neat. They look more real like being worked on having the different colors. Keep it up bricksie

Great tutorial! I like how bricklink makes this process so much easier.

great Bricksie...real inspiration for my videos
This city is amazing! Great work!
I think the double corner town hall seems very fitting now that the city is bigger. Plus makes it a staple. Great work!
It looks great! I enjoyed watching the train going around on the track too.
I love every MOC you do in your city. It’s always fun and inspiring when I’m working on my own.
I like to do this with my buildings as well. Great job with all of yours.
The second floor of the bank looks a little short now. Maybe arches or another row of bricks above the windows?
Thanks for the inspiration!
Great tricks on using bricklink to get the part list for the extra floor.

Sweet upgrades! Great video!
Realy good work! I am looking forward when you will add right-colored pieces to these modulars! And pls add a one floor to Palace Cinema
Thanks for the tips, ideas, and other information for building the modulars.
Appreciate your uploads Bricksie, keep on keepin’ on thanks for all the entertainment!
For the builds around the grand emporium u should add some more floors then cause it looks strange to have the one strangely tall building when the others are so much smaller
Yes theatre and townhall upgrade will look great...Can't wait ❤
Man I love your video's been watching them since I first deployed in 2021 and is crazy seeing it now. Awesome!!
For extra story with townhall you should use the middle floor window layout as the basis, but swap out the balcony and door with either another matching window, or use the top floors middle window layout.
awesome video jordan the lego city looks amazing with the doubled up buildings
I love the brick bank, I kinda started my working life in the banking industry, back in the 80's
You should put the window washer guy along the side with the white parts and have him a painting the building. Great work on both buildings.
Bricksie, I get what your trying to, but Im not a fan of the upgraded modulars. The original had a "50s retro American small town" look and vibe to them. They had charm. Thats now been lost. They look like monstrosities...and unfortunately I feel the city as a whole is losing its charm

Great modifications
Expanded town hall would be awesome
This is how I created the town hall and detectives office using parts from my inventory and then placing orders on Bricklink
Grand Emporium was always on the lesser end of the modulars. Brickbank was a really well made set. Just small of course.
Give the palace cinema a rooftop bar with those dangly stud lights that you see in some sets. It will make that area really stand out once you do lighting.

Wasn’t the grand emporium inspired by harrods in London

The friends botanical garden has sand green windows. That set would look nice with tan windows.
Wow to that bank difference! 😮
When are you going to do the skyscraper for the pillar/beam? :)
Keep up the great work!
looks good
Awesome! Do you have a Bricklink Wanted List with the parts needed to build an extra floor for the Brick Bank??
Nice, I did something similar to the brick bank. Except I widened it, removed the laundry and added an extra floor
Went over to channel to see your mod brick bank. It's looks much replacing the laundry and giving the bank facade more depth
@michaelgoodwin1239 thanks and it does, it was the one reason why i made it wider. Also I made the vault bigger and moved the chimney.
Great stuff man.
Hi Bricksie how’s the winter village doing
New to lego here. Thank you for the tutorial, it's going to help me out with future builds. Wish I knew of this sooner tho lol
Nice strats!
Can you share your part out list for the winter village station?
You can build opposite Grand emporium parking lot.
Awesome looks great 🎉
If you need a Palace cinema and a detective office let me know, mine sit in storage and I’m willing to sell!

I'm all for moding sets but my Modular buildings (own all except Cafe corner, green grocer and market street) collection is just too valuable I would never touch the.
The Brickbank with the different color windows, could be accounted for with a minifig painter on a ladder painting the window frames?
I saw the new Avengers Tower is coming on Black Friday…it looks epic!!!
if you upgrade the town hall I think you should upgrade it sideways and remove those buildings on the side
The added floor of Grand Emporium should probably be about electronic devices, such as appliances, televisions and computers.
I think you should double up the Sesame Street modular building
Just as I posted that comment, the mail carrier came with the 2023 Lego Holiday catalog. It's like he knew it was Lego viewing time of the day....LOL
How long did it take to move all that to your new location
FUN to see my name on the school building
The current Avengers Tower is non-original and looks super, super amazing, but I think that you will replace this Avengers Tower with a new one in the future (my prediction).
Ooh inspiring
Can you send me a link for your pax and Billy shelves please?
Could be just me but, I don't think just sticking an extra floor in or doubling the building necessarily make it look better. It's a case by case situation, anyway i think the emporium looks fantastic with an extra floor but I think the banks proportions look wrong with an extra level.
Do you use your vip points to get discounts on Lego at the store.
Robin Hood Beicks added an extra floor to his grand emporium and turned it into a casino
Sand Green Windows are on PAB online
I mias the Bricksie outro music
The new avengers tower is anounced it's over 5000 bricks, can't wait to see you double that 😂😂😂
It would be nice if Lego started making the sides of buildings look better and not assume all modular building sides will be up against another building and never be seen.
why are all the tall buildings at the front and not at the back, now you block everything at the back. otherwise really nicely done❤
Buying all the pieces on bricklink for the Grand Emporium will be $453
9th!
Hey Bricksie... I think I know why you're running out of space in the city...
My dream is to expand BRICKCROSS 910034, anyone who has already done it?
Waauw so many upsized buildings and Such a big city but a fire department with only 1 fire truck that’s kinda ridic… 😅 you should quadruple it 🧯
