Yes, Melanie is amazing, but she needs to put a little more paprika in her attitude and get the proper feeling in this dance and it does not have enough paprika. It’s a sharpness and a feeling of don’t mess with me kind of sass a very gypsy attitude. It’s too swan queen. It needs heat and a little dangerous edge.🥰 From a very old ballet teacher.
Ive re-watched this so Many times bc Melanie Mcintire is astounding as Esmeralda ❤🎉 I saw her performance in Lausanne and she was clearly different, yet still stunning ✨️ she was on time with every hit of the tambourine but lacked the surety and clear pride and confidence that she displayed bere, i wish she'd won nonetheless 🏆
