I just wanted to say, I appreciate your descriptions of the amplifier's sound, that the L07 is cold, analytical and brittle vs Fosi's more natural, warmth and body. Lots of people own a Fosi V3 or Za3, so it's very helpful that you used these popular amps for comparison. Not many reviewers do comparisons, and even fewer articulate the differences in sound so well. So thanks for helping us determine what amps we might gravitate towards.
good morming Dave, thanks for a great review. i was wondering how would be dac in the DS07 compare, with the one in the Fx Audio DR07? i want to improve my desktop geat but i used headphone more than speakers. Are they comparable, or is better to get the DS07 and then other headphone amp likr the Fx Audio R07? Greetings from Colombia
I have both FX Audio LO7 and Fosi Audio ZA3...I'm using a 6ft tall Genesis APM-1 speakers...I prefer the ZA3 for sounding more detailed and transparent. The LO7 sounds laidback and constraint. I sold the LO7 for less than half price I paid for it. I'm just happy to get rid of it.
Perhaps I didn't explain it very well the 1st time. Reaching full volume so quickly can give the illusion of massive power. But it simply means that you've reached full power with a touch of the volume dial. If you eliminate the volume control altogether, you'd be even more impressed because it would be at full volume when you turn the amp on. As I attempted to describe, the volume setting has nothing to do with an amplifier's power. It just determines how quickly you reach it. The volume control, whether Linear or Logarithmic, determines how quickly or slowly you reach full power. For example, you could have 2 amplifiers of 200 wpc. One reaches 200wpc at 7am on the the volume knob, and the other reaches 200wpc at 5pm on the volume knob. They are both 200wpc, but you get the impression that the 7am volume setting is more powerful because it' practically knocks you off your chair, immediately. The other amp will also knock you off your chair, when the volume knob reaches 5pm. One amp is not more powerful than the other. But reaching full volume right away can be impressive.
Good information. Please note I didn't say the volume knob was the power; I said there was so much power for my speakers that I barely had to move the volume knob. The volume knobs are similar to a car gas pedal, it is the vroom vroom of the amplifier.

Its seems the same as SMSL A300 same infineon chip, same power, same monoblock stily but without remote and 1 input less, is weird see the same implementation of something 3 years old on the market
I can’t remember that many product ID numbers LOL. Too complicated for me. I live a simple life. Even my coffee pot has too many product ID numbers. LOL. Need a powerful magnifying glass to read the ID #
Good morning Dave thank you for keeping me company this Sunday morning. Have a blessed weekend. Take care.
My pleasure, you're welcome.

My pleasure, you're welcome. I'm glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated.
They also made an r07 a nice looking little amp. No one seems to have reviewed it. I would love a review from you on it
I saw that when I was grabbing the link from the website. I'll see if one is available for review.
@@TheHonestAudiophile awesome! I have been eyeing it, but I am not sure about it
I hope you get a chance to assess their tube headphone amps.
A couple of them are in the review schedule.

Sorry haven't heard the DR07.

Thanks for the impressions and comparison.
Hi Dave, I'm having trouble deciding which to get for gaming purposes-QKZ x HBB or Tangzu Wan'er.
Personally I'd take the Wan'er but keep in mind I only play sports and racing games.

@@TheHonestAudiophileI really liked his reviews and some of the music and of course that voice. Thanks for everything Dave !
If these had remotes or at least some trigger in/out they would be killer. This way they only suit a desktop environment.

Between those 4< I would take the Tangzu Wan'er
@@TheHonestAudiophile thank you for the respond ❤️
@olympussus5811 my pleasure, you're welcome
@@TheHonestAudiophile Could you please explain why Tangzu Wan'er was your preferred choice among the other four options?
@olympussus5811 Wan'er has a neutral leaning presentation with natural tone and timbre.
