I'm never disappointed with your craftsmanship Mr Steve. Absolutely beautiful builds. Its always a learning experience for me following your build series. Great Builds.
An amazing series, beautifully completed double build, lots of advice and visuals. An absolute joy to watch....thank you for showing what can be done with skill, patience and an eye for details. BTW, I'm currently watching the Bismarck build series and thoroughly enjoying the episodes.
Watching it all come together at the end was very satisfying. Superb work Steve. My goodness, your model itinerary is daunting...and here I am vacillating on starting even one! You are a great motivator.
Yet another masterclass Steve. Beautiful work. Looking forward to seeing the Ajax - I'll be doing my first ship later this year, HMS Scorpion also in 1/700. My wife's grandfather served on her during the Arctic conveys including the battle of North Cape and the sinking of the Scharnhorst and then supporting the Normandy landings.
Well, I thought I had commented, could have sworn I did, oh well. Beautiful job, on two beautiful kits! Airfix has outdone themselves with this kit, really catching up to Eduard standards! You have turned these "ugly ducklings" into "swans", and I now see the "need" to add this kit to my stash! Again, amazing work, and really looking forward to the next subject Steve!
Thanks Alan I really enjoyed these two and especially building the two configurations thanks to your generous support. I hope you know how much I appreciate that 👍🙏
Hi Steve, those two Gannets have turned out absolutely perfectly, congratulations on a job extremely well done, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia
Nice work on the kits. The Gannet isn’t my favourite aircraft but, nice to see the engineering that Airfix has put into the kit. Here’s hoping they make more interesting aircraft subjects with the same excellent engineering, going into the future.
Hi Steve, absolutely stunning builds my friend! Your expertise with model making always amazes me! Because you are always so helpful to me, I’m hoping a tip that I’ve learned will help you. I would highly recommend buying a pair of Godhand( hate the name) nippers. They will literally cut your sanding time and issues with clear parts by half. They even help with cutting tiny parts since they’re so tiny on the tip. I know they are pricey, but well worth it in the long run. I bought a pair of Gundam nippers years ago, but unfortunately they no longer make them. They were cheaper than the Godhand pair, but equally as good too. Either way, it’s always still recommended to cut clear parts with caution as you so wisely suggested! Thanks again for another masterclass!🙏🏽
I took your advice and after seeing some at our club meet I took the plunge and got some and some of their bending pliers. haven’t used them yet but they look the business
Two more to add to the collection. This has been a very enjoyable build to watch. I do love the attention you show for each kit you build and paint. It is good to hear you will be finishing off the Bismarck, looking forward to that episode. When you said yo will be building the Flyhawk 1/770 scale HMS Ajax I watched a couple of build reviews of the kit so be prepared for some very tiny plastic parts and equally tiny photo etched. May I suggest you invest in an optivisor to help with these bits and save your eyesight. I wish you the best of luck with HMS Ajax.
Thanks I’m looking forward to that build. I have some micromaster 3d printed parts coming tomorrow from New Zealand so they should be interesting in this scale.
I thought the standard of my builds was suffering as a result of trying to meet weekly deadlines Mac. I will do some more premieres though when the timescale fits with where I am with the build.
Does anyone know why they have the black and white stripes? For D-Day the were used for visual IFF to prevent fratricide, but it seems counterintuitive to paint them on a Cold War aircraft. Great work as always. 🤓

Great Builds.
Thank you David glad you get something out of watching
From beginning to end this has been a wonderful build to behold. Thanks.
Thank you very much it was a nice build to do
I really enjoyed these videos - lots of useful advice with great ideas. They will prove invaluable once I start my Gannet. Thanks!
Good luck with it David its a nice kit Im sure you'll enjoy it
Absolutely brilliant builds they look fantastic. Well done. Looking forward to your take on the border Lancaster
Just started this week Chris
Outstanding work and great build series. That said, these aircraft... they have a face only a mother could love, lol. I enjoy following your builds.
They're no beauties that's for sure but the kits go together like a dream
Amazing job! I got one in my stash and will use your vid to help me when I build it!
don’t leave it in the stash it’s too good a kit and deserves to be built
Great looking kits and build. You make it look so easy and fast, but I am sure there is lots of prep work we don't see. Great Job once Again.
Thank you Andreas 👍
Your attention to detail is something else
Thanks
Steve
So beautifully done ... bravo on two brilliantly done Gannet's.

Cheers Peter

Thanks Phil I'm a bit daunted with 1/700 scale but we'll see how we get on
Absolutely gob smacked, they both look great, excellent work Steve.

Thanks I really like he gannet its quirks make it an interesting subject I think
Stunning builds Steve really enjoyed this series and have, as a result, improved my building and approach, so well done indeed!
Considering the quality of your work Richard that is praise indeed. Thank you.
Excellent Steve, and as always it is the surface finish that makes your models stand out!
Cheers Finlay

Thanks steve. A few things i wouldnt have spotted on the kit without you pointing them out. Also airfix slide moulding parts.. lucky us
Yes Geoffrey Airfix are gettting very very good. Hope they keep it up.

Thanks Mike I like the gannet just because of its quirks and Airfix have done a great job on this one
Fantastic build, well done. Looking forward to the Flyhawk 1:700 scale HMS Ajax. Detail on Flyhawk is amazing. Should be a wonderful build.
I have some Micrometer 3D parts on the way from New Zealand as well

Fantastic builds. Thanks

MAGNIFIQUE !!!!
Merci
I miss the interaction in the Live premieres, but one must cope with pheasant (and jackdaw) powered internet.
I thought the standard of my builds was suffering as a result of trying to meet weekly deadlines Mac. I will do some more premieres though when the timescale fits with where I am with the build.
Saw you at the Tyneside show on Sunday, I assume they were your Gannets on the table?
They were yes 👍
@@TheModelShed They looked fantastic, would have said hello but you were busy when I passed.
Thanks!
Thank you James

Operation Musketeer. Usually yellow and black but some where white and black.
