Spread over more than 500 m2, there are two bars and several tables with sofas and armchairs, as well as bar stools and high tables, offering stunning views over the Plaza de España, the Royal Palace, Casa de Campo, Gran Via, the skyscrapers of Azca and the Sierra de Madrid hills in the distance.

Hola! This was definitely a change of pace from your other videos, and I really enjoyed it. Maybe the shorter videos like this open up a lot of possibilities for new places that don't work for longer videos. This one was very lively with lots of people.
This place seems like a very popular tourist attraction - think I heard some American English at one point. Is that a very popular hotel in Madrid? I enjoyed getting the "bird's eye view" of Madrid. I think you mentioned it before, but it's interesting the way European cities have the new section with the skyscrapers, and the old section with the traditional buildings. A little different that the US. Well, we're a relatively young country - not as much history to preserve. 😉 I was wondering if at 6:10 the view down below was of the street in Madrid that you did a walking video of a while back?
Okay, my first thought is - I would never walk out onto that glass. 😆 No thank you! But I can see how people have lots of fun there. But on the other hand, it is a bar, so after a few glasses of wine - why not! You only live once. 😀 And a final note - definitely not a cow. It's a bull. 😄
Hola! How are you doing over in Boston? I hope everything goes well for you there. I am very glad that you enjoyed this tour, which as you say is a small change from the usual tours. I agree with what you say about short videos, it's something I've been thinking about too. It is possible that I dedicate some of those smaller tours to focus on places within the cities that may be interesting, such as the interior of churches or other monuments and focus exclusively on the long tours to show the city. It has even crossed my mind to upload short videos of a few seconds to show curious or interesting details... We'll see! 😄
You are right, although there are many similar terraces in Madrid, without a doubt this place is one of the most popular for its great views of the city, although I thought that it was only among locals, not among foreign tourists. Most of the people there were tourists from other countries. As you say it is a hotel, although the terrace is accessible to everyone (paying an entrance fee)
Yeah! from this terrace you can perfectly observe that difference between the old part of the city and the most modern part. And as I have already told you on several occasions, you are very observant (or as we say here, you have a lynx vision 😸), that street you mention is the same one that I filmed on a previous tour, it is the Gran Via, and it is one of the most important streets in Madrid, it just ends in that park that you can see under the terrace, called Plaza de España (Spain square). I hope that on my next visit to Madrid I film a tour of that square.
I think what you say is completely true, I think that many of those who took photos on that transparent platform must have had several drinks before 😆

@@WalkingSpain Yes, I've taken a little break. Although I'm back living in the Boston area now, I'm not sure if I'll start doing video or livestream again. I only have one short video that I recorded in Maine that I hope to upload for our Thanksgiving holiday in about 10 days. After that, not sure.
@@bostonwalkdrive7763 I understand what you are saying, sometimes it becomes very hard to upload content continuously on a frequent basis, I have decided to avoid that and to upload tours only when I think they are interesting and I have time to make them with right quality (I don't know if I have achieved any of the two purposes😄)
