it kind of is and the horrible thing is that you get away with it in the real world because the people are deemed mentally unfit and a lot of the time have their rights thrown out because of they want the person to be "cured".
Most of Batman's rogues are actually very formidable in combat, but there is a tendency among certain writers to make them pushovers in physical encounters.
Dear Red Couch, I never thought I would be writing you this letter. There was a time when I thought our love would stand the test of time and nothing could come between us. The stories you helped tell will surely change my life. Unfortunately, the years have chipped away at our once perfect cushions and there is nothing left to hold on to because the armrests are kind of worn out. The way things are now, we are no longer a positive influence in each other's life, I have back problems. We just make each other miserable instead of happy, and make life harder rather than easier, mostly the back problems. It is time to call it quits and go our separate ways. Goodbye Red Couch. Love, Landon
this story is the first comic that i ever read it was three issues I live in Ecuador and when i was a kid there were not many comic books sadly it took me 20 years to get the part 3, i am so happy that you review this story, thank you very very much
The couch must die for something better, something terrifying, something that will strike fear into the hearts of the POPulation... Welcome to the future, Welcome... To the ComicPOP Office!!
Cube was directed by Vincenzo Natali who did storyboards for the Beetlejuice animated series based on the film by Tim Burton who directed Batman who in this comic went to arkham asylum COINCIDENCE? I think not
My only gripe with this story is Batman taking down all of his rogues in a small room. Batman often has enough trouble with them one on one, so I don't really buy him being able to defeat them all at once so quickly.
Sal, there was a story line in Batman: Streets of Gotham where Zsasz has plastic surgery to cover up 90% of his skin cuts. I remember he only had 5 slash marks on his forehead.
Daredevil is currently taking the stand in All-New, All-Different, hoping to make superhero evidence and superhero testifying admissible. He takes the stand in costume, prosecutor says "How do we know you're really Daredevil?" Well, the mob breaks in, armed, and Matt takes them out. No one raises any objections, unintentional pun.
Daredevil used a similar tactic in the Trial of Venom story to allow Spiderman to testify back in the 90's, you'd think that would have set some kind of legal precedent...
You’d think the best way would be some sort of DNA sample, or having to unmask themselves to a legal agency who’d keep their identities under lock - of course, that does feel slightly derivative of Civil War, or always leave the risk of public exposure.
a classic back issues, definitely not a family show haha i haven't watched this one in a while. for any newbies come upon this, comic pop gets better and better. check out the newest back issues, you won't be disappointed
A trio of my era, Cube references and mrl brooks are in one episode, what more can one ask for? I kid you not guyz, I had a Cube poster up in my room when it came out when I was 15 or 16 [next to a poster of radiohead's ok computer and the one remaining poster i have till this day, Trainspotting with th classic prologue / epilogue McCregor sppech.] that my brother grabbed when he worked at Movie Gallery at the time. Someone insert the ol lady from All in the Family "those were the days.."
Just wanted to point out that Superman had two more titles that you didn't mention during the 90's. Adventures of Superman and Superman: Man of Tomorrow or at least I think that's what they were called. Keep up the great work I really enjoy back issues especially on stuff that I started reading but never finished.
Thanks Sal! It was the least I could do for all the great memories you and the crew have given me. I hope you liked it and I can't wait to see what is in store for ComicPOP!
25:54 at this point Nightwing isn’t operating in Blüdhaven he’s operating in New York as a Titan and in Gotham. Nightwing doesn’t operate in Blüdhaven until the chuck Dixon run where he wears the black and blue costume not the Yellow and blue one which is what he wears in both this and nightfall.
Hey guys, even though Sal says there's "Too much Batman on the channel." (Which I completely disagree with, there should be MORE BATMAN LOL.) I'd LOVE to hear a commentary track for Mask of the Phantasm. Especially now that it's out on bluray.
Are ya'll ever going to do Batman: Gothic? It's my favorite of Morrison's Batman stories. I'd love to see Sal explaining the Batman book that's 95% religious stuff instead of detective work or badass fighting.
Pick up Batman The Last Arkham here: amzn.to/2t0vV62
"It's all part of the therapy" is the "It's just a prank, bro" of the psychologist community.
it kind of is and the horrible thing is that you get away with it in the real world because the

Would that make shock therapy equivalent to kicking a dude in the nuts on camera?
@@Grievousish shooting*
This is the best comment ever
Wow a story where Zsaz is the main antagonist an presented as a formidable foe....you can tell it's old
Yeah, Zsasz tends to get taken down pretty easily these days.
the Arkham serie litterally has him as tutorial
Most of Batman's rogues are actually very formidable in combat, but there is a tendency among certain writers to make them pushovers in physical encounters.
Zzazz is actually a pretty formidable psychopath for Batman to battle.
Isnt he just a guy?
You should take Ben and Ethan on an Odyssey... A Batman Odyssey
Zazz reserves the taint for the Batfamily
Odin T Havok I know he is saving a place, but never knew if he specified which one. This is now my cringy head-canon.
I always assumed Zsasz's special reserved spot for Batman was the bell end of his cock.
14:31 I'm disappointed that Batman didn't yell "IT'S A MADHOUSE!!! A MAAAAAAADHOUSE!!!!" as the orderly hosed him down.

21:37 one of the best monologues in back issues history. "He scarred his taint"
Chris Chan?
@@jackcinephile7554did he do it with his pen knife tho?
LOL...remember John Doe Joker from the Tell Tale series and how he cuts Victor Zsatsz so that he'll kill someone and create a distraction?
"The taint, Sal? Really? This is a family show!" Holy fuck, so good hahaha.
That con air wink though
24:48 priceless wink from sal
Wonder if some part of the couch will be imprinted onto the new couch?
this story is the first comic that i ever read it was three issues I live in Ecuador and when i was a kid there were not many comic books sadly it took me 20 years to get the part 3, i am so happy that you review this story, thank you very very much

"This is NOT a family show!"
😁😁😁😁😁
Cube was directed by Vincenzo Natali who did storyboards for the Beetlejuice animated series based on the film by Tim Burton who directed Batman who in this comic went to arkham asylum
COINCIDENCE? I think not
Oh my GOOOD. ALAN GRANT! BREYFOGLE! ZSASZ DEBUT! was my favorite Batman arc of that time period. HYPED
I'd love to see you guys do a Back Issues on Joker's Asylum Vol. 1 and 2.
My only gripe with this story is Batman taking down all of his rogues in a small room. Batman often has enough trouble with them one on one, so I don't really buy him being able to defeat them all at once so quickly.

Personally, I like Nightwing with an open collar. When you've trained with Batman, you've gotta show off that build. (Honestly, I just find it sexy.)
If I’m being honest I think Zsaz is Batman’s most dangerous villain. In terms of real world applications
It's three in the morning and I'm on my break at work, and I feel like death and then there's a new back issue's and I feel...life again
You work at 3 in the morning?

This show is the best keep up the good work you guys are the best comic channel ever
One of the first Batman comics I tried to read had Cornelius as the villain, after that it was 10 years before I picked up another Batman book.
I'm more familiar with the sequel to this story Arkham Reborn where Jeremiah becomes Black Mask. That book is really crazy.
I just read this story thanks to you. Definitely one of my new favorite Batman stories. Thank you.
Interesting made me ready to get into my next title Batman: Arkham Reborn
This was my first comic series I've owned
Ooooo I'll bite. RIP Couch, thou shall be missed.
You should take a look at the Arkham Knight graphic novels. They tell how jason todd's origins in the arkham verse.
I have only one word for this episode...
CUBE!!!!!!!!
It's the couch ComicPop deserves but not the one it needs right now
Alan Grant also created the legendary Batman series, "Legends of The Dark Knight".
Awesome Back Issues guys!!!
22:05 i want to hear more of that anecdote!!! cool episode by the way
Great work guys! Following from Argentina!

If Tiffany had been in this episode, she would've started singing the Secret Tunnel song from Last Airbender.
The red couch will live on in our memories forever. This was a great episode btw I really enjoyed it.
ben says he bumps into stuff and gets scars all the time *grabs his arm and remembers the pain* lol

I need a Therapy Minotaur T-Shirt! Someone make it happen!!!
Ethan got a kick out of finally seeing the R in action lmao
Jeremiah arkham becomes black mask during battle of the cowl
Thank goodness there are speech bubbles that speech bubble saved thousands of people from being traumatized
And Jeremiah Arkham is fucking nuts
Like seriously nuts
the only laugh greater than the chris christie jab was that of the taint. well played, gentleman, well played
Never stop this Show.
20:58 I'm surprised no one brought up RED DRAGON. that's what this reminds me of
Cop: Batman you not a cop. Batman: I'm Batman!
😂🤣 Ben's face @ 25:22
The shaaaaaame!!😂😂
I would honor the detective by presenting the "GOOCH." Particularly after a 2-3hr gym session.
It's a shame they only use Victor for two or three min in Batman Begins. Another great show!
That wink
Good bye coach you will be remembered and missed

Loved it! Thanks so much and I promise we'll keep pushing forward ;)
you know batman went on trail when Hervey dent was prosecutioing sal Maroney
Scarecrow is a scarecrow because he's afraid of birds? Not because he likes to scare people and the original writers used a dumb name?
...sure.

Hey sal, I have a suggestion for next week's episode. DO JUSTICE BY ALEX ROSS. I know Ethan and ben would like it. So PLEASE DO IT NEXT WEEK.
Nice Cube reference!
Do another back issues on the Justice League! The Lightning Saga or The Tornado's Path!

the real reason Zzazz killed the contractor was because his secret tunnel goes through the sewer.
Farewell redcouch :'(
Hey you guys should do a back issues of the secret service graphic novel.
Stopped counting at 400 scars. That was just his legs and torso, who knows how many were under that speech bubble.
*winces*
*crosses legs*
Mike D
He just starts cutting smaller scars.
it doesn't take much to leave a scar. I have them all over me as proof of that.
Yes! A Batman back issues! :)
