The monasteries made me feel something inside of me, like a reconnection to my spiritual side. It was like being close to Jesus and the heavens. @@williamneufeld7616Armenia is the First Nation to adopt Christianity as the state religion. Tiridates III converted and enacted the nationwide adoption of Christianity as the national religion in 301 AD. Egypt had Christianity introduced around 49 AD but didn’t adopt it as the official religion. It’s really a relatively small distinction in the spread of Christianity but one Armenians are still proud of.
Both Greek and Armenia are one of the oldest countries and nations in the world full of too much culture and history, there are many thing common between these countries.

All civilization came from The Armenians Highlands. What do other historians say...according to Anthropologist Mitchell S. Wow !! Can't express how much have I enjoyed this video. Didn't want it to end. I grew up as a little girl with Armenian kids and lived next to Armenian neighbours. As a child I had a dream to visit Armenia one day. My favourite classmate was an Armenian girl, my favourite teacher was our neighbor Armenian woman. But, suddenly everything had changed and horrible riots started in a country and all of them fled at once to Armenia , Russia , Canada and so on. It was very very sad... Few years later we left to Israel. Today I'm 43 years old and I remember all of them , their names and surnames and how wonderful and educated they were. I wish one day somehow I will have opportunity to take my three kids and come with them to travel in Armenia. Thank you for such a wonderful and precious video 💕

@Tina Tina Armenians have lived in the lands occupied by Turkey and Azerbaijan for around 3,500 years. Don’t you know that we used to be an empire during the reign of Tigranes the great from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean sea to the Caspian Sea. I know we can never get all our lands back, but first educate yourself before saying this like Armenians are eying your lands! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tigranes_the_Great

This is an excellent video about ARMENIA --- one of the oldest and greatest civilizations and the first Christian nation. Greetings from an American descendant of Bulgarians from Aegean Macedonia and Pirot!
Why Bolo Ethiopians and Armenians are the same type of Christian. Ethiopia had Christianity before Armenians were introduced; however Armenia was the first country to accept Christianity as an official religion backed by the state. Ethiopians and Armenians have a long history together dating back many centuries. And they love eachother to this day.

Here in Glendale there is a large community of Armenians, this land of theirs is so beautiful and rich with culture. I want to visit one day, this video is very informative! Thanks from LA
One of the most sacred & beautiful of places, culturally so rich; I’ve never been there but I’m very fond of Armenian art, music etc. As an ashkenazi Jew who lost family during the holocaust (not to mention centuries of persecution) the tragic yet resilient story of the Armenians resonates with me strongly. All men, women, & children are our brothers & sisters on this earth 🖤
In Singapore we have an Armenian church that dates back to the early 1800's. Though small in numbers, the Armenian population here are high achievers. The first Prime Minister of independent Singapore was Mr. David Marshall, a brilliant lawyer and a humane, honest man much admired by many. The Sarkies Brothers built Raffles Hotel, which until today is THE premium hotel in Singapore and an iconic landmark. Bravo Armenia.
Raffles Hotel was built by a Jewish family and they must be the Sarkis brothers that you mentioned. Also Prime Minister David Marshall was also Jewish. His family were originally from Iraq but settled in Singapore as traders. None of these prominent families were Armenian.

Wow, you are such a nice human being. Regardless, all you've been told to believe, you have your own opinion, your own truth and have courage to go against all lies you have been learned in schools. We Armenians have nothing against Turkish people its not their fault that they deny Genocide, it is not like they know the truth and they denying, they grew up learning an believing something else. it is the Government who knows what exactly happened and keeps his people away from the truth as people have power to make changes.
Agreed on all, except there's no getting to anywhere by keep chanting "genocide". There are 2 sides to the events of 1915 involving Armenians. There's history. You have to study it bilaterally or you are laughable. Politicians never been and surely aren't today in a position to talk about history. Simply because they chose to be politicans, regardless of their background. Armenians were the "nation loyal(millet) in the Turkish Empire, then towards the beginning of the collapse of it, some Armenians decided to rage villages, kill villagers, abduct people, rape women; all while fighting on the enemy front against the state they live in! Then, other Armenians, be it innocent or guilty, suffered consequences, which was mainly dislocation. Not as simple as this, but I didn't write this for a bigoted mind anyway, but for people who can think.

Armenians have lived in the lands occupied by Turkey and Azerbaijan for around 3,500 years. Don’t you know that we used to be an empire during the reign of Tigranes the great from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean sea to the Caspian Sea. I know we can never get all our lands back, but first educate yourself before saying this like Armenians are eying your lands!

Paul Ferrer I thought Ethiopia was Christian before them, but I could be wrong.
I love it. I felt the spirit of this land while watching=)
@Vintage Rocker is that comment necessary? Or are you just a natural born asshole with Shitty genetics??
Why Bolo Ethiopians and Armenians are the same type of Christian. Ethiopia had Christianity before Armenians were introduced; however Armenia was the first country to accept Christianity as an official religion backed by the state. Ethiopians and Armenians have a long history together dating back many centuries. And they love eachother to this day.

Is it at Telok Ayer? There’s a building there that I thought looked like a synagogue

Merci. Tashakur edarum.

Love from India❤️...such a long history like India💪🏼
Yeah Armenia has about 5000 years old history❤❤
Not true at all :
1- Noah Built his arche in Ain-El-Jerr in Lebanon as the bible says ( normal thing since the lebanese phoenicians were the first to build ships )
2- they say the ship set on Ararat Mountain , which is one of many names given to Mount Hermon in Lebanon ..
3- the dove came back with a leaf of olive . ( remember < lebannon was the only country that had the Olive trees , the sisters olive trees of Noah are in Lebanon ,, they're still producing olive oil , one of the finest in the world )
4- if the ship set in Armenia , it is impossible for the dove to cross this whole distance to bring a leaf of olive from Lebanon and return to Armenia
5-only in Lebanon there are villages carrying the name of Adam and Eve and Noah , . in Phoenician ( the original language of the Lebanese people )
6-God forbid Moises to enter mount of Lebanon , he told him that Lebanon is God's land on Earth
7- in Lebanon Jesus was born later on from Mary whose village Kana is in south Lebanon where Jesus performed his first miracle turning water into wine in the wedding celebration of his Mother's RELATIVES
8- galilee was a canaanite district that always belonged to lebanon until very recently when it was split to annex it with Israel
9-John the Baptist grew up in the village of Kawkaba in Lebanon in his mother's aunt house , where he learnt the baptism from the Phoenicians monks of Lebanon
10- Jesus never left Lebanon and spent his life in the historical land of Lebanon ,, jerusalem was at the beginning a Phoenician canaanite city built and gouverned by Melchisedec from Sidon Lebanon.. the Jews admit in their bible that Abraham confiscated it
11- remember oldest inhabited cities in the world are Lebanon's .. not one single armenian city exists in the top 10 oldest
12- first christian people were the Phoenician canaanites of Lebanon , and the first saint Martyrs , were from Lebanon ( Barbara , Aquilina , Marina , Christina , Theodora , brothers frumentius ) first bishops who wrote the christian liturgy , and first ever cathedral in Tyre in Lebanon almost 30 years before resurrection church was erected by the emperor Helen
13-Lebanon the smallest country in the world has churches and Lebanese priests in every city in the world .. that's a miracle in itself

@@lebanonthehostbecamethehos2904 haha, I guess Saint Paul went to Arabia in Lebanon too. Haha, Get your facts right.
@@davidphelps1083 you better point at what's not right in my facts and bring proofs . otherwise , you're comment doesn't worth the 30 secs wasted to write it .. you just made a record errors in just 2 phrases . i give you some clues ... LEBANON is CANAAN and PHOENICIA . and ARABIA was at least 30k miles away .. 😏 SMARTY
Thumbs up for Armenia! 🇦🇲 🇦🇲 🇦🇲
I yesterday posted a video about my experience in Armenia and I really think more people should know how beautiful it is.
I'm going to Armenia next month! I'm so excited-- it looks so beautiful and I've heard amazing things about the country and people.

This is my first time to watch documentary about Armenia and it is informative and great narration. Love from PH
Jeru. mabuhay. Some day I love to come to see so many flowers of Phillipines islands where my Austria father fought in World War 2. I love horses, wine and apricots so much.
My lovely homeland, you have been through so much, yet you stand as proud and majestic as your mountains. People will always be jealous of what you have, even if you have nothing, but your people. And though your people may be scattered across the Earth, our blood always calls us to our roots to return and rebuild the homeland. Loved the documentary, and for all of you haters... GO GET A LIFE!
Kristapor Aintabtsi Don't mind on them. I may sell drugs in Colombia and Honduras, but I will admit that I'm an Armenian!
As an American I can say I am indeed jealous
I don’t see any hateful comment here?? Perhaps it is you who needs to get a life. Was thinking Armenia might be an interesting place to visit it not after your comment
Armenia....Greeting from Australia, love You
Was one of my favorite travels.....I love Armenia and its culture...I will absolutely go back someday
you welcome anytime thank you so much for your lovely positive vibes about my country :)
I am married to an Armenian sweetie, therefore Armenia is my motherland by adoption. I visited the beautiful country and met with the beautiful people and I would like to go there again. My full love and support from an Albanian patriot in love with his country of adoption.
Wrong question!
Pershendetje zoteri,....me ra ne sy komenti juaj ne kete dokumentar.

Seems like Armenian women like to stray
I love Armenia and Albania, two tucked-away treasures.
Im so.lucky to visit armenia even if its just 5 days. Saw almost all the tourist attractions. Very clean, nice people and the serenity of it is awesome.
This is by far the best, most beautiful, informative and professional documentary I have ever seen on TH-cam. I would love to visit Armenia's wonders. Long live and thrive, Armenia!
Saw Armenia on news today about a war. Didn't even knew where it was. And this was in recomnded. What a beautiful country. Looks like very ancient and historic. Love from Sri Lanka ❤️
It was in Karabakh region, internationally recognised Azerbaijani territory occupied by armenian russian troops 28 years ago. The territory was occupied, peaceful inhabitants were massacred. But we revenged and took our territory back. Really, revenge is so sweet feeling.
@@nigarnovruzova8682 I know, revenge will feel great once Artsakh is back where it should be: in Armenian borders
@@nigarnovruzova8682 hmm yet all I see are Armenian monasteries, homes, and ancient artifacts:) revenge on WHAT exactly? You who came from Mongolia? WE will get OUR revenge once we get Western Armenia and Artsakh back. Just because it’s in your hands doesn’t mean it belongs to you. Just like stolen property doesn’t belong to the thief.
