Gakpo can retain the ball so well and has better finishing than Nunez. He’s tall, strong and his hold up play is amazing. Gakpo in the number 9 with Szob in 10, Mac working as an 8 in semi double pivot with Endo/Endo replacement is the way forward.

Gomez and Quansah both exist
Gomez isn't good enough after his injuries and Quansah hasn't proved enough. Besides Matip in our champions league winning season, his CB partner has been very inconsistent. He needs his Gabriel to Saliba. Pair that with a bright CDM in his prime and we're challenging consistently again. I do hope I'm proved wrong and Konate can step up and be his prime partner.

The biggest problem is whether FSG releases funds for Arne to spend. Let's hope so. Klopp is going to be missed (hugely), but I am optimistic for the future under Arne.

Great video on the tactics that will be used, but I have 2 issues.
1. Palhinha is 28 years old, 29 next season, he's just not the profile of player Liverpool and especially Michael Edwards go for.
2. I love Harvey Elliot and think he's got a massive future at Liverpool, but I cant ever see him being a regular at RW, he just doesn't have the pace.

Trent doesn’t want to play at RB at all, plus he’s a liability in defensive transitions. The RCB and RCM have to work double time to baby sit him and I’m personally done with that BS.

I wouldn't be surprised seeing Szoboszlai in Salah's position. The points from losing position stat; I'd rather we just didn't got 1-0 in every match.
Harvey Elliot doesn't have the pace to play the wings. He has no technical ability; his eye for a good pass is great but you need to be technical and pacey to play the wings i.e. Diaz Duku etc. Look for now Elliot is a good squad player and that's it.
Wieffer is basically a must sign. Szobo as the 10. Sell Salah, Darwin and Diaz if a good offer comes in. I think Liverpool has to many CMs. Someone has to go. Endo, Bajcetic, MacAllister, Jones, Gravenberch, Szobo, Gakpo, Harvey

This is great. I don't see Endo or Nunez lasting long once Slot arrives, so an upgrade in the number 6 and 9 positions must definitely happen but top players in those positions will be very expensive. Also, TAA must start to play further forward permanently and Bradley to be a regular in the starting 11 as he is a better defender. There is also the question of Mo Salah .....
Endo's stats are really skewed by our period of no fit midfielders. Hes Japan Captain, and was captain at his last club. His work rate is incredible, and hes sound on the ball. Bajcetic is the natural successor and saves us a lot of money.

Great video, what do you think about Nunez playing that LW position when Diaz isn't there or another no.9 is available? Also what do you think of Youseff Fofana from Monaco for the CDM role? Also are there any considerations for academy talents moving into this lineup (Danns, Becke, Morton)?
Would love to see what Nunez can do at LW but never been overly impressed with Fofana, think he's a bit clumsy.
I think personally Liverpool should sign a CB type player for their DM role since if we look at other title charging teams in the prem, they have basically massive tall players in at either rb/lb or DM. For example Akanji, John stones, Gvardiol etc, and since you can’t replace Robertson or Trent in this side because of how amazing they truly are, he should instead sign a player like John stones to play DM in the place of Endo instead of Paulinha
For me Salah's place in the first 11 is gone. I genuinely think he needs a little bit of rest and challenge at the same time, using Szoboszlai and Elliott on that position too. I'd love to see Gakpo as CAM, he was outstanding for Netherlands and PSV there, he could also replace Diaz LW in the second half.
I want to see Diaz, Gakpo, Jota, Szoboszlai scoring. There is so much potential that we used to waste on Salah, as Klopp is leaving, I wish that particular thing would change. I really think we could even be better under Arne Slot if we forget a little bit of Salah.
Szoboszlai could be, and also should be a number 10 starter, I know he's regressed in the second half of the season with the injuries, but I believe he is still the guy for the future. My main reasoning is that, this formation is an attacking setup, and the formation defensive structure is not gonna be like this. (Yeah, I know, what a suprise). But with that being said, a box to box midfielder should be at the number 10 spot, like Maccallister. Szoboszlai was a great box to box when he was at his best, his defense was phenomenal, his work ethic is great.
I also believe Gakpo going to be one of the rotation wingers or our rotation number 9, until Salah stays. I don't dislike the guy, but currently only false 9-ish center is the position for him, so the new regime needs to find his starting spot.
Also, there should be a new CDM, I love Endo very much, he is my current starter, but he cannot take the job alone. Maybe Bajcetic will see play, I'm not sure about that one, but we have to get a guy, who is young, rotational, has a huge potential and who's gonna take Endo's job in the next 2 seasons. Ironic, because my gut says that could be Trent in the new regime, but the idea only works if we sign a starting RB, like Frimpong (which could be huge, but it also very unlikely, it's just not an Edwards kinda pick, he only signed Virgil and Allison for big bucks).
Elliot wide is madness for the modern day winger. No pace, dribbling is ok and replacing Salah is not ideal for me

Left back we have to cash in Kostas Tsimikas who is a surplus for me. We've got a real deputy for Robbo in Owen Beck who was the best left back in the scottish league this season . Just like Connor Bradley he need game time and confidence to prove his worth.

I like the fact he wanted the liverpool job, but I will know if he's on job with how he deals with certain players like nunez, szobo, and salah. salah isn't a starter while szobo and nunez aren't even at the level for liverpool. Elliot needs to be a starter. We get a lb starter. I dont want to see trent in midfield. We need a revamp in the 1st 11. A lot of the players arent techical, most lack a first touch

Gyokeres is basically doing what Nunez was doing in Benfica. Running the channels, scoring goals, bullying defenders etc.
And Gyokeres was far worse than Nunez in terms of performance until 2 seasons ago (23-24yo).

Let's wait for Gyokeres to transfer to the Premier League and see what he does before we pass judgement on how good he will be. By the way the reason everyone is hating on Nunez is his price tag. Which he did not set. That was between both clubs and his agent. He's a 35-40 million striker at best. Liverpool paid 64 million with 21 in add-ons that definitely haven't been met. Chill out.

More than a few people in the comments here showing just how impatient modern football fans are. What is so wrong with this current squad? So many are forgetting that we were just a few wins away from the title. I would be surprised if Slot signed more than 2 players this summer. I think Wieffer will be one, since there‘s been a need for a defensively dominant CM since Fabinho peaked around 2019/20, and he would be the perfect foil for Trent as a 6, which seems inevitable. Back four Robbo VVD Quansah/Konate Bradley. VVD still imperious as he showed last year and Quansah isn’t going to the Euros this summer for no reason. People saying Robbo has lost his pace when pace was never even his strong suit in the first place. Lol. He and Bradley will provide width and chances, Bradley especially will allow Mo more license to roam in the middle. I do think Salah will stick around and be used as a sort of free roaming playmaker, and if not Elliott is a more than decent candidate for that role. Macca as attacking 8 and Szobo/Diaz in a more advanced role, probably supporting Gakpo, would realistically round things out. Hard to say exactly how things will look come August but that is a possibility

Team have continously attcked us there. Mitoma, H.M Son to name a few. i hope he can provide a solution to that.

I think in general we need a new striker, Nunez isn't clinical and Liverpool use to thrive on clinical finishers like Mane, Firmino, Salah and Saurez. Unless somehow he learns how to score but I recommend a new striker.

Slot his strength has been his amazing capacity to play beautiful high pression football and buying players that fits perfectly into that system , i see a lot of people hating without even knowing him but with a budget that Liverpool has I'm 95% he will succeed. ETH is a whole different trainer , slot has always been different. His playstyle is way more advanced and 99% of the Netherlands loved watching his tactics and adaptability. I have seen people say stuff about his lack of leadership and charisma but i think 100% of the Netherlands can agree that the way he speaks and present himself is pure class and leadership.

Harvey Elliott has so much potential, however that's all it's been since he joined Liverpool. He has this habit of always looking for a pass back and doesn't look forward to consider any kind of ball progression. We've seen him hold up the ball in many moments that deem a counter attack and this has left many scoring opportunities closed off from this behaviour. In general I believe we need to teach him how to be creative or move him on. I'm not sold on Darwin either, though I have faith that clinical finishing can be thought, I just hope Darwin picks it up fast preferably.

I would start Alisson, Trent (but don’t ask him to defend.. attacking Fb), Konate, VVD replaced by Diomande, Robertson or buy Ignacio, Bajcetic, Szobo box to box and Graven. Against low block swap Macca in, Endo back up Bajcetic, Diaz, Nunez/Gakpo/Jota and replace Salah with Sane or Bakayoko.

So maybe put Diaz on that right flank and Gakpo LW. Szobo nr10, Mecca nr8 and a new DM, Palhinha or Wieffer. I would love to see Gyökeres as the striker. These are my opinions.

Kinda ironic that your transfer suggestions are basically to raid Sporting, after Amorim was top of many peoples lists and then very quickly disappeared from it.
Putting trent in midfield, replacing most of the defense and putting nunez on the left is just imperative, nothing will go anywhere if that doesn't happen, the rest is Another Fabinho style player, and looking at either promotion or replacement of the RW due to Salah going, Gakpo and Jota through the middle, Diaz and Nunez through the left, gakpo can occasionally play on the right tbf, it's weird because it's all there just in the wrong places, especially the defence, it's been going down the tubes since 2021

Quansah is better on the ball than Konate, Jota can never stay fully fit all season, although he did used to be a second striker/winger to Jiminez at Wolves, Szobo could be used at RW, if they don't sell Salah, then personally i can't see Slot getting the backing to buy a new CB, DM and Striker, also I know Robertson has been a great servant to the club but in my opinion, he needs to be upgraded, maybe Robinson from Fulham but again, he's not gonna come cheap.
