RIDING thru BROMO & Tumpak SEWU waterfall & Ijen on a motorbike

- Just over the sea from Bali lies a spectacular part of the world called "East Java" or "Jawa Timor" in the Indonesian language. In this special place are many treasures! Join me on this episode where I travel from Mount Bromo (in the Probolinggo area) - all the way to Bali.
You can see I also visit the incredible but dangerous Tumpak Sewu (Coban Sewu) waterfall on the slopes of Mount Semeru in Malang area (close to Bromo) - The path down is very precarious and a real adventure! Not for the faint hearted.
And Finally I visit the hypnotic and mesmerising Ijen Crater. With its famous turquoise lake. Breasthtaking!
And to lift the same amount of Sulphur from the miners. Its 80kg in a little basket on the shoulder. Very heavy!
I also get caught in many many rain and thunder storms and my tent gets flooded (again!)
I am riding my Honda CB500x from Jakarta (the capital city) to Bali. Across the entire island of Java, Indonesia.

kalau musim hujan enak pergi ke Bromo,, jadi gak berdebu.. tapi tdk enak kalau hujan ke air terjun, karna air nya jadi kotor blm lagi kalau banjir di sungainya

And I will also ride across to get to Sumatra 2023
But you’re right, I skipped a large part of central and East Java - solo to Malang. Because I didn’t have enough time. I definitely want to visit again and climb the mountains of Raung, Argapuro, Luwu and others.
Next videos I will post will be scuba diving from Komodo, Banda, Raja Ampat.. but actually I am planning next motorbike trip now! Leaving within 30 days

Bro, you missed out on like 80% of Madakaripura. It's one of the biggest waterfall in Indonesia, you're supposed to continue from the part where you flew the drone.
But it might be dangerous since it was rainy season, there might be sudden flood, and the water is not as clear. I hope you can revisit in the summer.

Bravo! I really enjoyed your video of your trip Sam! I’ve taken the ferry a few times from Banyuwangi to Bali, and have to say, seeing you ride onto that ferry from East Java across the Bali Straights made me quite nostalgic 😢.
Most of travellers hate the rain when they're went to Indonesia, but me personally love it cause what's the point of going to tropical Country without experiencing the rain etc 😅

Totally agree! It’s adds some challenges and generally creates much more mood on your trip. I’d much rather travel in rain than beaming hot sunshine all day long…
22:39 now we know: there's no bad weather. Only issue would be bad equipment, which doesn't seem to be the case

Been there too. Java has over a thousand waterfalls on it. You shouldnt have any problem finding one to enjoy in near total seclusion.
yes you are right! But visiting on the weekends can be a bit busy. I always try to visit any waterfall early in the morning on a weekday.
where did you stay in Bromo? that accommodation looked great.

It’s from probolingo side (cemorolawang) and the name of the guesthouse is “Otix”

This was on a weekday (I think a Tuesday) and I tried my absolute best to avoid the crowds. It was in February before CNY

Yes I found out a year later that there is a viewing area the opposite side and a better pathway down. Although i think it’s a longer and further away from the waterfall
