I never knew how much I needed mechanical shutter until I switched to the ZV-E1. I don't do sports photography, but there are times where I need to take pictures on a moving car/train, the trees in the foreground are always almost 45 degree slanted lol.
Yes exactly! I don’t have any prior experience shooting electronical shutter other when I shoot silent on my A7IV. The main reason why I can’t cope without the mechanical is that I feel I have much more control over the final image when feel the curtain go down 😂
This is much appreciated, thank you! Well, it takes time building a community. Thanks for your sub and nice comment. That what’s drives me to continue 🙏🏻
Yes 100%! I left that out because parts of the video was recorded before the update. And I have a separate video for it, but you’re absolutely right. The M&C app is so powerful
This camera is great. Only problem I have with it is that when shooting a lot of 4k 120fps, it can overheat decently fast. Not sure how fast compared to other cameras though, maybe it's no different. Oh yeah, and the zoom-lever too, as you mentioned 🙃. I wonder if there is a way to disable it, I haven't checked that out yet
Since this was a loaner I wasn’t able to install the update for 120fps, so did not get the chance to test, but I’m not surprised it overheats! Hm! Interesting! Maybe it’s possible to disable..
Good ZVE1 review Anders 👏 Sub from a small german ZVE1 TH-cam filmmaker 🎥 I love my small ZVE1 although I have the bigger FX6 😂 for me a perfect cam for holidays and run and gun filmmaking
Thanks for your nice words! Yes, I can’t believe the power packed in this compact camera. So perfect for my TH-cam-videos! How does it match up with your FX6 in terms of colors and quality in general?
@@andersmenge Thank you for your time. Please view 1:16 and tell me you consider that video to be stable. I do not. Maybe this is the difference in our opinions. We can have different standards but I feel this is a step backwards.
The zve1 has the best ibis on any Sony camera right now the dynamic active stab is bananas 🍌. If you add a lens with oss it’s almost gimbal like. I have the Zeiss 16-35 and the stab is so smooth.
Great video!
Totally agree on the zoom-lever thingy😂
Thank you Olle 🙏🏻 Yes, it’s a disaster 😅
Great review! I learned a lot
Thanks! Appreciate it a lot!

Amazing Video Anders!
Thanks Jonas!
why do all these channels have so few subscribers?
this is well made good job

Do you think that a mark 2 will come out soon?
No, not close.
Any camera that can shoot clean footage at 12800 is still a very powerful tool
You are not wrong!
More worth it now with the update adding support for the Monitor & Control app!

I got small hands, but I still need a smallrig cage too make this camera comfortable..
I don’t doubt that for a second
Nice video
Thank you!
Nice video, just picked one up for 1200usd after tax
That sounds like a very good deal!
👏👏
but if ZV-E1 is not, what is?
You tell me!
🦉🤘
Ugla er her fortsatt 👀👀
Yes, the ZED V E1 is still worth it 🤣
Pronouncing it like that is more cringe than me as a 32 year old saying cringe. Sorry not sorry 😂
@ ha, strange how the opposite is true here
The stab is terrible, I would consider almost the entire video to be unusable video. The only stable video is from a tripod.
Well that’s a weird take. Sure your unit is not faulty?

That’s because there is no stabilization modes active. And handheld ofc.

@ 100%
Absolutely not worth it.
I have to buy a new camera every year because the ones from last year are no longer worth it.
🤣🤣🤦♂🤦♂
You are entitled to your own opinion 😅
