The Bull Shit is how Jeep now charges an extra $495 for paint colors, $2000 for an Automatic transmission, $1700 for LED lights, $1800 for an unpainted black uninsulated hardtop, all the packages are so ridiculously expensive. A Fool and his money are soon parted at a Jeep dealership.

Just a clarification...Tommy's statement regarding the duel top option: "it gives you a hardtop with a soft to mounted underneath so you can just fold it up" is 100% NOT accurate. You cannot have the soft top and the hardtop on at the same time, you have to choose one or the other and store the one you're not using. When you purchase your Jeep with the dual top option, the soft top comes packed in a large box in the back of the Jeep, but it is definitely not mounted with the hardtop.

With some Wrangler models you can get the rear hardtop with the Sun Rider soft top where the Freedom panels would be installed from the factory. The High Tide model comes with this standard.

Loved this video. I really can fanboy the hybrid powertrain. I have a 2021 4xe. Of 5 Wranglers I have owned, it is my favorite by far. Awesome powertrain, plus the $7500 tax credit which isn't mentioned in this video - really makes the ownership cost of the vehicle to be much cheaper than any other powertrain option. Real world experience is that I am averaging 38 mpge on this vehicle as an apartment dweller. Also, something I haven't seen a lot of comments on boards - because the ~800 lb battery is placed beneath the rear bench seat and spans the full beam of the vehicle it lowers the center of gravity and provides additional roll and yaw stability. It also seems to smooth out some of the steering wobble.

I drove both (with 8 speed automatic) and the 2.0L Turbo fuel economy is at least 4-6 MPG above the V6 using 87 octane, and gets even better for 91. V6 is a good truck engine (great for towing) and rock crawling - that's why it can be found in many RAMs, in Gladiator, and Wrangler. The real problem with V6 + 8 speed automatic is the crappy eTorque system, and if you live where the temperature reach down to -40 - gotta stay away from any FCA hybrids, especially 4xe.

I’ve owned a 2018 JLU Sport S, and now I own a 2021 JLUR Soft top. I wanted an easy way to go topless during these Minnesota Summers, instead of having to go through the trouble of unbolting and lifting a hardtop. I bought it in February 2021 from the nice people in Burnsville (Shoutout).
Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t hear you talk about the 4High Auto option on the automatic transmission. That was the second reason why I upgraded to the Rubicon.
The remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel are priceless. The 8” screen is nice. Much better than the 7” screen that was in my Sport S. The LED head and taillights are so much better than the halogen headlights.
One thing I don’t like is the key fob. The panic button is huge, and can and will be set off just by having it in your pocket. If it gets below freezing, your Jeep might not be able to detect it. That might be an issue if you keep it in a jacket pocket, or in a purse and spend sometime outside.
Other than that, I highly recommend getting a Jeep. I was looking at the 2023s a few months ago, and I saw they had a purple color option that must have gone away. Reign was the name, but maybe they decided not make it available yet. I know that’s the only color I’d like more than my Firecracker Red Jeep 😊

Even the cheapest very basic standard Wrangler two door just with its factory HR and LR and without lockers or a winch can go almost anywhere. It's the break over angle thats way superior to the four door . It's incredible light weight, makes climbing almost vertical rock faces a breeze or steep snow or mud inclines look so easy , because its not trying to pull massive weights especially soft top equiped versions at 1405KGs is really easy for the engine and gear ratios to get you anywhere or over anything. So from experience the basic 2door wrangler it just never seems to loose traction . Always has plenty more power for you and the gear ratios are so good you don't get stuck unlike like other heavy 4x4 in the 1800kgs 2200 kg ranges . It's a true legend classic , can't be beaten and is what makes this little jeep arguably the best off road capable vehicle of all time .

I've always enjoyed the Jeep Wrangler until Jeep only offers the 3.6 without E-torque in the manual transmission. Our dealer has had so many complaints with 3.6 E-torque having coolant leaks and the coolant pump failing. For that reason I went with the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. I can carry a lot of extras in the bed and is actually very stable on the highway. I'm getting 17.2 to 17.8 in mpg. I rotate the tires every 3-4000 miles and change my oil using Amsoil Signature Series every 6,000 miles. I now have 20,150 miles and it runs like the day I purchased it new in 2021.

We traded our soft top 2015 Rubicon Unlimited in 2020 on a Rubicon Recon that had the 2.0L turbo. It was much faster and got better mileage than the V6 in the 2015. However, I preferred the V6 after driving the turbo 4 for a while. I wanted the V6 in the Recon edition but it only came with the turbo. That Recon had every available option and the one touch sky roof was worth the extra coin IMO. We loved that option. If you buy a Wrangler be sure to bring it into the dealership every time your UConnect acts up and then lemon law that thing. The UConnect on the JL Wrangler is broken beyond repair. They make software updates that fix one thing and break another.
You cannot ever reset it. You literally have to park your Jeep for 1 hour and try again and then maybe the touchscreen will work or maybe your Apple Car Play/Android Auto will work without giving you a "device not supported" message.
Some people say you can open the hood, pop the right fuse and that'll restart it... I'll never do this because when I had my aux battery replaced literally nothing worked and Jeep had to re-program the radio with the VIN to let the car know what features should be present. For example the backup camera was nowhere to be found, SiriusXM doesn't work, etc.
I understand software. I know it can be flaky at times. That's why any sane company would provide a way to restart the thing other than "pulling over and waiting an hour". It's a safety thing too. Sometimes the touchscreen just stops working altogether. Then you're messing with your phone trying to get music playing, make phone calls, etc. Every other piece of equipment I have you can hold the power button down for 10 seconds and it'll restart, why Jeep hasn't figured out a way to do this is beyond me.

Having driven one of my Wranglers for 13 years, I still miss it (traded for something more practical. LOL). The maneuverability in a short Wrangler is so much fun! Plus it looks so much better. The 2-door brings all the smiles. If you are a two car family, consider the traditional 2 doors. The 4 door is the practical choice, but will that bring the smiles? If I could keep my Dad vehicle and buy a Jeep, it would absolutely be a 2 door with a manual transmission.
