Hi, I've just got myself a 707 which I wanted to use to record sequences and then play them back through external hardware synths. I'd use an external midi keyboard to input the sequences and so your video looks perfect for the first part but I'm finding the 707 has limitations with the second part. I've connected the 707 to a Neutron just to get things going and have made a quick Tone Track sequence using the pads but find that non of the sliders or control knobs have any effect on the Neutron so my idea of using them to fade in and out the external sounds just doesn't work and they have to be done with the gain controls on the synths. The 707 controls only work with its internal sounds so do you think that what I'm trying to achieve just won't work? Thanks.
Check my video on audio insert. Also, if you want cc control of knobs on you neutron, you will need the midi implementation chart for the neutron and assign the numbers of the parameters you want to control to the 707 knob assignment. You also have to set up TxControlChange for the track too.
