Here are my thoughts on this game: Animations - animations are one of probably 3 mains issues with this shit. The game cannot pick an animation quick enough for your command. When it does select an animation, prepare for your opponents players to be tackling you after you’re 1-2 yards AHEAD of them. Passing - hilariously illogical. Facing the right way? Pass doesn’t work. Facing the complete opposite direction, perfect accuracy. Through balls of every variety are broken. You have to overcompensate the game screwing you to not get punished. Shooting - powershots are the only good shooting mechanic. First timing them from anywhere shouldn’t be a thing though. Defending - another major issue. Doesn’t matter if it’s manual or AI, the skill gap is on the floor. Everyone knows the state of defensive AI but manual tackling is illogical. Your opponent can press tackle 5 times, miss the ball and still be next to you. There’s no punishment in tackling or positioning when it comes to any type of defending. Even the fact you can sprint into to people without thinking and take the ball is so painful. Dribbling - Again I go back to animations. You cannot move properly 95% of the time. Should you be able to spin round in a circle perfectly? No. Should logical dribbling and skill moves work though? Yes. Pace - it’s a real life attribute and that’s that. The way to adapt to quick players is defend deeper, use quicker players or position yourself properly (provided that’s rewarded). I could go on but I’ll end it here you get the point. If you find this fun to play then I’m happy for you but it’s not for me anymore.

I went from 5-1 and lost the rest always by a gol difference…everything was perfect for my opponents…my players don’t move but my opponents they like fish in the water but gonna keep grinding
Gameplay is terrible. The bounce backs, the momentum when winning and all the glitches in between make the game so unenjoyable. You could be a much better player 3-1 up in the last 5 minutes and the momentum shift will cause you to lose. Very little skill gaps and even the content especially the evo situation is a disgrace.

This Fifa cured me from my Fifa addiction. I have been playing Fifa since Fifa World Cup 98 (yes I am bit of a older player) . But what EA have been doing the last few years I personally argue since 20 has been downright criminal. The Point of no return happend for me in EA FC 25 what an absolute trash game in every single possible way. Before anyone comes with "git gud" or anything like that I have been always an elite Player that hit multiple rank 1s in the last few years. Goodbye EA FC/Fifa and RIP

My problems with EA Fc 25: - general performance issues - insane momentum switches which makes you loose to players worse than you even when you are 2 goals up - terrible defending AI... if the game wants you to loose your defenders just run away from the striker and your whole defense is beaten with a single press of triangle - the tacklings are awful, sometimes I tackle the player with the ball three times and still dont get posession - The goalkeeping is worse than ever, they make insane saves from a 10 meter distance but concede a 30 meters screamer a minute later - 90th minute goals every second match - The passing is simply unbearable because my players are straight up passing to a different player I am not aiming at - The rebounds make no sense and always bounce to the player ea favours - Rivals matches dont count sometimes - Rush challenges dont count sometimes - The pace of the individual players is meaningless as even the slowest defenders keep catching up to my strikers - If ea wants you to win your players start making good runs which lead to easy goals, however as soon as you are a few goals up it seems impossible to get through the opponents defense - corner kicks are impossible to defend, especially if the opponent has a player like Van Dijk. You simply cannot stop him from making a header - random game crashes - goals just dont feel satisfying like they used to - kickoff glitches are still a thing - New cheat in which you are unable to sprint - Dimarco is insane for some reason - switching players while defending is inaccurate and makes manual defending way harder - unnecessary graphics in the first minutes of the game - Sometimes I can tell after the first 10 minutes that I will loose this match Thats all I had on my mind for now, tell me if I forgot something :>)
The game is meant to be as frustrating as possible so that you spend money to improve your team. There’s no going back. It’s what gaming has become. UT will never be the same as it once was.

Not to mention the pack weight. You can't even accumulate fodder anymore unless you get rank 1 in WL every week, and 15 wins in elite rivals. I am in division 2 and get around 9 wins each week, play squad battles, complete all objectives and the season pass. I could barely complete a single icon pack, and that was the cheaper one that came out two weeks ago. And my best pull is gold VVD from a 75+ pick. Other than that I have to buy my entire team for WL because the SBCs are either trash or overpriced, and the players I pack are barely 84 fodder.
Biggest issue is they're still using Frostbite engine for every FIFA when its literally made for first person shooter games. Just so incredibly incompetent this company
Or the fact that the servers can't handle all the new shit like playstyles and extra stats/roles/etc. Which means that every single game your players feel different.
The game is genuinely unplayable, the defender catch up speed when I'm through on net is unbelievable, the input delay on everything from passes to shots to tackles is horrible. The dribbling doesn't even exist. The finishing is awful even when timing the shots green, how is it that I'm more likely to score a trivela or finesse from 35 yards out than a green timed driven shot with 88 shooting rashford from 5 yards away. The keepers sexually harass my attackers at every turn whenever I have the rare opportunity to be through. The passes don't go where I aim them like half the time. I'm not even going to mention the rebounds, deflections, and bounce backs after tackling that happen all of the time. Every year it just gets more and more aids. I have no desire to play.
Sold my ps5 because of this game, it was the only game I enjoyed and I actually liked 24 a lot, but this passing, this amount of animations and the goalkeepers!!?? Not to mention defensive ai….

As an EA NHL content creator I feel the same way. I can understand EA canadians making a lackluster soccer game, but them even screwing up a hockey video game just shows the incompetence of EA Sports. NHL this year has alot of potential to be good but is just ruined by input delay and broken built-in mechanics such as “skill based one timers” and “the full pressure system” seems like fifa is the same way this year which really sucks man. Sucks to see where sports games are at right now
You know what's funny Nick you made me realize how much better the responsivness on PC is when we play together in your RAT to glory on PC 2 years ago. I played on the USA server w/ 130 MS lol and still the game felt way more responsive than 30 MS servers on Ps5. BTW you're right. The actual problem is Animations and 60fps / 60 hz Console gaming cant handle it.. My Gameplay is so much better on PC bc of 300 FPS on a 27'' AORUS QD OLED 0.03 ms Monitor w/ 4090 RTX but it's funny how much we need to invest into all this to make this game playable
hey man i just wanna say i think u really need a beefy pc to run this game.. because i played this game on my pc which has rtx 4060(i can run any games at highest settings with no problem) except this pile of garbage..like i genuinely cannot comprehend how my gpu having problems running this game.. btw i have the game both on ps5 and my pc.. I genuinely felt no differnece other than the hz of the monitor but my players feels sluggish on the ball, ai attack is non existent like they're standing like statues and not making proper runs like i have to player lock to them to get them running.. wthell is this new iq tactics... its genuinely soo jarring.. i have 100 more problems but thats just to mention some few..i have to turn the settings down to run this game like genuinely i cant believe...

I have never been so frustrated with a purchase I have ever made in my life. I play on pc and my gameplay is atrocious, like everyone else. I started with FIFA 10 and have played every year. This is one of the worst games I have ever played in my life not just talking sports game. The amount of times I tackle the ball and the opposing player still ends up with it or is able to jam their way through my whole team is mind blowing. Just when you think you might win, you end up losing because of the lopsided and mind blowing things that this game purposefully has programed into it. EA this is unacceptable and you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

The problem is that this is a business decision. They won't invest in a new engine because the Casino works perfectly fine on Frostbite. That's the only issue. They sold us "Roles ++" and that already existed in previous fifas. They just put on a skin on it and renamed it. And everyone thinks it's something new. Same with playstyles, they were called traits and they always were there.
@fliprhd3758 they did boost the traits and made them more obvious, but in the end it's really nothing new. The only new feature is that certain players fit in certain roles and they mainly took inspiration from the far superior FM made by Sports Interactive.
I can’t lie man. I’ve watched a bunch of fifa TH-camrs over the years. Ones that support EAs actions ones that don’t appreciate them. Nick is the one that I have the most respect for because he always says the truth and speaks from the playerbase’s perspective. Keep doing what you do man. I think of quitting the game myself if there are no major fixes to come.
Hey Nick, I used to play Fifa 17 and 18 and watched all of your videos cuz I thought you had the best understanding of the transfer market out of anyone I had seen. Then I took a big break from Fifa and I just now finally got a PS5 and got FC 25 and looked up your channel only to see that you are approaching 1 mil subs! Just gotta say that I'm super glad that you've gotten the recognition you deserve because I remember you were working just as hard back when you had >10k subs. keep it up man!
As someone who’s been struggling w/ left stick over the past year, (not sure if this is common, but it really clicked last year then I would lose the “feel” of it and get it back over and over…very frustrating in and of itself) I’ve really noticed a much narrower skill gap. When I watch my matches back it’s amazing how much better I’m playing than 99% of opponents when I’m really feeling it and flying, but doesn’t add to getting results despite possession %, pass accuracy, chances created, etc. At the end of the day though, I’m a freaking competitor, love football, and piecing together unique squads of my dogs-mostly more obscure and lower rated players-in defiance of the meta. The difference this year, and I think Nick’s larger point, is the meta is fighting back quite a bit harder. The difference for me though is I take it all as a challenge, like it’ll just force me to go harder, spend some added time in the arena, watch my matches more carefully, and adjust accordingly to ultimately become a better player against any odds-FC Mamba for life💪🏾
I usually never comment in TH-cam, Twitch etc. but I really have to get this out of me. I am a relative new FIFA player, got into it in 2023 from a friend, FIFA 23 was an enjoyable learning year and a great start for me. I didn't really like FC 24 but I progressed to be Elite Division (since you couldn't demote) and 11/20 wins with the occasional 14 wins in TOTS and FUTTIES. Nowadays my mind is always preoccupied with the shit that I have felt and seen THIS FIFA. The biggest issue for me is that I don't enjoy winning, even by a margin of 5 goals. For anyone wondering I'm close to Div 1, 3 matches with x2 and 8-9/15 wins in Champions. My entire experience on console being rebounds, passes that don't register correctly, RNG decisions from players and delay just make winning and losing equally tilting. It doesn't even matter if I play a 4back instead of a 5back when I can't turn to give a pass in my midfield, and don't get me started with passing from GK to CBs and CBs to Midfielders with the AI pressure tactics. I cannot fathom what universe I'm living at to actually want to play this game, log on, play a Ping-Pong RNG sweat battle match and then log off from frustration. I do agree that the saving factor are the rewards, which have been really good for me at least. Watching your videos really makes me feel a lot better with what I'm experiencing every day and is probably one of the main reasons I continue playing this so please continue to help my sanity.

This video has given me the reassurance that most of the community feels like this, I have tried EVERYTHING to score I’ve changed formation tactics players and versions of fc because I’m going crazy trying to score and I just can’t, I’ve played this game for a decade and I play on ps5 and it’s the most unrealistic infuriating gaming experience I have ever had, I’m normally a rank 3-2 player and I can’t even get 9 wins this year half the time this year, it’s an appalling game and I’m borderline about to give up
Coming from someone who played from fifa 13 to fifa 23, this is exactly why I stopped playing this franchise last year. The first month is a honeymoon period. After the first month, EA releases their first patch, and the game reverts back to the previous year in terms of broken gameplay and server issues. FIFA 23 was probably the most fun I’ve had on a fifa when there was the lengthy meta at the very beginning. There are days where I miss it a ton, but these types of videos help me deal with the withdrawal away from the thing that was my getaway when I was at home because I know I’m better off.

Its not servers, it's not gameplay, it's not connection. THE GOD DAMN GAME IS RIGGED. IT IS A RIGGED CASINO THAT HAS NO OVERSIGHT. They are criminals. The games are rigged to illicit an emotional response. That's why 90% of goals are scored in the 45th and 90th minute. Its to try and frustrate you to the very peak of it's ability. W Take as per usual EA continue to remove the skill gap to try and make every single match close, like you said, everyone is now "good" at the game. The AI Does 90% of the work from offsides traps to defensive coverage. My biggest frustration right now with this game is how you can work so hard and long to score a good goal, only for your opponent to hit a 30 yard finesse shot with griezmann 1 minute later after you dominate the game
How to play FC25: 1. Begin by the Kick off glitch 2. Then Finesse or Powershot 3. You get a corner cause keepers can’t hold anything, now you have to use all the ratty corner tactics to score The game has no reward for build up, finishing inside the box is non existent. Defense AI is juiced up to the max, all cards are dead because everyone wants to have “the best player” in each position because of how much pay to win this game is. The state of this game is just beyond fixing.

You are absolutely right mate, I played 10 games in rivals and it was such a a horrible experience, I put my controller down and quit rivals. Just playing SB and career mode now. Thats how bad Rivals are.
There have been probably 4-6 days when I have actually enjoyed playing it against high level opponents. That's crazy considering the game has been out for over a month. And like I've heard from a lot of people, in this game you can win and not enjoy the game. Gameplay is so inconsistent. One day your players move like prime tikitaka Barcelona and on another day they move like hungover 5 division beer leaguers after a 2 month drinking streak. I also hate the new rivals system. 15 wins is too much for a dedicated player who works and has a family. Let alone if you are a casual who still wants to keep up with the game.

I mentioned that I took a break, and coming back I cannot believe how crazy it is that people are not using their own defenders, they jockey their CMs and let AI defend for them. Now, I still control my defenders, I prefer being in control, but I know that if I just didn't switch to them, they would defend better for me, coz that's what my opponents do. Nah man, Nick, my advice to you, start talking about 2K Fifa coming out every opportunity you get, even start a channel maybe "Nick2k" or something and establish yourself as a main influencer for that game, coz even if it is as pay2win, I think EA have broken the game so much that trying to fix it will cost too much, and we all know that most of the game is copy+paste, so what we really need is a completely fresh Soccer game.

This happens because the Gameplay Producers (the term the devs call themselves within EA Sports) only made the game with no regards to online gameplay whatsoever since forever. These are the ones responsible and they've been ignoring how their creation behaved in online environments. Sup Nick, I do feel what you are saying. From my point of view I was never a FIFA Gameplay guy, back before I wasn’t a content creator I would max play 2 WL a year and it would be during TOTS. Your market watch content made me be a content creator (thanks for that) and I started to “like” the gameplay a little more between FIFA 20-22, but lately the constant horrible gameplay we have gotten it’s just disappointing, literally to the point that I gave up streaming and now I just concentrate on my main football channel and the second with market watch videos, I rather stream once a week FIFA with casinos than 4-5 a week and having to play the game, it was hurting me mentally, I wasn’t having fun and neither viewers have fun when us content creators show disappointment with what we are playing.
Hi Nick, i love your content and enjoy watching your videos. I got back to FIFA since a year and a half now and i tried my best to improve my skill level while playing. I have no shame saying that i was a 10/11 win player in champs in FIFA 23. In FC 24 i got better, i improved by watching videos and playing consistently (got a better connection as well) and i was getting consistent elite division in rivals and 14 to 18 wins every WL since January. This year i feel i got better, that my skills are improved again, but the funny thing is that i have worse results overall. I’m in elite div on xbox (804 skill rating atm) but i got maximum 12 wins in WL (11 average) this year with a quite good team (not crazy one). If last year i felt like i was loosing 2/3 of the games against better people, this year in champs i feel like im loosing 2/3 against worse people. Every game is sweaty cause of the deleay, every animations happens 1 second later than normal (you see this clearly on ballrolls for example). Some games i feel like im playing elite squad battles cause the AI is taking the ball 70% of the time and 30% of the time the player against me. After the last patch the game got a lot worse because they patched the speed boost (almost only thing to go past a defender), they said that they patched trivelas (luckly they didnt cause they are exatctly the same if you green time the shots) but the defensive AI got a lot better than pre patch. They probably nerfed a little bit 5 at the back but look at the 4 at the back now: they play super narrow, you cannot get through them, the speed is non existent (the defender is always faster) and when they spam the standing tackle not taking the ball, they never get punished cause the defender immediately recovers balance and teleports in front of you. And last but not least, if you somehow get past 3 defenders, there’s a fuorth recovering at 120mph and the keeper getting out like he is trying to murder you. Good job EA🤝🏽
I'm a casual player, but I've been playing fifa my entire life, and ultimate team since fifa 14, I usually sit around div 3 and I might play about 10 weekend leagues in an entire game cycle and I don't usually do too well but I typically win more than I lose (even on this years trash edition) so like I said pretty casual player but I also like to think I'm half decent at the game. With that being said this year's release is actually disgusting. I play this game to have a fun football experience, and it is simply just not available in FC25. Of course every year I say to myself that the newest fifa wasn't worth the price tag like the majority of the community does, but I usually justify it to myself with the understanding that I'm at least having fun, however this is the first year I've legitimately regretting purchasing the game as a whole, as someone who has bought the game every year since 2014 I feel betrayed by these con artists at ea and this dumpster fire of a product. So yeah maybe you and players like myself are crying about this game, I honestly don't see anything wrong with it, I think we reserve the right to cry about it, what would you do if someone took something you loved and completely ruined it and then tried to give it back to you like nothing ever happened. I am crying about this game because frankly I miss the fun I used to have on fifa, and sure some of that can be attributed purely to nostalgia, but like you said, there's a clear lack of a genuine football experience in this game. I miss when I could hop on fifa and pass the ball around, maybe create a few nice chances and just enjoy the game, win or lose. Honestly, I'll never forgive ea for what they took from us. RIP Fifa, you will be sorely missed.
My motivation for playing has vanished. Never gonna qualify for Champs, SBs which was chill is now a sweat fest, rivals is a time sink. RUSH didn’t even count objectives.

HOW TO FIX FIFA!! We need less talking/rambling and more scientific, controlled experiments with clip analysis and comparison in a way that can be understood visually. For example, Escape from Tarkov had a deep hacking issue for many years but it stayed as a fringe conspiracy UNTIL "The Tarkov Wiggle" video was made and it could not be denied and it became mainstream OVERNIGHT. THIS is what you need to do. Work with InceptionXX and other youtubers that are in the same mind-frame to do a deep dive into clearly showing the good and bad gameplay in a way that is clear to see and hard to deny and if it is compelling enough, it will blow up, go viral and cause a ripple in the community and could be the beginning of the FIX we all want. Keep up the dedication. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated, BUT it needs to be stepped up now. EA clearly do not care or listen so you need to make them listen. Love ya Nick
There is a huge difference in those games. EA is in no need to change anything since they are making literal BILLIONS year after year via Fifa Points. Only if gamblin (transactions, loot boxes, etc) in games is getting banned they need to fix anything. Why should they alter a system that works that well?
You are spot on Nick. 2 Fifa's ago my buddy and I WON Div 1 in Pro Clubs and now we cannot even get out of Div 2 (Tier 3) because the game is designed to help bad players who are rats and good, creative football is not rewarded. EA get worse every single year and all the bells and whistles they throw on is just lipstick on a pig. Player instructions had more options than player roles has, you used to be able to set your defensive width and there are more examples throughout the game that have made the game even worse than last year, and that's really saying something. Calling for the ball from an AI player is not instant like it should be, instead they will take another touch, or turn the wrong way, or try to pass with their weak fooy even after you have gone to the trouble to put the correct strong foot for the position in the club customization itself RM (Right Footed for example). The animations are stupid slow and how a LW build Striker with 99 pace can be caught by opposition AI time after time when clean through is beyond ridiculous. Thank you for the video, so many of us feel your frustrations. I have played this game since the very first edition way back in the early 90s and the game was so fun for such a long time. Now it's a total chore and extremely irritating to play. Games should be designed so that good players excel and no matter what your skill level, you have fun. Not this franchise, it's all about taking your money for them.
i play on PC since Fifa 20 and getting the "same" version like consoles back on Fifa 22 or 23 i guess was a blessing. the only bullsh*t thats still left to fix is to merge the transfer market. PC market is sometimes so bad compared to console, i am not able to buy a Shadow Chemstyle for nearly a week now and some players like for example TOTW Hansen cost about 1mil more than on console.... But those things aside FC25 is now even unplayable on PC for me since wednesday, i don't know what they did, but all my online matches are so unresponsive slow and totally random on player collisions (they backflip and fall down so often and hillarious). My Mbappe couldn't outrun a single defender of my opponents the whole last days (even if i'm through with him, the CB's catch him 2-3meters afterwards)..... and he was the best card I've ever used until tuesday. played through all my champs games today and made a squad battles game on "legend" afterwards, complete different game it's crazy. everything works, gameplay is smooth, fast, direct and my players can run and defend without falling down. also no fault on my connection, all other online games are totally fine and my PC runs it effortless with a RTX 4090 and 7800x3d zen cpu.
If you can run other games fine but not fc 25 it’s on their end. Their optimization is completely trash. Not giving us the freedom to change priority in task manager is a big rookie mistake IMO and only makes me want to buy it during a fat sale.

I'm 42 years old now so due to life, kids ect, Ican't devote as much time to career mode but i play PRO clubs every evening with friends i rarely see in person. it was about the camaraderie of playing as a team, having fun and enjoying playing football (UK) with mates. Now due to the state we all find the FC games in, our group has dropped from 7-10 players to usually 2, maybe 4 on a good night. some of these players have quit because they refuse to spend the money on a lazily programmed copy and paste, game.but two have actually stopped because they found the game was effecting their mental health. we are PS5 players these days and you are correct it is no longer fun, its random chaos for the most part and although I'm aware there has always been a META. It is so easy and obvious to take advantage of these days, it has become boring, predictable, at times insufferable. EA are a toxic company who harness everything that provokes frustration and hatred towards your opponent, you rarely come across a player who says "that was a good game, really close," or "I enjoyed playing them it was a good challenge!" The reason? because usually the game itself usually finds a way to artificially f*@k you out of being rewarded for playing good football. and instead concentrates on finding new ways to rape your wallet. I really, sincerely, pray for a good alternative so the old team can return. EA you are not just desecrating a franchise. you are breaking up teams of friends and I believe tarnishing our beautiful game with your sh*t coated paint brush! F*CK YOU EA.... REALLY! F*CK YOU IN THE NECK! The last REALLY "good" edition of this was FIFA 18, but it has been declining steadily since PRO EVO collapsed. it is a slap dash mess of a game and EA as a company should be embarrassed beyond pissing themselves in public wearing white trousers! FC 24 and 25 are the same game made intolerable in slightly different ways. so in summary F*ck you EA, F*ck you very much.
I'm actually a long term FM player since the CM days, and I've now quit that series due to the direction it has now gone in, without going into details here. So from that I've given EA FC a try for the first time ever (Play on PC), and I was actually initially quite surprised at a number of comments slating the game. Taking out the costs, there is so much to do and many modes, plus the graphics in comparison are a huge step up. And it was the role tactical system that drew me in to give it a try (which I absolutely love) But being a complete noobie and novice at hands on controller football gaming, I worked up the confidence to give FUT online a try today. And well, I am already starting to see why there is a lot of frustration. I could be wrong for the above, but I do think the nature of online gaming in EA FC makes it difficult to not get frustrated with the game, especially if you're a long term player. My gripe? Well came up against a hacker. Worked my 4$$ off to get a 3-1 lead, and I'm only in Division 9 where all the other less skilled casuals play.... to then find out my opponent just quit the game, where I got the message EA were reviewing the match. Consequently, I got no points, no win registered, and now if this is even an issue at Division 9 level, then I'm not sure what the point is of me creating an FUT team that I want to enjoy the game with, simply kos I'm gona be playing a bunch of cheats online. I can't imagine the issues one faces at higher levels. Like honestly, how can someone hack vs a noob? lol This extends to the lag, PC optimisation and gameplay as well, of which I guess I'm quite fortunate to have only played a FIFA first time in this year's game, as I guess my tolerance to the annoyances already aren't so extreme to someone long term. But at the moment I'm now struggling to see the point of me playing the mode, as I can't even enjoy FUT in the lower divisions. Career mode seems to be my best option, as at least I can adjust settings for enjoyable gameplay and not get screwed over by a hacker who can't even beat an ultra noob. But I think the game, for a casual offline, it's not a bad game at all to play. Just a shame that online, at least for me, the scene isn't a nice one to enjoy the game in, with addition to the typical issues one would experience with lag, and match engine balancing to create a fair game, that also requires skill to triumph.
@@Ishankk it is when it says the game is "reviewing the match score", and then it exits the game with me not getting any points nor registering a victory. Usually it gives u coins, points and a win when you are winning and a player leaves right?
@@MrM2309-w3w not a hacker, if he was hacking he would be winning. They aren’t beatable and are quite rare. Also in many cases they might not give the win in a dc, it’s not as flawless as you imagine.

He probably just unplugged his internet then if that's the case. But surely that should not punish the player currently winning the match?

So glad you made this video. Ever since the patch I get even more delay and lag in game. I play on xbox series x , I have good wifi, i only pick matches that are below 20 ping and only 5 green bar connections yet in game theres so much input delay and lag yet in every other game i dont experience bad connections ever. The game in general is just so unenjoyable as I been saying in the comments last few weeks. Nobody wants to play a football game centred around defending and so ai influenced. Scoring is way too difficult and gk movement is an absolute disgrace. The thing we all got excited for was the updated reward system. I've gotten 10 wins in nearly every champs so far and I havent gotten any promo cards , any useable hero card and no care worth anything more than its rating is worth. Whats the incentive to keep playing when we dont even get rewarded for our rank in the most competitive and worst gameplay of any fifa/fc cycle?. The community is the biggest issue as enough people simply dont care enough to try push for change. Anyone who complains people just reply with "skill issue" or somehow justify the state of the game. Hypermotion is the worst thing thats happened to the game
I agree with most of what you said, but as a PC guy, you need around €1,000 to run this game smoothly. Spending €3,000 is just overkill-you bought a €3,000 PC because it’s your job. Don’t gaslight people into thinking they have to spend that much for a good PC . Especially for eafc which is not a very heavy performance game compare to other games .
After ditching this game years ago, it's always hilarious seeing the "Why FIFA X is Unplayable" videos get posted earlier and earlier in the games life cycle. FIFA/EA FC players have literally no idea how bad they've got it since a lot of them don't play much else. It is straight up criminal how the player base of this game is treated, but the community is so isolated away form the general gaming space that no one really draws attention to how exploitative EA really are with this franchise. People (including myself) can rag on gacha games like Genshin Impact as much as they want. FIFA is the most predatory gacha game out there. It's literally a casino that targets children.

My last fifa was fifa 23 on PC and it was definitely one of the best FIFA I've played (been playing fifa on PC since fifa 12!).Me and my twin brother use to go elite division(top 200-600) all the time and enjoy the game for what it was. This year was our first year getting fifa on console since we recently got a PS5 and OMG I can't believe that this game was actually built as a finished product. I am pretty sure EA has testers that plays this game right??? how the f*ck did they not see how horrible the game was. It's so obvious that EA is shifting the direction of this game towards one that solely just generates blind revenues from their stupid gambling mechanics. Like even the FUT menu is the same old shit running on 30 fps( for the last 10 years!!). It is so sluggish that the game have crashed multiple times on a PS5, yep that's right a f*cking sports game crashing while navigating the menu on a PS5. The amount of special cards that are being released every week are so stupid which makes the game bloated AF. Like what is the point of grinding or getting decent cards when there are bezillion "pay to win" insane cards that cost millions coming out every week. Not to mention that even though the reward system is "higher" this year but its still being controlled where its just a scam at this point. It doesn't matter if you're in the highest division or have won many champions, the cards you get from packs are just so unrewarding that you feel there is no point in winning all these games. There are just to many downside to this game which I am just going to list down below in point form : 1) Defenders are overpowered. They just can push and ram into anyone from anywhere and not getting penalized while being able to recover like a mad dog. 2) Defensive AI is so stupid that there is no space in attacking at all. Direct passes from first half to another half of the field is broken. 3) Menu/Marketplace and the whole game is sluggish AF. A menu being set at 20-30 fps in 2024 on next gen is insane!!!! even the transfer market has so much of update delay that I can't win any bids/cheap buy now due to wrong/old info displayed. 4) Rebounds are just unbelievable. Even when I am intercepting as a defender at most times, my opponent always wins ball in the most stupidest way. Rebound direction after a shot is 80%> intended to reach to the opponent's player again rather than being based of in-game physics engine. 5) Headers are broken in corners (for players that knows how to use it). It's just impossible to defend an opponent from scoring a header from a corner unless you pull your keeper out at the right position(even with the best defenders). 6) Success rate of direct passes while facing the right way are like dice rolls. But when the angle of a body is facing away or opposite its always accurate....like what??? 7) Finesse shots are so broken with players that have the "finesse shot+" gold playstyle. Like most of the players in higher Division Rivals just abuse the shit out of this from insane distance and little space/movement while not being able to make one proper attack inside the box for the whole bloody game. 8) No actual penalty for players who quits the game intentionally while drawing to steal our win(due to red card/ penalty / whatever other reason there is). Like the amount of players that have purposely disconnected while I was suppose to lead the game via a penalty or play againts a 10 man is just to many now. It kills the mood so bad especially when you its so sooo hard to get a fair win in competitive mode. 9) Unregistered actions. They were many occasions where my high through ball didn't get registered when I clearly held L1 + 🔺. 10) Last but not least is the game's SCRIPTING. All of us know that fifa always had this years back but OMG this year they just don''t care about hiding it anymore. The whole momentum of the game shifts if you're leading most times and especially after the 70-80 mins mark of match time. Every player and the keeper just acts stupid/paralysed till the opponent scores a goal. Finally like you said @NickRTFM, I too use to enjoy the game and play it for fun even in competitive but now its just a chore to finish games and die trying to win a proper fair game in Rivals/Champions due to fact that its largely based on luck and not skills(I'm stuck in Div 2 for the past 3 weeks btw 🥲). Hey Nick. I'm not sure if you will read this comment or not, but if you do I just wanna say thanks for your uploads especially these ones. I'm a 32 year old with a wife and 2 kids and I was an OG FIFA player. I started with FIFA 2006 World Cup then got FIFA 07, and every FIFA game after that up until 23. Even in 23 I already started not playing as much but like you have been saying after about 19 it's gotten so much worse. Every year it's the same story, everyone sees and says "this is the worst Fifa to date". And what does that mean? Next year will be even worse then this one. As mentioned in other videos, EA dosnt need to make a better game yet because there is no competition. They will rack in the big bucks no matter what. I haven't played FUT for years because I dont have much time due to life but in recent years of me playing I'd site down on a weekend night and play either online seasons or career mode, which is literally a copy and paste from the previous years. There's honestly no point in even buying the game, you can play the same game from years back to have the same experience or just wait for it to be a free download in th spring time if you want the updated squads. Anyways as you said in a video not long ago, I agree that we are all waiting for FIFA 2K to come out, I hope they take Their time to make it and release an amazing football gaming experience, I will most likely get that game even though I don't have all the time in the world but to be a very casual player I'm hoping it will be refreshing and fun, and at the same time give EA a run for their money to wake up and change their ways. I bought every fifa game since fifa 99 and FC25 is the first game I haven’t bought and I don’t even miss it. Seeing these types of videos both makes me happy that I didn’t buy it but also sad because it has been a big part of my life, as I suspect is the same with a lot of people here. In the best days of FIFA it was about who was better at the game by playing with a style that suited them and with players that supported that playstyle. Now it’s all about abusing certain mechanics and formations otherwise you don’t stand a chance. I got sick of it in FC24 and I honestly don’t know when I will buy my next FIFA game.
The AI in old gen is not that overpowered. I understand from your point of view that streaming the old gen game would not be good for views maybe. But I would recommend you to try it at least. Its not perfect obviously, but in my opinion you have more space to play and you actually have to switch your players for them to move around.

For me rivals is a lot worse than WL, Winning 15 games in Elite Division with sweats in almost every game pressing you like they do it for a living compared to playing against different skill level players in way better gameplay (at night of course because I cannot stand the gameplay during day time). In Fut champs you need to play only up to 15 games and you get better rewards than rivals, In Elite Division rivals you need to play like 20-25 games at least to get 15 wins. Personally speaking I think it's better to give up on playing rivals - worse rewards, worse servers, required playing more than 15 games because surely you will not win 15 games in a row - let's be real.
EAFC25 finally break my addition playing this game .. I am not playing like 3 month now, I completely stop it, I start playing since Fifa23, I got hooked, I got bad addiction , I keep playing all day long, I'm not realize how much money I put on this game, like thousand of dollar! I completely stop at FC25, I am playing other game now, my life abit improve man, I kind of appreciate my time now, Thank you EA for making EAFC25 and make it leave it forever (hopefully)
The most accurate point you mention is the bad optimisation for console, and the crazy thing about it that they done nothing about it, I guess people are robot and wont complain about such an obvious feeling, not to mention EA that would never notice such a thing because they from another world, totally not connected...
Typically I have stuck with SB’s, just because I don’t have time to dedicate in playing online. This year it’s virtually unplayable on PS5. This is the first year that I will struggle with an 85+ rated team against a 65 rated on World Class.. every other year I’m getting 7+-nil easily. Now I’m sweating to get 3.. even going against an 86+ on professional is beyond sweaty. And it has nothing to do with skill… this is all about the AI for defense and CPU keeper. I literally played a match that had a CAM as a keeper that stopped 8 shots (and I play with precision on).. my 89 Courtois with Sweeper Keeper had three shots and stopped none.. against a 58 ST.. Also the lack of human control teams AI help. Players don’t try to get open at all, and the defensive AI blocks all passing lanes. Then the amount of Off-sides due to delayed animations is absurd… which they said they fixed, but obviously didn’t. This is outside of the lack of menu grind… honestly I don’t know why I even play. Rush is only fun with friends.. with randos.. it’s bs. Edit: you’re right. This is not what I expected for the $100 I spent on it. The only way we’ll get back is if people stop buying FC points.. but those that do buy them don’t care as they are the reason this game is pay to win now..
Underrated comment. The game is so bad on console that even offline games are clunky, and literally have a delay/lag every 10-30 seconds. I was dumbfounded experiencing that for the first time.

Against lower rated teams (because EA nerfs the user team and boosts the cpu controlled) players feel like semi trucks tried to turn on a dime.. with a two second delay between the gas pedal and the motion.
Oh wanted to add: with SB the PC players are assholes.., and EA needs to figure this out. These PC players that are hacking SB’s is making it impossible for a console player to get Elite 1 or 2… and forget about top 200…. I haven’t missed Elite 2 in years, but now struggle to get to Gold 1 because of the horrible gameplay and the fact EA allow for the PC hacked scores to show on all leader boards for SB’s..

Fc24 was by far the worst memory I have of 2023-24 due to the terrible input lag, jammy goals, broken defending and random player malfunctions. I am so happy I didn't even think about purchasing any more eafc games. Just to give you a recap of my fc24 experience: First off goalies, Last year had one of the worst goalie balancing i have ever seen. It didn't matter what goalie you had or how high the rating was, they would play bad for you but be the best goalie for another player? like aren't the rating supposed to mean something??? My 92 yashin was so bad last year, he would spill the easiest saves, randomly attack my defenders or push the ball into the net while trying to claim it. I also had a problem with a stupid glitch most rats in fut champs would use which was controlling only their striker and pulling him slightly ahead of the 18 yard box so he could let the AI defending do the rest and this was broken because cbs with anticipate plus would instantly win the ball no matter what you did just because of the overpowered AI. You also can't forget the absurdly broken corner kick glitches which would guarantee goals no matter what you did to try to prevent it. I have so many more complaints but the biggest one had to be the terrible gameplay. I even tested it out by queuing a champs game then going back to rivals and there was a clear difference in server gameplay. Champs felt so slugglish and stale, for someone who plays on old gen, it felt like everyone's gameplay was just faster and more responsive than mine. It really feels like these clowns have never once stopped to try playing their game just to see how bad it truly is. You guys are no better since you will pre-order the game for 100 dollars encouraging them to put in less effort as long as the sales are booming. The best thing is to find a new hobby that doesn't involve helping this lazy company.

I’ve played every fifa and I’ll happily say FC25 is a joke, it’s unplayable as the A.i defence is untouchable in pro clubs. There faster, Stronger and can fail a tackle yet get straight back up and outrun you and tackle again with ease
FUT always took a toll on my mental health because of the frustration it can cause and the push into competitiveness to win to be able to get cool cards and to not feel you're missing out. It's years since I really had fun playing the game. I spend way too much money for a game I didn't had real fun with. But I wasn't able to break out of it for a long time. In FIFA 23 I drove down the amount I spend on FIFA Points. At the beginning of FC 24 I finally stopped buying FC Points at all. After TOTS in FC 24 I stopped playing the game entirely. Normally I play until a week before the new cycle. My mental health got way better during the time off from the game. I decided to come back for FC 25 because I really like football and the idea of UT because I like collecting cards. But I wanted to return with the decision to not buy FC Points and to go about it with a way healthier approach of how I play and how much. It took 2 weeks and I realized my mental health was declining extremely again because of the frustration with the game and how much I play to get the wins for rivals for example. Fortunately I didn't start buying Points again, but I didn't feel good. So I de-installed. And I am still out without planning to come back unless a lot about the game changes. I am feeling way better again now. Playing FM24 now and it gives me the football kick I need, but without the stress.
It's definitely the weirdest year to play I wouldn't say the worst because somehow I have way more fun playing this game than I had in FC 24. One of my main problems is that I would rather play against 15 very good and skilled players than against 15 bots even tho I'd lose a few games more. The worst games are those against players that have no actual skill but try to use every broken bs mechanic available to them to somehow get a result in games that on paper, they would never stand a chance. I hear people saying that all the casuals are gone, which might be true in some cases but the casuals in this game are the ones with 5 back, 100 depth, speed boost spam, corner glitching etc. A player that is good enough and has half a brain doesn't need to break the game to be successful except he plays on pro level which is a different topic. This is EAs fault for formating their modes that way and centering everything around packs and rewards but I would put at least a part of the blame on the community.
EA purposely design a game where Stevie wonder could get success at. Because it's all about profits. 90% of EA playerbase are noobs or just casuals. So EA created a meta where everyone can can get success. Hence no skillgap at all anything that would create a skill gap is massively nerfed or useless in gameplay because you get punished for logical ways of playing which requires braincells. This game rewards spam tackling and being a noob or casual is way more rewarding than being good.

Yeah but I blame EA way more than the player base. It’s like 90/10 in favor of EA’s (fault). I just played a guy who spammed LB+Y to his big striker all game. I cut it out every time except once when my player switching failed. This is on SEASONS lol not even FUT. That’s how crazy these sweats are. I scored 2 goals from nice GROUND passing plays so I was up 2-1. Anywho, I passed around the back for the last 18 game minutes to teach this sweat bag a lesson. He messaged me with some drivel about me playing like a girl scared. Wild because I abused this dude in shots, possession and overall style of play while he spammed the same 💩 all day. Still I blame EA. Garbage players like this wouldn’t have a chance to win in older FIFAs. Not a chance. This past decade’s games have literally been made for these types of people. FIFA 12 was the game where people bitched about LB+Y but those plays were easy to cut out back then. Easier than they are now because there are so many other exploits to have to watch for. FIFA 12 only had that one.
I have to say, that TH-camrs may be the primary reason FIFA is still popular (though consumers play a big role as well). I don't understand it; if any other video game genre were doing what EA has done, do you think it would still be around? FIFA 24 is available on Game Pass 😂, but I’ve only played the tournament league and that's it. I have little desire to play the inferior version of Football Manager and open packs like I'm addicted to them. If the game were free, it would likely be even more broken. Games like Sega Worldwide Soccer, Striker, and Sensible Soccer can’t exist anymore because players want real-world licenses. In my opinion, the best FIFA I ever played was FIFA 14, and even that was still disappointing.

Unsurprisingly old gen is also shit,Most of the goals i concede are a result of my defenders not tracking back,I've tried multiple things to try and fix it,Changed my tactics,Lowered and increased the defensive depth,Changed my defensive playstyle multiple times,Changed my players,Changed to a formation with 2 dms,Nothing worked. Passes dont go where they're supposed to, Weird animations sometimes happening out of nowhere especially for the keepers. I usually just buy the game, watch a few rage videos, and get angry when I get screwed over by the game. This year has been horrible, players look beyond goofy. Now I literally can't play, it doesn't let me load any of my saves. I only play for career mode.
last fifa i was a 14-16 win player. enjoyed the game at certain points but was mainly annoyed by the mortal combat animations. This year my first champs I went 11-4 which I was happy with, the worst part was they were all 1 goal games and i felt that i could've have gone 15-0 if a couple bounces had gone my way. I am nowhere near good enough to get rank 1 or 2 i am a rank 3-4 player. this week(my second week of champs) I went 8-7 losing 5-6 games by 1 goal which happen due to some bullshit, no one's record should change by that much, I haven't gotten rank 6 since fifa 22, I hate this excuse of a game with a passion.
Weekend League has become unplayable to me. As soon as I am 1 or 2 goals my defenders just stop defending, my passes stop connecting and my strikers dont make runs which always causes me losses. In addition to that there is barely any match in which there is no goal in the 90th or 120th minute.
I’m in elite, get 13 wins pretty comfy every week and haven’t spent a penny. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed input delay on Xbox, there’s the odd bit of RNG with tackles and such but that’s expected with fifa. I’d love to try the PC experience to see if it’s truly that much better and I’ve just been blinded by only knowing console gameplay.

So FC24 was pretty much my first FIFA which wasnt a demo and I decided to give it a shot since my friends loved FIFA and all so i thought why not buy it and got into Ultimate Team which got me addicted initially and by the time Toty dropped i reached elite division but as someone who had not played online fifa ever as a random casual i started noticing alot of bugs in the game like players not running fast or just random bounces which led me to conceding so many goals out of nowhere. But then in kickoff I noticed that everything is smooth and nothings too weird so at some point I did get frustrated by the game. I started watching nick alot and then realized everyone has the same issues including all the kick off glitches OP depth tactics and 5 at the back etc which honestly made me feel better since i thought i was crazy. Then i bought fc25 and holyshit all the issues i had with the game are like multiplied by 4 in this game, so many random bounces and players just leaving the ball, 96 PACE ATTACKER DOESNT OUTRUN A 72 PACE DEFENDER EVER. The breakaways are nonexistent and I realized it's just the same players getting the same new cards with the same ratings. The last fifa i played was 15(demo) and i remember how it felt like I was playing football not some cutback simulator, stg the state of this game is horrible rn. And yes the pc one is much better but again it had some games where the players felt like their nucksacks weigh around a ton so weird.
I started playing Fifa with Fifa 12 and had been playing every year consistently for a decade up until Fifa 22, gave Fifa 23 a few months when it was on sale but only really played draft there. The direction the game has gone is so sad because all i see now is EA basically taking off the mask that they care about gameplay which has been blatantly false for years, the almost entire focus now from EA is packs and fifa points to try and turn it into a card collectors game. Having gameplay be consistently terrible for years with overpowered tactics and flatout refusing to change it to the benefit of players as it doesnt affect their bottom line is really what turned me off the game. This alongside the server issues (not really a problem to me as im Irish but for NA its a big issue i know) just made it impossible for me to enjoy actually playing the game and seeing this video really highlighted that to me
Nah I don’t care what anyone says. Thank you Pic for being real Asf about this game. Plenty streamers lie for their money and that’s understandable but just because we moan, don’t mean we don’t appreciate what EA has brought before this. It’s just real to point out when the same product that we enjoyed has parts that have changed for the worse. I think EA have tried to hard to accommodate newbies, those instant gratification people that can’t go through the graft to learn the game. There is no skill gap just feels like EA tries to make it fair by using lag and rebounds. I’m sick of my team stringing together moves for no reward to see a two pass move result in a goal from there rebounds.

I've played this for years, and this year, it's joyless because its so hard to break teams down and the input lag...sometimes its so bad that the commands just never register. At first i thought my controller was broken, swapped it, still exactly the same. Month in and as much as I dont want to quit, im not sure there is any choice.
100% agree with you Nick, but I would challenge you, and others, to stop referring to “the current direction of FIFA”, and emphasis more that this isn’t just the current, it’s the past 5 years! Every year, creators are like, “I can’t believe the level of greed by EA this year!” Or, “Micro transactions are ruing the game!” The sooner that people stop empathizing and making excuses, money will become a factor for EA and they may actually have to begin trying.
I've played every FIFA since fifa96, I'm a fut founder and every year they add help to the new players. They close the skill gap by adding ridiculous ai help to keep new players playing. I remember smashing teams with brazilvers squads and having fun now it's literally who spends the most but also who gets the luck. I get 9/11 wins in champs but lose to guys who are just terrible and probably finish on 5 wins because EA need them to keep playing but more importantly keep buying packs. I genuinely believe they spend more time researching betting algorithms than genuine gameplay improvements.

Here are my thoughts on this game:
Animations - animations are one of probably 3 mains issues with this shit. The game cannot pick an animation quick enough for your command. When it does select an animation, prepare for your opponents players to be tackling you after you’re 1-2 yards AHEAD of them.
Passing - hilariously illogical. Facing the right way? Pass doesn’t work. Facing the complete opposite direction, perfect accuracy. Through balls of every variety are broken. You have to overcompensate the game screwing you to not get punished.
Shooting - powershots are the only good shooting mechanic. First timing them from anywhere shouldn’t be a thing though.
Defending - another major issue. Doesn’t matter if it’s manual or AI, the skill gap is on the floor. Everyone knows the state of defensive AI but manual tackling is illogical. Your opponent can press tackle 5 times, miss the ball and still be next to you. There’s no punishment in tackling or positioning when it comes to any type of defending. Even the fact you can sprint into to people without thinking and take the ball is so painful.
Dribbling - Again I go back to animations. You cannot move properly 95% of the time. Should you be able to spin round in a circle perfectly? No. Should logical dribbling and skill moves work though? Yes.
Pace - it’s a real life attribute and that’s that. The way to adapt to quick players is defend deeper, use quicker players or position yourself properly (provided that’s rewarded).
I could go on but I’ll end it here you get the point. If you find this fun to play then I’m happy for you but it’s not for me anymore.

Gameplay is terrible. The bounce backs, the momentum when winning and all the glitches in between make the game so unenjoyable. You could be a much better player 3-1 up in the last 5 minutes and the momentum shift will cause you to lose. Very little skill gaps and even the content especially the evo situation is a disgrace.

I have been playing Fifa since Fifa World Cup 98 (yes I am bit of a older player) .
But what EA have been doing the last few years I personally argue since 20 has been downright criminal.
The Point of no return happend for me in EA FC 25 what an absolute trash game in every single possible way.
Before anyone comes with "git gud" or anything like that I have been always an elite Player that hit multiple rank 1s in the last few years.

My problems with EA Fc 25:
- general performance issues
- insane momentum switches which makes you loose to players worse than you even when you are 2 goals up
- terrible defending AI... if the game wants you to loose your defenders just run away from the striker and your whole defense is beaten with a single press of triangle
- the tacklings are awful, sometimes I tackle the player with the ball three times and still dont get posession
- The goalkeeping is worse than ever, they make insane saves from a 10 meter distance but concede a 30 meters screamer a minute later
- 90th minute goals every second match
- The passing is simply unbearable because my players are straight up passing to a different player I am not aiming at
- The rebounds make no sense and always bounce to the player ea favours
- Rivals matches dont count sometimes
- Rush challenges dont count sometimes
- The pace of the individual players is meaningless as even the slowest defenders keep catching up to my strikers
- If ea wants you to win your players start making good runs which lead to easy goals, however as soon as you are a few goals up it seems impossible to get through the opponents defense
- corner kicks are impossible to defend, especially if the opponent has a player like Van Dijk. You simply cannot stop him from making a header
- random game crashes
- goals just dont feel satisfying like they used to
- kickoff glitches are still a thing
- New cheat in which you are unable to sprint
- Dimarco is insane for some reason
- switching players while defending is inaccurate and makes manual defending way harder
- unnecessary graphics in the first minutes of the game
- Sometimes I can tell after the first 10 minutes that I will loose this match

Not to mention the pack weight. You can't even accumulate fodder anymore unless you get rank 1 in WL every week, and 15 wins in elite rivals. I am in division 2 and get around 9 wins each week, play squad battles, complete all objectives and the season pass. I could barely complete a single icon pack, and that was the cheaper one that came out two weeks ago. And my best pull is gold VVD from a 75+ pick. Other than that I have to buy my entire team for WL because the SBCs are either trash or overpriced, and the players I pack are barely 84 fodder.
I just bought the game lol. This yr I'm def not buying any packs. I'm grinding and accepting all losses.
Biggest issue is they're still using Frostbite engine for every FIFA when its literally made for first person shooter games. Just so incredibly incompetent this company

The game is genuinely unplayable, the defender catch up speed when I'm through on net is unbelievable, the input delay on everything from passes to shots to tackles is horrible. The dribbling doesn't even exist. The finishing is awful even when timing the shots green, how is it that I'm more likely to score a trivela or finesse from 35 yards out than a green timed driven shot with 88 shooting rashford from 5 yards away. The keepers sexually harass my attackers at every turn whenever I have the rare opportunity to be through. The passes don't go where I aim them like half the time. I'm not even going to mention the rebounds, deflections, and bounce backs after tackling that happen all of the time. Every year it just gets more and more aids. I have no desire to play.
Sold my ps5 because of this game, it was the only game I enjoyed and I actually liked 24 a lot, but this passing, this amount of animations and the goalkeepers!!?? Not to mention defensive ai….

As an EA NHL content creator I feel the same way. I can understand EA canadians making a lackluster soccer game, but them even screwing up a hockey video game just shows the incompetence of EA Sports. NHL this year has alot of potential to be good but is just ruined by input delay and broken built-in mechanics such as “skill based one timers” and “the full pressure system” seems like fifa is the same way this year which really sucks man. You know what's funny Nick you made me realize how much better the responsivness on PC is when we play together in your RAT to glory on PC 2 years ago. I played on the USA server w/ 130 MS lol and still the game felt way more responsive than 30 MS servers on Ps5.
BTW you're right. The actual problem is Animations and 60fps / 60 hz Console gaming cant handle it.. My Gameplay is so much better on PC bc of 300 FPS on a 27'' AORUS QD OLED 0.03 ms Monitor w/ 4090 RTX but it's funny how much we need to invest into all this to make this game playable

hey man i just wanna say i think u really need a beefy pc to run this game.. because i played this game on my pc which has rtx 4060(i can run any games at highest settings with no problem) except this pile of garbage..like i genuinely cannot comprehend how my gpu having problems running this game.. btw i have the game both on ps5 and my pc.. I genuinely felt no differnece other than the hz of the monitor but my players feels sluggish on the ball, ai attack is non existent like they're standing like statues and not making proper runs like i have to player lock to them to get them running.. wthell is this new iq tactics... its genuinely soo jarring.. i have 100 more problems but thats just to mention some few..i have to turn the settings down to run this game like genuinely i cant believe...

I have never been so frustrated with a purchase I have ever made in my life. I play on pc and my gameplay is atrocious, like everyone else. I started with FIFA 10 and have played every year. This is one of the worst games I have ever played in my life not just talking sports game. The amount of times I tackle the ball and the opposing player still ends up with it or is able to jam their way through my whole team is mind blowing. Just when you think you might win, you end up losing because of the lopsided and mind blowing things that this game purposefully has programed into it. EA this is unacceptable and you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

The problem is that this is a business decision. They won't invest in a new engine because the Casino works perfectly fine on Frostbite. That's the only issue. They sold us "Roles ++" and that already existed in previous fifas. They just put on a skin on it and renamed it. And everyone thinks it's something new. Same with playstyles, they were called traits and they always were there.

I can’t lie man. I’ve watched a bunch of fifa TH-camrs over the years. Ones that support EAs actions ones that don’t appreciate them. Nick is the one that I have the most respect for because he always says the truth and speaks from the playerbase’s perspective. Keep doing what you do man. Hey Nick, I used to play Fifa 17 and 18 and watched all of your videos cuz I thought you had the best understanding of the transfer market out of anyone I had seen. Then I took a big break from Fifa and I just now finally got a PS5 and got FC 25 and looked up your channel only to see that you are approaching 1 mil subs! Just gotta say that I'm super glad that you've gotten the recognition you deserve because I remember you were working just as hard back when you had >10k subs. keep it up man!
As someone who’s been struggling w/ left stick over the past year, (not sure if this is common, but it really clicked last year then I would lose the “feel” of it and get it back over and over…very frustrating in and of itself) I’ve really noticed a much narrower skill gap. When I watch my matches back it’s amazing how much better I’m playing than 99% of opponents when I’m really feeling it and flying, but doesn’t add to getting results despite possession %, pass accuracy, chances created, etc. At the end of the day though, I’m a freaking competitor, love football, and piecing together unique squads of my dogs-mostly more obscure and lower rated players-in defiance of the meta. The difference this year, and I think Nick’s larger point, is the meta is fighting back quite a bit harder. The difference for me though is I take it all as a challenge, like it’ll just force me to go harder, spend some added time in the arena, watch my matches more carefully, and adjust accordingly to ultimately become a better player against any odds-FC Mamba for life💪🏾
I usually never comment in TH-cam, Twitch etc. but I really have to get this out of me. I am a relative new FIFA player, got into it in 2023 from a friend, FIFA 23 was an enjoyable learning year and a great start for me. I didn't really like FC 24 but I progressed to be Elite Division (since you couldn't demote) and 11/20 wins with the occasional 14 wins in TOTS and FUTTIES. Nowadays my mind is always preoccupied with the shit that I have felt and seen THIS FIFA. The biggest issue for me is that I don't enjoy winning, even by a margin of 5 goals. For anyone wondering I'm close to Div 1, 3 matches with x2 and 8-9/15 wins in Champions. My entire experience on console being rebounds, passes that don't register correctly, RNG decisions from players and delay just make winning and losing equally tilting. It doesn't even matter if I play a 4back instead of a 5back when I can't turn to give a pass in my midfield, and don't get me started with passing from GK to CBs and CBs to Midfielders with the AI pressure tactics. I cannot fathom what universe I'm living at to actually want to play this game, log on, play a Ping-Pong RNG sweat battle match and then log off from frustration. I do agree that the saving factor are the rewards, which have been really good for me at least. Watching your videos really makes me feel a lot better with what I'm experiencing every day and is probably one of the main reasons I continue playing this so please continue to help my sanity.

This video has given me the reassurance that most of the community feels like this, I have tried EVERYTHING to score I’ve changed formation tactics players and versions of fc because I’m going crazy trying to score and I just can’t, I’ve played this game for a decade and I play on ps5 and it’s the most unrealistic infuriating gaming experience I have ever had, I’m normally a rank 3-2 player and I can’t even get 9 wins this year half the time this year, it’s an appalling game and I’m borderline about to give up
Coming from someone who played from fifa 13 to fifa 23, this is exactly why I stopped playing this franchise last year. The first month is a honeymoon period. After the first month, EA releases their first patch, and the game reverts back to the previous year in terms of broken gameplay and server issues. FIFA 23 was probably the most fun I’ve had on a fifa when there was the lengthy meta at the very beginning. There are days where I miss it a ton, but these types of videos help me deal with the withdrawal away from the thing that was my getaway when I was at home because I know I’m better off.
Didn’t buy this years and i’m so glad. I got over my fifa addiction. Will never buy another fifa game because i don’t need it.

Its not servers, it's not gameplay, it's not connection. THE GOD DAMN GAME IS RIGGED. IT IS A RIGGED CASINO THAT HAS NO OVERSIGHT. They are criminals. The games are rigged to illicit an emotional response. That's why 90% of goals are scored in the 45th and 90th minute. Its to try and frustrate you to the very peak of it's ability. Happy players don't buy packs. Happy players don't gamble their coins and real money. EA between FC and Madden is a crime organization. EA continue to remove the skill gap to try and make every single match close, like you said, everyone is now "good" at the game. The AI Does 90% of the work from offsides traps to defensive coverage.
My biggest frustration right now with this game is how you can work so hard and long to score a good goal, only for your opponent to hit a 30 yard finesse shot with griezmann 1 minute later after you dominate the game
How to play FC25:
1. Begin by the Kick off glitch
2. Then Finesse or Powershot
3. You get a corner cause keepers can’t hold anything, now you have to use all the ratty corner tactics to score
The game has no reward for build up, finishing inside the box is non existent. Defense AI is juiced up to the max, all cards are dead because everyone wants to have “the best player” in each position because of how much pay to win this game is. The state of this game is just beyond fixing.

There have been probably 4-6 days when I have actually enjoyed playing it against high level opponents. That's crazy considering the game has been out for over a month. And like I've heard from a lot of people, in this game you can win and not enjoy the game. Gameplay is so inconsistent. One day your players move like prime tikitaka Barcelona and on another day they move like hungover 5 division beer leaguers after a 2 month drinking streak.
I also hate the new rivals system. 15 wins is too much for a dedicated player who works and has a family. Let alone if you are a casual who still wants to keep up with the game.

I mentioned that I took a break, and coming back I cannot believe how crazy it is that people are not using their own defenders, they jockey their CMs and let AI defend for them. Now, I still control my defenders, I prefer being in control, but I know that if I just didn't switch to them, they would defend better for me, coz that's what my opponents do.
Nah man, Nick, my advice to you, start talking about 2K Fifa coming out every opportunity you get, even start a channel maybe "Nick2k" or something and establish yourself as a main influencer for that game, coz even if it is as pay2win, I think EA have broken the game so much that trying to fix it will cost too much, and we all know that most of the game is copy+paste, so what we really need is a completely fresh Soccer game.

Sup Nick, I do feel what you are saying. From my point of view I was never a FIFA Gameplay guy, back before I wasn’t a content creator I would max play 2 WL a year and it would be during TOTS. Your market watch content made me be a content creator (thanks for that) and I started to “like” the gameplay a little more between FIFA 20-22, but lately the constant horrible gameplay we have gotten it’s just disappointing, literally to the point that I gave up streaming and now I just concentrate on my main football channel and the second with market watch videos, I rather stream once a week FIFA with casinos than 4-5 a week and having to play the game, it was hurting me mentally, I wasn’t having fun and neither viewers have fun when us content creators show disappointment with what we are playing.

I got back to FIFA since a year and a half now and i tried my best to improve my skill level while playing. I have no shame saying that i was a 10/11 win player in champs in FIFA 23. In FC 24 i got better, i improved by watching videos and playing consistently (got a better connection as well) and i was getting consistent elite division in rivals and 14 to 18 wins every WL since January.
This year i feel i got better, that my skills are improved again, but the funny thing is that i have worse results overall. I’m in elite div on xbox (804 skill rating atm) but i got maximum 12 wins in WL (11 average) this year with a quite good team (not crazy one).
If last year i felt like i was loosing 2/3 of the games against better people, this year in champs i feel like im loosing 2/3 against worse people. Every game is sweaty cause of the deleay, every animations happens 1 second later than normal (you see this clearly on ballrolls for example). Some games i feel like im playing elite squad battles cause the AI is taking the ball 70% of the time and 30% of the time the player against me.
After the last patch the game got a lot worse because they patched the speed boost (almost only thing to go past a defender), they said that they patched trivelas (luckly they didnt cause they are exatctly the same if you green time the shots) but the defensive AI got a lot better than pre patch. They probably nerfed a little bit 5 at the back but look at the 4 at the back now: they play super narrow, you cannot get through them, the speed is non existent (the defender is always faster) and when they spam the standing tackle not taking the ball, they never get punished cause the defender immediately recovers balance and teleports in front of you. And last but not least, if you somehow get past 3 defenders, there’s a fuorth recovering at 120mph and the keeper getting out like he is trying to murder you. Good job EA🤝🏽
I'm a casual player, but I've been playing fifa my entire life, and ultimate team since fifa 14, I usually sit around div 3 and I might play about 10 weekend leagues in an entire game cycle and I don't usually do too well but I typically win more than I lose (even on this years trash edition) so like I said pretty casual player but I also like to think I'm half decent at the game. With that being said this year's release is actually disgusting. I play this game to have a fun football experience, and it is simply just not available in FC25. Of course every year I say to myself that the newest fifa wasn't worth the price tag like the majority of the community does, but I usually justify it to myself with the understanding that I'm at least having fun, however this is the first year I've legitimately regretting purchasing the game as a whole, as someone who has bought the game every year since 2014 I feel betrayed by these con artists at ea and this dumpster fire of a product. So yeah maybe you and players like myself are crying about this game, I honestly don't see anything wrong with it, I think we reserve the right to cry about it, what would you do if someone took something you loved and completely ruined it and then tried to give it back to you like nothing ever happened. I am crying about this game because frankly I miss the fun I used to have on fifa, and sure some of that can be attributed purely to nostalgia, but like you said, there's a clear lack of a genuine football experience in this game. I miss when I could hop on fifa and pass the ball around, maybe create a few nice chances and just enjoy the game, win or lose. Honestly, I'll never forgive ea for what they took from us. We need less talking/rambling and more scientific, controlled experiments with clip analysis and comparison in a way that can be understood visually.
For example, Escape from Tarkov had a deep hacking issue for many years but it stayed as a fringe conspiracy UNTIL "The Tarkov Wiggle" video was made and it could not be denied and it became mainstream OVERNIGHT. THIS is what you need to do. Work with InceptionXX and other youtubers that are in the same mind-frame to do a deep dive into clearly showing the good and bad gameplay in a way that is clear to see and hard to deny and if it is compelling enough, it will blow up, go viral and cause a ripple in the community and could be the beginning of the FIX we all want.
Keep up the dedication. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated, BUT it needs to be stepped up now. EA clearly do not care or listen so you need to make them listen. Love ya Nick
There is a huge difference in those games. EA is in no need to change anything since they are making literal BILLIONS year after year via Fifa Points. Only if gamblin (transactions, loot boxes, etc) in games is getting banned they need to fix anything. Why should they alter a system that works that well?

You are spot on Nick. 2 Fifa's ago my buddy and I WON Div 1 in Pro Clubs and now we cannot even get out of Div 2 (Tier 3) because the game is designed to help bad players who are rats and good, creative football is not rewarded. EA get worse every single year and all the bells and whistles they throw on is just lipstick on a pig. Player instructions had more options than player roles has, you used to be able to set your defensive width and there are more examples throughout the game that have made the game even worse than last year, and that's really saying something.
Calling for the ball from an AI player is not instant like it should be, instead they will take another touch, or turn the wrong way, or try to pass with their weak fooy even after you have gone to the trouble to put the correct strong foot for the position in the club customization itself RM (Right Footed for example). The animations are stupid slow and how a LW build Striker with 99 pace can be caught by opposition AI time after time when clean through is beyond ridiculous.
Thank you for the video, so many of us feel your frustrations. I have played this game since the very first edition way back in the early 90s and the game was so fun for such a long time. Now it's a total chore and extremely irritating to play. Games should be designed so that good players excel and no matter what your skill level, you have fun. Not this franchise, it's all about taking your money for them.

i play on PC since Fifa 20 and getting the "same" version like consoles back on Fifa 22 or 23 i guess was a blessing.

PC market is sometimes so bad compared to console, i am not able to buy a Shadow Chemstyle for nearly a week now and some players like for example TOTW Hansen cost about 1mil more than on console....
But those things aside FC25 is now even unplayable on PC for me since wednesday, i don't know what they did, but all my online matches are so unresponsive slow and totally random on player collisions (they backflip and fall down so often and hillarious).
My Mbappe couldn't outrun a single defender of my opponents the whole last days (even if i'm through with him, the CB's catch him 2-3meters afterwards)..... and he was the best card I've ever used until tuesday.
played through all my champs games today and made a squad battles game on "legend" afterwards, complete different game it's crazy.
everything works, gameplay is smooth, fast, direct and my players can run and defend without falling down.
also no fault on my connection, all other online games are totally fine and my PC runs it effortless with a RTX 4090 and 7800x3d zen cpu.
If you can run other games fine but not fc 25 it’s on their end. Their optimization is completely trash. Not giving us the freedom to change priority in task manager is a big rookie mistake IMO and only makes me want to buy it during a fat sale.

i have been playing this game since FIFA international soccer, the first one! I'm 42 years old now so due to life, kids ect, Ican't devote as much time to career mode but i play PRO clubs every evening with friends i rarely see in person. it was about the camaraderie of playing as a team, having fun and enjoying playing football (UK) with mates. Now due to the state we all find the FC games in, our group has dropped from 7-10 players to usually 2, maybe 4 on a good night. some of these players have quit because they refuse to spend the money on a lazily programmed copy and paste, game.but two have actually stopped because they found the game was effecting their mental health. we are PS5 players these days and you are correct it is no longer fun, its random chaos for the most part and although I'm aware there has always been a META. It is so easy and obvious to take advantage of these days, it has become boring, predictable, at times insufferable. EA are a toxic company who harness everything that provokes frustration and hatred towards your opponent, you rarely come across a player who says "that was a good game, really close," or "I enjoyed playing them it was a good challenge!" The reason? because usually the game itself usually finds a way to artificially f*@k you out of being rewarded for playing good football. and instead concentrates on finding new ways to rape your wallet. I really, sincerely, pray for a good alternative so the old team can return. EA you are not just desecrating a franchise. you are breaking up teams of friends and I believe tarnishing our beautiful game with your sh*t coated paint brush! F*CK YOU EA.... REALLY! I'm actually a long term FM player since the CM days, and I've now quit that series due to the direction it has now gone in, without going into details here.
So from that I've given EA FC a try for the first time ever (Play on PC), and I was actually initially quite surprised at a number of comments slating the game. Taking out the costs, there is so much to do and many modes, plus the graphics in comparison are a huge step up. And it was the role tactical system that drew me in to give it a try (which I absolutely love)
But being a complete noobie and novice at hands on controller football gaming, I worked up the confidence to give FUT online a try today. And well, I am already starting to see why there is a lot of frustration. I could be wrong for the above, but I do think the nature of online gaming in EA FC makes it difficult to not get frustrated with the game, especially if you're a long term player.
My gripe? Well came up against a hacker. Worked my 4$$ off to get a 3-1 lead, and I'm only in Division 9 where all the other less skilled casuals play.... to then find out my opponent just quit the game, where I got the message EA were reviewing the match.
Consequently, I got no points, no win registered, and now if this is even an issue at Division 9 level, then I'm not sure what the point is of me creating an FUT team that I want to enjoy the game with, simply kos I'm gona be playing a bunch of cheats online. I can't imagine the issues one faces at higher levels. Like honestly, how can someone hack vs a noob? lol
This extends to the lag, PC optimisation and gameplay as well, of which I guess I'm quite fortunate to have only played a FIFA first time in this year's game, as I guess my tolerance to the annoyances already aren't so extreme to someone long term.
But at the moment I'm now struggling to see the point of me playing the mode, as I can't even enjoy FUT in the lower divisions.
Career mode seems to be my best option, as at least I can adjust settings for enjoyable gameplay and not get screwed over by a hacker who can't even beat an ultra noob. But I think the game, for a casual offline, it's not a bad game at all to play. Just a shame that online, at least for me, the scene isn't a nice one to enjoy the game in, with addition to the typical issues one would experience with lag, and match engine balancing to create a fair game, that also requires skill to triumph.

So glad you made this video. Ever since the patch I get even more delay and lag in game. I play on xbox series x , I have good wifi, i only pick matches that are below 20 ping and only 5 green bar connections yet in game theres so much input delay and lag yet in every other game i dont experience bad connections ever. The game in general is just so unenjoyable as I been saying in the comments last few weeks. Nobody wants to play a football game centred around defending and so ai influenced. Scoring is way too difficult and gk movement is an absolute disgrace. The thing we all got excited for was the updated reward system. I've gotten 10 wins in nearly every champs so far and I havent gotten any promo cards , any useable hero card and no care worth anything more than its rating is worth. Whats the incentive to keep playing when we dont even get rewarded for our rank in the most competitive and worst gameplay of any fifa/fc cycle?. The community is the biggest issue as enough people simply dont care enough to try push for change. Anyone who complains people just reply with "skill issue" or somehow justify the state of the game. Hypermotion is the worst thing thats happened to the game

I agree with most of what you said, but as a PC guy, you need around €1,000 to run this game smoothly. Spending €3,000 is just overkill-you bought a €3,000 PC because it’s your job. After ditching this game years ago, it's always hilarious seeing the "Why FIFA X is Unplayable" videos get posted earlier and earlier in the games life cycle. FIFA/EA FC players have literally no idea how bad they've got it since a lot of them don't play much else. It is straight up criminal how the player base of this game is treated, but the community is so isolated away form the general gaming space that no one really draws attention to how exploitative EA really are with this franchise.
People (including myself) can rag on gacha games like Genshin Impact as much as they want. FIFA is the most predatory gacha game out there. It's literally a casino that targets children.

My last fifa was fifa 23 on PC and it was definitely one of the best FIFA I've played (been playing fifa on PC since fifa 12!).Me and my twin brother use to go elite division(top 200-600) all the time and enjoy the game for what it was. This year was our first year getting fifa on console since we recently got a PS5 and OMG I can't believe that this game was actually built as a finished product. I am pretty sure EA has testers that plays this game right??? how the f*ck did they not see how horrible the game was. It's so obvious that EA is shifting the direction of this game towards one that solely just generates blind revenues from their stupid gambling mechanics. Like even the FUT menu is the same old shit running on 30 fps( for the last 10 years!!). It is so sluggish that the game have crashed multiple times on a PS5, yep that's right a f*cking sports game crashing while navigating the menu on a PS5. The amount of special cards that are being released every week are so stupid which makes the game bloated AF. Like what is the point of grinding or getting decent cards when there are bezillion "pay to win" insane cards that cost millions coming out every week. Not to mention that even though the reward system is "higher" this year but its still being controlled where its just a scam at this point. It doesn't matter if you're in the highest division or have won many champions, the cards you get from packs are just so unrewarding that you feel there is no point in winning all these games. There are just to many downside to this game which I am just going to list down below in point form :
1) Defenders are overpowered. They just can push and ram into anyone from anywhere and not getting penalized while being able to recover like a mad dog.
2) Defensive AI is so stupid that there is no space in attacking at all. Direct passes from first half to another half of the field is broken.
3) Menu/Marketplace and the whole game is sluggish AF. A menu being set at 20-30 fps in 2024 on next gen is insane!!!! even the transfer market has so much of update delay that I can't win any bids/cheap buy now due to wrong/old info displayed.
4) Rebounds are just unbelievable. Even when I am intercepting as a defender at most times, my opponent always wins ball in the most stupidest way. Rebound direction after a shot is 80%> intended to reach to the opponent's player again rather than being based of in-game physics engine.
5) Headers are broken in corners (for players that knows how to use it). It's just impossible to defend an opponent from scoring a header from a corner unless you pull your keeper out at the right position(even with the best defenders).
6) Success rate of direct passes while facing the right way are like dice rolls. But when the angle of a body is facing away or opposite its always accurate....like what???
7) Finesse shots are so broken with players that have the "finesse shot+" gold playstyle. Like most of the players in higher Division Rivals just abuse the shit out of this from insane distance and little space/movement while not being able to make one proper attack inside the box for the whole bloody game.
8) No actual penalty for players who quits the game intentionally while drawing to steal our win(due to red card/ penalty / whatever other reason there is). Like the amount of players that have purposely disconnected while I was suppose to lead the game via a penalty or play againts a 10 man is just to many now. It kills the mood so bad especially when you its so sooo hard to get a fair win in competitive mode.
9) Unregistered actions. They were many occasions where my high through ball didn't get registered when I clearly held L1 + 🔺.
10) Last but not least is the game's SCRIPTING. All of us know that fifa always had this years back but OMG this year they just don''t care about hiding it anymore. The whole momentum of the game shifts if you're leading most times and especially after the 70-80 mins mark of match time. Every player and the keeper just acts stupid/paralysed till the opponent scores a goal.
Finally like you said @NickRTFM, I too use to enjoy the game and play it for fun even in competitive but now its just a chore to finish games and die trying to win a proper fair game in Rivals/Champions due to fact that its largely based on luck and not skills(I'm stuck in Div 2 for the past 3 weeks btw 🥲).

Hey Nick. I'm not sure if you will read this comment or not, but if you do I just wanna say thanks for your uploads especially these ones. I'm a 32 year old with a wife and 2 kids and I was an OG FIFA player. I started with FIFA 2006 World Cup then got FIFA 07, and every FIFA game after that up until 23. Even in 23 I already started not playing as much but like you have been saying after about 19 it's gotten so much worse. Every year it's the same story, everyone sees and says "this is the worst Fifa to date". And what does that mean? Next year will be even worse then this one. As mentioned in other videos, EA dosnt need to make a better game yet because there is no competition. They will rack in the big bucks no matter what. I haven't played FUT for years because I dont have much time due to life but in recent years of me playing I'd site down on a weekend night and play either online seasons or career mode, which is literally a copy and paste from the previous years. There's honestly no point in even buying the game, you can play the same game from years back to have the same experience or just wait for it to be a free download in th spring time if you want the updated squads. Anyways as you said in a video not long ago, I agree that we are all waiting for FIFA 2K to come out, I hope they take Their time to make it and release an amazing football gaming experience, I will most likely get that game even though I don't have all the time in the world but to be a very casual player I'm hoping it will be refreshing and fun, and at the same time give EA a run for their money to wake up and change their ways. I bought every fifa game since fifa 99 and FC25 is the first game I haven’t bought and I don’t even miss it. Seeing these types of videos both makes me happy that I didn’t buy it but also sad because it has been a big part of my life, as I suspect is the same with a lot of people here.
In the best days of FIFA it was about who was better at the game by playing with a style that suited them and with players that supported that playstyle. Now it’s all about abusing certain mechanics and formations otherwise you don’t stand a chance. I got sick of it in FC24 and I honestly don’t know when I will buy my next FIFA game.

The AI in old gen is not that overpowered. I understand from your point of view that streaming the old gen game would not be good for views maybe. But I would recommend you to try it at least. Its not perfect obviously, but in my opinion you have more space to play and you actually have to switch your players for them to move around.
And also, imagine if every big content creator moved to old gen. I think that would force EA to improve the new gen game too

For me rivals is a lot worse than WL, Winning 15 games in Elite Division with sweats in almost every game pressing you like they do it for a living compared to playing against different skill level players in way better gameplay (at night of course because I cannot stand the gameplay during day time). In Fut champs you need to play only up to 15 games and you get better rewards than rivals, In Elite Division rivals you need to play like 20-25 games at least to get 15 wins. Personally speaking I think it's better to give up on playing rivals - worse rewards, worse servers, required playing more than 15 games because surely you will not win 15 games in a row - let's be real.
EAFC25 finally break my addition playing this game .. I am not playing like 3 month now, I completely stop it, I start playing since Fifa23, I got hooked, I got bad addiction , I keep playing all day long, I'm not realize how much money I put on this game, like thousand of dollar! I completely stop at FC25, I am playing other game now, my life abit improve man, I kind of appreciate my time now, Thank you EA for making EAFC25 and make it leave it forever (hopefully)

Typically I have stuck with SB’s, just because I don’t have time to dedicate in playing online.
This year it’s virtually unplayable on PS5. This is the first year that I will struggle with an 85+ rated team against a 65 rated on World Class.. every other year I’m getting 7+-nil easily. Now I’m sweating to get 3.. even going against an 86+ on professional is beyond sweaty. And it has nothing to do with skill… this is all about the AI for defense and CPU keeper. I literally played a match that had a CAM as a keeper that stopped 8 shots (and I play with precision on).. my 89 Courtois with Sweeper Keeper had three shots and stopped none.. against a 58 ST..
Also the lack of human control teams AI help. Players don’t try to get open at all, and the defensive AI blocks all passing lanes. Then the amount of Off-sides due to delayed animations is absurd… which they said they fixed, but obviously didn’t.
This is outside of the lack of menu grind… honestly I don’t know why I even play.
Rush is only fun with friends.. with randos.. it’s bs.

The only way we’ll get back is if people stop buying FC points.. but those that do buy them don’t care as they are the reason this game is pay to win now..
Underrated comment. The game is so bad on console that even offline games are clunky, and literally have a delay/lag every 10-30 seconds. I was dumbfounded experiencing that for the first time.

Against lower rated teams (because EA nerfs the user team and boosts the cpu controlled) players feel like semi trucks tried to turn on a dime.. with a two second delay between the gas pedal and the motion.
Oh wanted to add: with SB the PC players are assholes.., and EA needs to figure this out.
These PC players that are hacking SB’s is making it impossible for a console player to get Elite 1 or 2… and forget about top 200…. I haven’t missed Elite 2 in years, but now struggle to get to Gold 1 because of the horrible gameplay and the fact EA allow for the PC hacked scores to show on all leader boards for SB’s..

Fc24 was by far the worst memory I have of 2023-24 due to the terrible input lag, jammy goals, broken defending and random player malfunctions. I am so happy I didn't even think about purchasing any more eafc games. Just to give you a recap of my fc24 experience: First off goalies, Last year had one of the worst goalie balancing i have ever seen. It didn't matter what goalie you had or how high the rating was, they would play bad for you but be the best goalie for another player? like aren't the rating supposed to mean something??? My 92 yashin was so bad last year, he would spill the easiest saves, randomly attack my defenders or push the ball into the net while trying to claim it. I also had a problem with a stupid glitch most rats in fut champs would use which was controlling only their striker and pulling him slightly ahead of the 18 yard box so he could let the AI defending do the rest and this was broken because cbs with anticipate plus would instantly win the ball no matter what you did just because of the overpowered AI. You also can't forget the absurdly broken corner kick glitches which would guarantee goals no matter what you did to try to prevent it. I have so many more complaints but the biggest one had to be the terrible gameplay. I even tested it out by queuing a champs game then going back to rivals and there was a clear difference in server gameplay. Champs felt so slugglish and stale, for someone who plays on old gen, it felt like everyone's gameplay was just faster and more responsive than mine. It really feels like these clowns have never once stopped to try playing their game just to see how bad it truly is. You guys are no better since you will pre-order the game for 100 dollars encouraging them to put in less effort as long as the sales are booming. The best thing is to find a new hobby that doesn't involve helping this lazy company.

I’ve played every fifa and I’ll happily say FC25 is a joke, it’s unplayable as the A.i defence is untouchable in pro clubs. There faster, Stronger and can fail a tackle yet get straight back up and outrun you and tackle again with ease
FUT always took a toll on my mental health because of the frustration it can cause and the push into competitiveness to win to be able to get cool cards and to not feel you're missing out. It's years since I really had fun playing the game. I spend way too much money for a game I didn't had real fun with. But I wasn't able to break out of it for a long time. In FIFA 23 I drove down the amount I spend on FIFA Points. At the beginning of FC 24 I finally stopped buying FC Points at all. After TOTS in FC 24 I stopped playing the game entirely. Normally I play until a week before the new cycle. My mental health got way better during the time off from the game.
I decided to come back for FC 25 because I really like football and the idea of UT because I like collecting cards. But I wanted to return with the decision to not buy FC Points and to go about it with a way healthier approach of how I play and how much. It took 2 weeks and I realized my mental health was declining extremely again because of the frustration with the game and how much I play to get the wins for rivals for example. Fortunately I didn't start buying Points again, but I didn't feel good. So I de-installed. And I am still out without planning to come back unless a lot about the game changes. I am feeling way better again now. Playing FM24 now and it gives me the football kick I need, but without the stress.
It's definitely the weirdest year to play I wouldn't say the worst because somehow I have way more fun playing this game than I had in FC 24. One of my main problems is that I would rather play against 15 very good and skilled players than against 15 bots even tho I'd lose a few games more. The worst games are those against players that have no actual skill but try to use every broken bs mechanic available to them to somehow get a result in games that on paper, they would never stand a chance. I hear people saying that all the casuals are gone, which might be true in some cases but the casuals in this game are the ones with 5 back, 100 depth, speed boost spam, corner glitching etc. A player that is good enough and has half a brain doesn't need to break the game to be successful except he plays on pro level which is a different topic. This is EAs fault for formating their modes that way and centering everything around packs and rewards but I would put at least a part of the blame on the community.
EA purposely design a game where Stevie wonder could get success at. Because it's all about profits. 90% of EA playerbase are noobs or just casuals. So EA created a meta where everyone can can get success. Hence no skillgap at all anything that would create a skill gap is massively nerfed or useless in gameplay because you get punished for logical ways of playing which requires braincells. This game rewards spam tackling and being a noob or casual is way more rewarding than being good.

I just played a guy who spammed LB+Y to his big striker all game. I cut it out every time except once when my player switching failed. This is on SEASONS lol not even FUT. That’s how crazy these sweats are. I scored 2 goals from nice GROUND passing plays so I was up 2-1.
Anywho, I passed around the back for the last 18 game minutes to teach this sweat bag a lesson. He messaged me with some drivel about me playing like a girl scared. Wild because I abused this dude in shots, possession and overall style of play while he spammed the same 💩 all day.
Still I blame EA. Garbage players like this wouldn’t have a chance to win in older FIFAs. Not a chance. This past decade’s games have literally been made for these types of people.
FIFA 12 was the game where people bitched about LB+Y but those plays were easy to cut out back then. Easier than they are now because there are so many other exploits to have to watch for. FIFA 12 only had that one.

I have to say, that TH-camrs may be the primary reason FIFA is still popular (though consumers play a big role as well). I don't understand it; if any other video game genre were doing what EA has done, do you think it would still be around?
FIFA 24 is available on Game Pass 😂, but I’ve only played the tournament league and that's it. I have little desire to play the inferior version of Football Manager and open packs like I'm addicted to them. If the game were free, it would likely be even more broken.
Games like Sega Worldwide Soccer, Striker, and Sensible Soccer can’t exist anymore because players want real-world licenses.

Fc24 my god it was awful really the worst game ever. This year i decided to just play the game the way i want , i try make dribbles ,attack through the middle play totally different from the rats. Its difficult but i try to enjoy the game because its the only football game.
Unsurprisingly old gen is also shit,Most of the goals i concede are a result of my defenders not tracking back,I've tried multiple things to try and fix it,Changed my tactics,Lowered and increased the defensive depth,Changed my defensive playstyle multiple times,Changed my players,Changed to a formation with 2 dms,Nothing worked. Passes dont go where they're supposed to, Weird animations sometimes happening out of nowhere especially for the keepers. I honestly could list out even more shitty stuff but theres too many of them, And if its a skill issue on my part i dont really care anymore game's not worth losing your breath for

I usually just buy the game, watch a few rage videos, and get angry when I get screwed over by the game. This year has been horrible, players look beyond goofy. Now I literally can't play, it doesn't let me load any of my saves. I only play for career mode.
last fifa i was a 14-16 win player. enjoyed the game at certain points but was mainly annoyed by the mortal combat animations. This year my first champs I went 11-4 which I was happy with, the worst part was they were all 1 goal games and i felt that i could've have gone 15-0 if a couple bounces had gone my way. I am nowhere near good enough to get rank 1 or 2 i am a rank 3-4 player. this week(my second week of champs) I went 8-7 losing 5-6 games by 1 goal which happen due to some bullshit, no one's record should change by that much, I haven't gotten rank 6 since fifa 22, I hate this excuse of a game with a passion.
Weekend League has become unplayable to me. As soon as I am 1 or 2 goals my defenders just stop defending, my passes stop connecting and my strikers dont make runs which always causes me losses. In addition to that there is barely any match in which there is no goal in the 90th or 120th minute.
I’m in elite, get 13 wins pretty comfy every week and haven’t spent a penny. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed input delay on Xbox, there’s the odd bit of RNG with tackles and such but that’s expected with fifa. I’d love to try the PC experience to see if it’s truly that much better and I’ve just been blinded by only knowing console gameplay.

So FC24 was pretty much my first FIFA which wasnt a demo and I decided to give it a shot since my friends loved FIFA and all so i thought why not buy it and got into Ultimate Team which got me addicted initially and by the time Toty dropped i reached elite division but as someone who had not played online fifa ever as a random casual i started noticing alot of bugs in the game like players not running fast or just random bounces which led me to conceding so many goals out of nowhere. But then in kickoff I noticed that everything is smooth and nothings too weird so at some point I did get frustrated by the game. I started watching nick alot and then realized everyone has the same issues including all the kick off glitches OP depth tactics and 5 at the back etc which honestly made me feel better since i thought i was crazy. Then i bought fc25 and holyshit all the issues i had with the game are like multiplied by 4 in this game, so many random bounces and players just leaving the ball, 96 PACE ATTACKER DOESNT OUTRUN A 72 PACE DEFENDER EVER. The breakaways are nonexistent and I realized it's just the same players getting the same new cards with the same ratings. The last fifa i played was 15(demo) and i remember how it felt like I was playing football not some cutback simulator, stg the state of this game is horrible rn. And yes the pc one is much better but again it had some games where the players felt like their nucksacks weigh around a ton so weird.

I started playing Fifa with Fifa 12 and had been playing every year consistently for a decade up until Fifa 22, gave Fifa 23 a few months when it was on sale but only really played draft there. The direction the game has gone is so sad because all i see now is EA basically taking off the mask that they care about gameplay which has been blatantly false for years, the almost entire focus now from EA is packs and fifa points to try and turn it into a card collectors game. Having gameplay be consistently terrible for years with overpowered tactics and flatout refusing to change it to the benefit of players as it doesnt affect their bottom line is really what turned me off the game. This alongside the server issues (not really a problem to me as im Irish but for NA its a big issue i know) just made it impossible for me to enjoy actually playing the game and seeing this video really highlighted that to me
Nah I don’t care what anyone says. Thank you Pic for being real Asf about this game. Plenty streamers lie for their money and that’s understandable but just because we moan, don’t mean we don’t appreciate what EA has brought before this. It’s just real to point out when the same product that we enjoyed has parts that have changed for the worse. I think EA have tried to hard to accommodate newbies, those instant gratification people that can’t go through the graft to learn the game. There is no skill gap just feels like EA tries to make it fair by using lag and rebounds. I’m sick of my team stringing together moves for no reward to see a two pass move result in a goal from there rebounds.

I've played this for years, and this year, it's joyless because its so hard to break teams down and the input lag...sometimes its so bad that the commands just never register. At first i thought my controller was broken, swapped it, still exactly the same. Month in and as much as I dont want to quit, im not sure there is any choice.

I've played every FIFA since fifa96, I'm a fut founder and every year they add help to the new players. They close the skill gap by adding ridiculous ai help to keep new players playing. I remember smashing teams with brazilvers squads and having fun now it's literally who spends the most but also who gets the luck.
I get 9/11 wins in champs but lose to guys who are just terrible and probably finish on 5 wins because EA need them to keep playing but more importantly keep buying packs.
I genuinely believe they spend more time researching betting algorithms than genuine gameplay improvements.
