by far the worst gameplay i´ve ever played, used to be a div1/elite player now i cant even get out the beggining of div 4. Delay, 8 defenders at the back, 0 space to make runs, 0 counter attacks, players feeling like bricks.... honestly i cant play this at all. the only online mode i can play is rush and seasons

The thing about every FIFA game since 15 is that what used to be games based on timed button combos, vision, anticipation, even if you weren’t doing skills your timing and STICK SKILLS were vital to your success. Now it’s the opposite. I just played a game where my opponent made 9 straight mistakes in the way of bad passes, getting tackled, having shots blocked… and all 9 of those “mistakes” turned into favorable bounces for HIM (or her) instead of me. How weird is it to make a video game where stick skills don’t matter? Imagine a fighting game where beginners who only know to button mash kick and punch, never use block, and don’t know any super move button combos. Imagine those players being LEVEL with someone who knows all the super moves off by heart and is a veteran of the game with good twitch skills on top of that. That’s what these new EA football games are. Literally A, A, X, B pushed in rapid succession with zero thought is as successful as someone trying to play the ball through the midfield and actually can do a skill or two. WOW.
I quit the game day 2 (full release). Everything is and feel sluggish, 5backs, cant pass correct, cant Lstick move and delays/lags. I am also playing on pc with very good specs. Haven't have fun once. Until they fix this shit, I won't play this shitty ass game
Inception is right. L1 speed boost has to be nerfed. Its straight up stupid how broken it is,you need 0 skill in this game to abuse it and you cant defend it enough well to not nerf it. Also,same problems like last year,R1 "dribbling" should be nerfed too and they should let the actual skill moves shine.
It's not delay or lag. It's DDA to make the game fun for all and retain weaker players. More players, more FC points sold. gameplay and delay and servers is a delusion.
I’m glad you’re trying to take this year in a more chill/fun way. At the end of the day it’s about using players you like and enjoying the best you can. Easy to get caught up in the sweat but we gotta stay chill :)
When the gameplay feels good for you, its probably pain for the enemy, bcs one side is ALWAYS fcked by dda. Its not inconsistency, its not lag, its EA's most evil invention to make garbage players happy: dynamic difficulty. If I play too good in the first half, absolutely cooking the other guy, my team just stops playing the game, and the enemy team gets boosted insanely. I legit play against the AI, not the guy whos controlling the team. Just test it yourself. Play completely SHIT, and do NOTHING for one half, i guarantee you will win the game at the second no matter what you do, rebounds/passes/shots will always favour you. Thats how it works..
Completely agree. I played 45 mins in mud with players just ball watching and was 3 - 0 down. Second half my players became ninja and score 3 goals in 15mins. Win1 goog gameplay loose 1 players lost like amateur difficulty level. 100% DDA is governing the accounts. It's not delay or lag. It's DDA to make the game fun for all and retain weaker players. More players, more FC points sold.
My experience also. I was so happy at the beginning of the match gameplay was smooth I went up 2-0 then the second half my players just didn't move. I was shocked that gameplay can change even during a game now. I think I lost that match 2-8 :(
Yes, I was demolished by oponent in first half like 0-4. I could do nothing, he was wiping with me the pitch like with a dirty rag. Match ended my win 8-5. Defenders stop running, covering attackers, they run into glass walls. Just had a game where oponent at the end made run on the wing, a had 3 players around him and they started to shut down one after another, they stopped following the action and only watch, they did activate 3 seconda later when attacking player was already far away, alone, entering box from the side. Same happend with my players in the middle, they stopped or slowed down, did not came back with the action, opponent players of course full sprint to the box so I end up with 3 oponent players in my box with one defender which I was controling, my all other AI players were watching or stopped tracking the action. It was minute 86 and a draw 3-3. This year game is total shit, it was never that terrible. This "expanded" tactic and roles are something completely opposit of what they should be. It this will not be fixed, this is the last game I will buy.

I’ve been playing fifa since fifa 13 (online) up until now and i always been a div 1-2 player consistently. Hearing ur opinion really tells me that u never been good at this game (I’ve never watched any of ur gameplay) this game used to be about simple skills and actual player skill (not expensive squad) ofc they add stuff overtime and u just got to adapt but when they add broken stuff that got nun to do with gameplay. U talk about arcade game and always been but u actually wrong, the game only started feeling like that after fifa 19-20. U saying speed boost is not a problem but it is. ea is probably testing the game on specific servers where they have insanely good gameplay all the time, so they dont even see the issues we are having. For them the game feels and plays how it should, fast, responsive, etc
probably all comes from the servers no? we see every single fifa that the game doesn't load full stop if it's even slightly busy, we had that during the last 2 weeks of last fifa. even this year there are queues just to get in. gameplay probably all revolves around the servers, the lag and delay which we feel in-game is probably literally there because of how shitty their servers are, that would at least be a start.

They give you a few good games, making your players perform really well. Then, they adjust your players, causing them to play poorly, hoping you'll get frustrated and think your players are bad so you'll spend real money. They do the same on mobile. On mobile, EA even matches you up against fake online opponents right before you're about to get promoted, making your game very difficult. This issue goes away when you spend real money, but it returns a week later. They're pure evil
This game can easily be run on a 5600xt or gtx 1660 super gpu with a 10th gen i3 or any ryzen 3000 series processor or better. This complete pc costs like $300-$400 which is less than a PS5. Plus on PC you get the added benefit of good gameplay and Free Multiplayer unlike PS+ subscription. I have played UT of all fifas in the past decade on PC and faced '0' cheaters
Turn on vsync/framerate limit on PC to control that loud noise. One can even safely undervolt the CPU/GPU using MSI afterburner(GPU) and Bios(CPU) to achieve low power consumption and overall less heat/noise output.

Anyone else got problems with button input in this game? Literally can't move my GK at all when I'm holding R3 down, my menu won't let me quick sell a player when I hold down on my Left stick and my players do a ball roll before doing a croqueta whenever I try to croqueta. Told my mate the same yesterday, if ea decided to do manual defending where the ai is 0% 90 % of players wouldn’t be able to play the game. L1 speedboost is mayne ratty with players like Nico Willams Mbappe etc, but essential. If mertensacker still played this game he would outpace mbappe within 2-3 steps.
Whenever I've watched him, he's literally in tears over the game. He talks like the game is impossible if the players you use don't have specific animations. It's not that deep, it's just a video game.

Inconsistent gameplay is the worst. I started in the 10th league, I I was doing pretty well until the 7th league. Then I had 20 matches, where I couldn't win 2 times in a row. I was using the same tactics, but my wingers magically couldn't run for a through ball and defensive players were trying to take the ball only when I was too far away from the opponent, but after I somehow managed to won, now my playyers are reacting the same way they were before 7th league.
Bro honestly 🎉the game is absolutely horribly...played a rat 5 atb.... in fut qualifiers last match luckily i won..it was just dead ,the game kept helping him,my defence opening up automatically, had to player switch my ass off to keep them in shape ,he got 5-6 rebounds game kept giving him the ball to score ,he didnt take his opportunity and i won 5 -3...it was so obvious the DDA .i felt like i was helpless...I just couldn't control my players and had to spam trivelas and use player locks to actually play.....its only because i was lucky and a little smart i won...uff...i m just an idiot i was optimistic and bought the game to give it a last try ,cos i quit ea fc early .i think i have to do it again..its just unacceptable. This game is completely trash, I agree. 24 was indeed playable. But this game is just tooo bad. I constantly face the issue where I have 60 - 80% possession against people who constantly sit back. I have so much chances, with green timed shots but suddenly my opponent’s goalkeeper saves shots in every corner and long range finesses and trivelas. I always have between 4 and 5 XG, but I often do fail to score or score 1/2 and end up conceding 3 counters almost every single game. It’s so scripted as well

This game has no skill. Good players nowadays are just people who are good at reading the momentum and are good sticking to the META. Theres not really much of a competition of PLAYER vs PLAYER but yet you have to fight the machine, AI, HANDICAPED, RIGGED, DDA instead. No point in playing this. I just refunded after 2 weeks and now patiently waiting for UFL that the BETA was already a better experience for me. Sorry guys, but i think this type of gameplay is the best.. a bit slower, more realistic and it’s possible to score all types of goals, not just cutbacks. I think it’s really well balanced.. some minor things to adjust here an there.. but OVERALL, atleast for me this is one of the best games they made 👍🏽
i agree with inception that the no1 problem is the servers and/or netcode. its a giant multiplayer game and every year it runs like some 5$ garbage game.

Pick i doubt you'll see this. I'm a div 1/elite player. You're 100% spot on with the deflections and rebounds. Every other save from keepers go right to another attacker, it's so bad that getting alisson has made me concede maybe 1/3 as much as before. Deflector+ is a necessity rn and i don't think people realise it yet.
This guy is always confused. What happened was he got good DDA for 3 games and of course assumed that is what should be "normal". Not how it works. It means that 3 people got terrible DDA against them -- it's a zero sum game.
I fully agree with you Nick, you cannot talk about any attacking mecanic until the defensive approach to the game is adressed first. The defensive AI is absolutely ridiculous : tracking, tackles from behind, depth in the box, blocks on shot. Everything is absolutely over the top and forces you down the one or two path to the goals that are consistent. And the rebounds on bad passes and bad dribbling ? Absolutely ridiculous. It was mostly fine in 24, to the point that i ve seen 10 times more rebound based goals than over the entire 24 cycle. Overall, 25 is an atrocious gameplay experience at the moment, it s probably the worst early game of any of the Fifa games ever released, definitely among the 5 last edition. Finally, offensive AI.... i ve already lost count how many times i ve seen attackers hide behind a CB when they re initially fully open, or just cant seem to be able to take a step back to counter run a defender that tracks back in the box. What this game needs is simple : - massive nerf to AI defensive tracking - nerf to the ability of AI to make blocks or tackles when a player triggers a pass or shot - Nerf manual and auto tackles from behind - Nerf rebounds, if possible - Massively buff short passing - Nerf R1 passing on players that dont have over 80 passing stats, which would kill the abuse of blind passing from the box. - Then, nerf offensive options based on how things evolve. Simple, and perfectly doable. Except they just dont want a fair game. They want a game anyone can get satisfied with and just enough frustration that they run to the store for packs.

by far the worst gameplay i´ve ever played, used to be a div1/elite player now i cant even get out the beggining of div 4. Delay, 8 defenders at the back, 0 space to make runs, 0 counter attacks, players feeling like bricks.... honestly i cant play this at all. the only online mode i can play is rush and seasons

The thing about every FIFA game since 15 is that what used to be games based on timed button combos, vision, anticipation, even if you weren’t doing skills your timing and STICK SKILLS were vital to your success. Now it’s the opposite.
I just played a game where my opponent made 9 straight mistakes in the way of bad passes, getting tackled, having shots blocked… and all 9 of those “mistakes” turned into favorable bounces for HIM (or her) instead of me. How weird is it to make a video game where stick skills don’t matter?
Imagine a fighting game where beginners who only know to button mash kick and punch, never use block, and don’t know any super move button combos. Imagine those players being LEVEL with someone who knows all the super moves off by heart and is a veteran of the game with good twitch skills on top of that.
That’s what these new EA football games are. Literally A, A, X, B pushed in rapid succession with zero thought is as successful as someone trying to play the ball through the midfield and actually can do a skill or two. WOW.
I quit the game day 2 (full release). Everything is and feel sluggish, 5backs, cant pass correct, cant Lstick move and delays/lags. I am also playing on pc with very good specs. Haven't have fun once. Until they fix this shit, I won't play this shitty ass game
Inception is right. L1 speed boost has to be nerfed. Its straight up stupid how broken it is,you need 0 skill in this game to abuse it and you cant defend it enough well to not nerf it. Also,same problems like last year,R1 "dribbling" should be nerfed too and they should let the actual skill moves shine.

When the gameplay feels good for you, its probably pain for the enemy, bcs one side is ALWAYS fcked by dda. Its not inconsistency, its not lag, its EA's most evil invention to make garbage players happy: dynamic difficulty. If I play too good in the first half, absolutely cooking the other guy, my team just stops playing the game, and the enemy team gets boosted insanely. I legit play against the AI, not the guy whos controlling the team. Just test it yourself. Play completely SHIT, and do NOTHING for one half, i guarantee you will win the game at the second no matter what you do, rebounds/passes/shots will always favour you. Thats how it works..
Completely agree. I played 45 mins in mud with players just ball watching and was 3 - 0 down. Second half my players became ninja and score 3 goals in 15mins. Win1 goog gameplay loose 1 players lost like amateur difficulty level. 100% DDA is governing the accounts. It's not delay or lag. It's DDA to make the game fun for all and retain weaker players. More players, more FC points sold.
My experience also. I was so happy at the beginning of the match gameplay was smooth I went up 2-0 then the second half my players just didn't move. I was shocked that gameplay can change even during a game now. I think I lost that match 2-8 :(

Yes, I was demolished by oponent in first half like 0-4. I could do nothing, he was wiping with me the pitch like with a dirty rag. Match ended my win 8-5. Defenders stop running, covering attackers, they run into glass walls. Just had a game where oponent at the end made run on the wing, a had 3 players around him and they started to shut down one after another, they stopped following the action and only watch, they did activate 3 seconda later when attacking player was already far away, alone, entering box from the side. Same happend with my players in the middle, they stopped or slowed down, did not came back with the action, opponent players of course full sprint to the box so I end up with 3 oponent players in my box with one defender which I was controling, my all other AI players were watching or stopped tracking the action. It was minute 86 and a draw 3-3. This year game is total shit, it was never that terrible. This "expanded" tactic and roles are something completely opposit of what they should be. It this will not be fixed, this is the last game I will buy.

I’ve been playing fifa since fifa 13 (online) up until now and i always been a div 1-2 player consistently. Hearing ur opinion really tells me that u never been good at this game (I’ve never watched any of ur gameplay) this game used to be about simple skills and actual player skill (not expensive squad) ofc they add stuff overtime and u just got to adapt but when they add broken stuff that got nun to do with gameplay. U talk about arcade game and always been but u actually wrong, the game only started feeling like that after fifa 19-20. U saying speed boost is not a problem but it is. This is not rocket league, its a person who is running faster then they stats show. Whats the point of stats then? & ofc u play on PC thats why u don’t have a problem. ea is probably testing the game on specific servers where they have insanely good gameplay all the time, so they dont even see the issues we are having. For them the game feels and plays how it should, fast, responsive, etc

probably all comes from the servers no? we see every single fifa that the game doesn't load full stop if it's even slightly busy, we had that during the last 2 weeks of last fifa. even this year there are queues just to get in. gameplay probably all revolves around the servers, the lag and delay which we feel in-game is probably literally there because of how shitty their servers are, that would at least be a start.

They give you a few good games, making your players perform really well. Then, they adjust your players, causing them to play poorly, hoping you'll get frustrated and think your players are bad so you'll spend real money.
They do the same on mobile. On mobile, EA even matches you up against fake online opponents right before you're about to get promoted, making your game very difficult. This issue goes away when you spend real money, but it returns a week later.

This game can easily be run on a 5600xt or gtx 1660 super gpu with a 10th gen i3 or any ryzen 3000 series processor or better. This complete pc costs like $300-$400 which is less than a PS5. Plus on PC you get the added benefit of good gameplay and Free Multiplayer unlike PS+ subscription. I have played UT of all fifas in the past decade on PC and faced '0' cheaters
Turn on vsync/framerate limit on PC to control that loud noise. One can even safely undervolt the CPU/GPU using MSI afterburner(GPU) and Bios(CPU) to achieve low power consumption and overall less heat/noise output.

Literally can't move my GK at all when I'm holding R3 down, my menu won't let me quick sell a player when I hold down on my Left stick and my players do a ball roll before doing a croqueta whenever I try to croqueta. It's wild that I managed to get to Div 3 with some of the problems I've been experiencing since the start of Fifa

Told my mate the same yesterday, if ea decided to do manual defending where the ai is 0% 90 % of players wouldn’t be able to play the game. L1 speedboost is mayne ratty with players like Nico Willams Mbappe etc, but essential. If mertensacker still played this game he would outpace mbappe within 2-3 steps.

Inconsistent gameplay is the worst. I started in the 10th league, I I was doing pretty well until the 7th league. Then I had 20 matches, where I couldn't win 2 times in a row. I was using the same tactics, but my wingers magically couldn't run for a through ball and defensive players were trying to take the ball only when I was too far away from the opponent, but after I somehow managed to won, now my playyers are reacting the same way they were before 7th league.
Speed Boost should be nerfed to the ground. Let 5 in the back. Is the best tactic

Bro honestly 🎉the game is absolutely horribly...played a rat 5 atb.... in fut qualifiers last match luckily i won..it was just dead ,the game kept helping him,my defence opening up automatically, had to player switch my ass off to keep them in shape ,he got 5-6 rebounds game kept giving him the ball to score ,he didnt take his opportunity and i won 5 -3...it was so obvious the DDA .i felt like i was helpless...I just couldn't control my players and had to spam trivelas and use player locks to actually play.....its only because i was lucky and a little smart i won...uff...i m just an idiot i was optimistic and bought the game to give it a last try ,cos i quit ea fc early .i think i have to do it again..its just unacceptable. This game is completely trash, I agree. 24 was indeed playable. But this game is just tooo bad. I constantly face the issue where I have 60 - 80% possession against people who constantly sit back. I have so much chances, with green timed shots but suddenly my opponent’s goalkeeper saves shots in every corner and long range finesses and trivelas. I always have between 4 and 5 XG, but I often do fail to score or score 1/2 and end up conceding 3 counters almost every single game. It’s so scripted as well

This game has no skill. Good players nowadays are just people who are good at reading the momentum and are good sticking to the META. Theres not really much of a competition of PLAYER vs PLAYER but yet you have to fight the machine, AI, HANDICAPED, RIGGED, DDA instead. No point in playing this. I just refunded after 2 weeks and now patiently waiting for UFL that the BETA was already a better experience for me. Fair game, needs to improve alot since its new but i actually like playing and dont feel like i just have to like EAFC

Sorry guys, but i think this type of gameplay is the best.. a bit slower, more realistic and it’s possible to score all types of goals, not just cutbacks. I think it’s really well balanced.. some minor things to adjust here an there.. but OVERALL, atleast for me this is one of the best games they made 👍🏽

i agree with inception that the no1 problem is the servers and/or netcode. its a giant multiplayer game and every year it runs like some 5$ garbage game.
it's a shame you cant even go over to have fun on clubs either cause the servers aren't good enough for the demands required there aswell now. Truly a shambles of a game

I love inception, he’s one of my favorite fifa content creators. EA can’t fix inconsistent gameplay, it would take at least 2 years to revamp the entire coding
Pick i doubt you'll see this. I'm a div 1/elite player. You're 100% spot on with the deflections and rebounds. Every other save from keepers go right to another attacker, it's so bad that getting alisson has made me concede maybe 1/3 as much as before. Deflector+ is a necessity rn and i don't think people realise it yet.

This guy is always confused. What happened was he got good DDA for 3 games and of course assumed that is what should be "normal".
Not how it works. It means that 3 people got terrible DDA against them -- it's a zero sum game.
I fully agree with you Nick, you cannot talk about any attacking mecanic until the defensive approach to the game is adressed first.
The defensive AI is absolutely ridiculous : tracking, tackles from behind, depth in the box, blocks on shot. Everything is absolutely over the top and forces you down the one or two path to the goals that are consistent.
And the rebounds on bad passes and bad dribbling ? Absolutely ridiculous. It was mostly fine in 24, to the point that i ve seen 10 times more rebound based goals than over the entire 24 cycle.
Overall, 25 is an atrocious gameplay experience at the moment, it s probably the worst early game of any of the Fifa games ever released, definitely among the 5 last edition.
Finally, offensive AI.... i ve already lost count how many times i ve seen attackers hide behind a CB when they re initially fully open, or just cant seem to be able to take a step back to counter run a defender that tracks back in the box.
What this game needs is simple :
- massive nerf to AI defensive tracking
- nerf to the ability of AI to make blocks or tackles when a player triggers a pass or shot
- Nerf manual and auto tackles from behind
- Nerf rebounds, if possible
- Massively buff short passing
- Nerf R1 passing on players that dont have over 80 passing stats, which would kill the abuse of blind passing from the box.
- Then, nerf offensive options based on how things evolve.
Simple, and perfectly doable. Except they just dont want a fair game. They want a game anyone can get satisfied with and just enough frustration that they run to the store for packs.

About delay well, more worried about stuttering but the input delay is crazy. Its like im playing a crazy high graphics videogame
