Estimating - Probably a 20v drill and assuming a 4 amp hour battery I estimate 7 to 7.5 miles. Top speed is 25-28 mph for a couple of minutes if gearing is right. Cruising speed probably 15-20 For Distance - I'll assume 4 amp hour battery. Most 20v drills make about 500 watts (hard to find info), so they are pulling 25 amps. At full speed putting all that power into the bike it could last maybe 9 minutes. He looks like he is going 15 mph. 2.25 miles. In reality though, its probably only using half the power, and half the time one is coasting, so 2.25 * 4 = 9 miles. Take 25% away to account for efficiency. So Probably 7 miles. I used a bike distance calculator online and it said 8.6 miles with a 24v system. Drill is probably less efficient so probably 7.5 mile or so this way. For Speed - I used a bike watts calculator to maintain a certain speed at 400 watts one can sustain 25-28 mph. If the drill has 500 watt max capability its only so efficient so I'm just estimating 20% loss or so. I think that would only be possible for a minute or so before battery drain lowers the output.
my 20v batteries only run about 10 mins straight, so maybe a mile or so if you are lucky. also remember, this thing is straight geared, you can't coast and when your battery is out you're pretty much done unless you wanna pedal against the motor.
Do you know what this doesn’t look super practical; however, this is very creative! Hopefully our battery technology will improve in the next few years and things like this would really be something else. I myself would prefer the steam powered bicycle that you can cook your dinner on
Bien.buena idea. Tambien puedes colocarle un par de barritas en el cuadro de la bici mas al frente asi no tienes los pies hacia atras y tienes mas apoyo.
ive seen this done at least 6 times before and this is the best by a mile and the easiest, and some others you cant pedal only the drill powers it, and yes the large cog will shark fin in a while but most don't use it just the smaller cog and bike parts are cheap if not free on council pickups,

Every thing is backwards the throttle on the left hand side and you have to twist it away from you no peddles and a battery that will take you down the road and maybe back if you’re lucky
If you bring 15-20 spare drills with you, you will be probably doing 15-20 km. Plastic gears and no cooling, exactly what you expect in an e-bike powertrain.
I built one of these, but first time locking it to a post, someone nicked the drill. It was a long pedal home. LOL
Lol 😂😂
I think it would be a great idea to mount the drill in a lockable housing structure, which will then be welded to the bike.
……how about bringing an extra battery along?
😂😂😂
@@Moon-magic109 did you read the original comment? He said they nicked the drill, not the battery 🤡🫵🏽
Wouldn't it be possible and better to modify a battery charger and use a speed/volt controller. Once bike is parked, unhook the battery 🔋?

Speaking of grip strength, how about 2:17? 🤣
Nothing like a good grip strength if you know what i mean 🤣

As cool as it is I have to question the durability because the drill is not designed to be running constantly like it would be when riding.
