The only time I had heard of the Railway Grapevine was from your 'Defining Disneyfication' edition of GTI. After hearing about what they do and who they targeted, all I can say is: Good riddance to them.

Well done. I have loved your work for a while. I have wondered because I volunteer at the railroad museum for my state in Pennsylvania. It has sort of got me thinking about a sole slip series on the locomotives of the museum, as nearly all of them are sole survivors themselves (of course with your permission, I would not plagiarize your work). But the long and short of my comment is don’t ever stop being awesome yourself

If I may, Mr Eden-Green, I have a suggestion: why not create a series about lesser known Locos that no longer exist? I'm sure many people will find it fascinating.
And if it's all the same, I think the LNER Ivatt R1 is a good place to start. The info can be found on the LNER encyclopedia if you're interested.

Congrats on having your likeness rendered as a model train figure Chris! It would be cool to have a model of you in my collection, maybe a few with each one being a different size. Have you ever had your likeness rendered in Dovetail Games' train simulation games? I have, I'm one of the pedestrians in both Dovetail Games' New York to Philadelphia Northeast Corridor and Marias Pass for Train Simulator 2019 and I'm also the fireman in Smokebox's Central Pacific American types, Union Pacific American types and Central Pacific Ten Wheelers also for Train Simulator 2019. It would be cool to see you rendered in Train Simulator 2019 or Train Sim World too!

I was and I stress was an new subscriber until I came across this video. I have to confess I've never even heard of this Facebook page before until you mentioned it in a passive aggressive way in your last video so that people would go to this Facebook page and demand it canceled. It is somewhat ironic you mention the navis as they were real men who would have dealt with issues as men do. I'm sure if a word such as "snowflake" existed back then to describe someone who was sensitive to the slightest of provocation it would have been laughed off. Now we live in a world were one has to be silenced if another has hurty feelings.
Of course I cannot blame those who have hurty feelings at the slightest of provocation that should really be laughed off as the media have indoctrinated people into a victim mentality. Unfortunately this has led us to where we are at today where people are so divided that it was easy for government's and those behind the curtain make 2020 the largest social experiment history has ever seen.
The unfortunate thing about all this hurty feelings agenda is that we are so distracted by our hurty feelings we do not see what is coming down the line (no pun intended) and we will all not escape what is coming.
By demanding action being taken instead of just laughing it off, one has effectively proven that one is sensitive to the slightest of provocation.

In 00 scale Hornby did do some for a few years (other than Thomas) that are fairly accurate for their age.

I find it interesting how you use the term "Social Justice Warrior", since that term is so over-used (describing anyone who advocates for social justice/isn't a bigot) it's lost all meaning. It's hard to find anyone who fits that description, since the term is so loose it's difficult to define the phrase to begin with!
Hell, you (Chris) could be called an "SJW" just for mentioning that transphobia exists. I think it does well to be aware of the language we use, even if its referring to a vague archetype of people who may or may not be based on specific individuals.
I bring this up partly due to the term being used most often by those opposing social justice (which Chris demonstrably does not), and partly because the actual topic of the Railway Grapvine is so unremarkable that it's hardly worth commenting on.

Yeah the E2 was absolutely awful in every technical regard
The only reason you know anything about the E2 is because of Thomas the Tank Engine. If Awdry had never settled on Thomas being an E2 no one would jump to the defense of the E2. Awdry's original sketch for Thomas didn't even look like an E2 but more like an LNER J50 with an extended coal bunker, and that would have been better than an E2.
I quite like the E2. The only problem they really had was poor steaming, which would have been cured by using the I3 superheated boiler.
