It's a good looking bike. The only thing that'll make it faster than an SL7 (or a Madone, or a Teammachine, or a TCR, etc) is the rider.

Please do!! Im between the aforementioned road bikes and rode a SuperSix EVO today. It was great even in lowest 105 spec. But before I drop and $, I’d love to know which is fastest: Super 6, System6, SL7/8, Madone SLR, Propel, TeamMachine, Aeroad CF SLX 8, S5, Foil RC, etc. How about a shootout in mid spec (affordable)?

    • @joelzylstra2971

I think the onus should be on the consumers to stop spending money on race bikes.
If these were cars it would be people buying F1 cars and complaining they cost too much.
There are still very simple, time honored and relatively inexpensive road bikes that exist. They won’t get you any social media clout or Bike Radar any likes or subscribes so people don’t want them and makers don’t advertise them as richly.
There is still a place for saving 4 watts and for that reason such a bike exists.

    • @Afrikakorps68
      @Afrikakorps68 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Why stopping? In few years time we will have just to brake as going too fast without even pedalling...faster, lighter, more rigid, more aero, more Watts saving....more boring and annoying!!!

For 15k, I should get a completely customized bike, color of my choice, components, wheels, pedals, power meter, hub motor, and my choice of computers. All included.
The only thing Cannondale did was regurgitate the same advertising that’s led to these idiotic prices in the first place. Three of the top 4, Tadej in 2021 coming in 2nd, recorded average speeds in the TdF came from Lance Armstrong. His Madone then costs half of what the Madone costs now. And it was a lighter bike then. All this “aero/compliance/climbing” geometry didn’t exist. One bike did it all, until the manufacturers decided they needed to make more money by creating bike niches.
Then content creators assisted by doubling down in a sense by validating this BS with reviews. This bike goes no faster than the bike next to it, with the lone difference being how long it takes to get up to speed. And that has a LOT to do with wheel choice.
No thanks. I’ll take a medium Canyon Aeroad, weighing 17.5lbs, for $6500, and I’ll go just as fast as my legs will carry me.
Remember everyone, pros don’t pick their bikes, nor do they pay for them.

@@pilikiosuafoa1727 basic marketing. You want to see how far people are willing to go for your high end model. What cannondale doesn’t realize is - this is how you ruin your brand. It’s not about the price, it’s just there is no big jump in quality after about 4-5k for a bike. So if someone buys this, they think the price justifies something, but it doesn’t and it isn’t and cyclists know this. Therefore - pot-belly bankers, this is your weapon of choice! Don’t forget the aero socks.

@@pilikiosuafoa1727 It's like the PC GPU prices. During lockdown everybody wanted bikes and Gpus. So therefore they could charge anything they wanted and they all got sold (including the crypto miners for gpus) now that the market has corrected they still want the huge margins. In fact 2018 I got a lovely Spec Roubaix for 2k (105 hydro disc's) that bike now is nearly 5k (new version)
I know it's been done to death but for £12k you could buy a nice 2nd hand car! Or a very nice motorbike. Or even a year's worth of energy 😂. But it's always worth having a ridiculous priced model as some fucker will buy it.

Beware: Read Cannondale’s fine print in their Limited Warranty Policy. They may use it against you for their best interest. My $5000.000 carbon fiber frame Jekyll broke after six years of use. Cannondale never made a finding that it was due to use or abuse. A hairline crack formed at a weak point in the frame. The bike was sold to me with a lifetime warranty on the frame. The best offer Cannondale gave me, under their lifetime warranty, was 20% off of retail - yes, that's right 20% off of retail. I fought them on it over a two month period and lost. So, I am now stuck with a 34lb paperweight. Cannondale has what I feel is the worse warranty in the bike business. If you do purchase a Cannondale bike and something goes wrong, know that they probably will not work with you at any level in your best interest. In my opinion, Cannondale does not value you as a customer, they only value your money. This has been my experience.

Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. The Wheelbase of the old Evo is so long, way to long to feel agile. Also it didnt want me to ride hard. I did not like it unfortionally.

Please get a competent reviewer who can actually take advantage of the bike's stiffness, lightness and aero features to create a real review and not someone who just reads back the sales brochure after taking a superbike on leisure rides.

I paid $599 for a new Cannondale R500T in 1996. I promise that bike was more aesthetically pleasing that this thing. And that isn't saying much.
