A Brief History of Granola (and how to make it)

Hey, guess what, today we are going over the brief history of how granola was invented and then we will be sharing our recipe for chocolate coconut granola.

★ Recipe
Ingredients needed:
-270g | 2.64 cups of oats
-sprinkle of salt
-60g | 1/4 cup of coconut oil
-120ml | 1/2 cup of maple syrup or honey
-30g | 1/5 cup of cocoa powder
-some dried fruits
-100g | 1 1/4 cups of chopped nuts
-handful of shredded coconut
[Instructions]
-Preheat your oven to 170°C or 340°F
-Chop nuts, mix them with oats
-Heat coconut oil, maple syrup/honey, cocoa powder and salt
-Stir on low heat until combined
-Pour fat-sugar mixture over the oats and stir
-Stir in shredded coconut
-Spread out oats on a baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes
-Let oats rest until they're cooled
-Scramble oats, add your dried fruit
-Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks

Great vid! I saw “grain-free” granola at the store the other day… I was pretty sure grain is what made it granola. The product was just seeds, fruit and sugar. But grains are seeds too I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
