  • I've started my first psyc rotation! Needless to say I'm still adjusting, but today was one of my favourite days so far. We had some very serious conditions and there's so much to think about! Please let me know your thoughts on some of these conditions or any experiences you may have.

Another masterful and informative video. Australia has much more help and resources for the mentally ill and other social problems then here in the states. Just keep chopping away at that medical tree and soon you will get the title of "Doctor" Med DownUnder. Then you need a long vacation and rest as if that's going to happen. LOL. If i may act as an ambassador for my Grate State of Florida we have Disney World or the Everglades if your more outdoorsy. Keep up the good work on the videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we are very lucky with our public system here! I can't imagine what would happen to some of our patients without this acute help they need.
I'll certainly be looking forward to break after this year -its been full on, but outdoorsy activities are definitely on the list! Probably not as beautiful as the Everglades though - but perhaps one day. :)
Thanks for the encouraging comment as usual!

Obviously I can’t comment on your personal experiences but for any patient I should mention hallucinations are analysed looking at various factors and account for culturally accepted ideas or beliefs. There are so many more components of someone being diagnosed with psychosis than I explained in the video (thought patterns, delusions, disorganised thinking - and much more ; it’s very extensive!) 🙂
