Wow what an amazing experience! Great Wall has been on my bucket list for a long time... I am updating it as The Great Wall + Marathon! Thanks for the info!
I'm planning on doing this with my sister next year.....I've only done a couple half marathons and i finished them in 3 hrs 24min....so i have to start training...I'm kinda skeptical on doing this as my first marathon bc i don't want to not finish...but At the same time I would love this to be my first....i seen it took you 10hrs...i thought the cut off times was 8hrs. Do you know how strict they were about the check points?
Hey! Thanks for the comment! There are 2 marathons over the Great Wall of China. I did the Conquer The Wall marathon. (www.conquerthewallmarathon.com) I'm not entirely sure the difference as I only got booked onto this 3 weeks before. We had a check point time which I just made but I didn't hear of them being strict. But that was this event. Maybe give it a check. It's extremely elevated which meant I didn't run much. Stairs are your new friend along with squats and deadlifts for strong legs and back. You'll love it!
Well done! This is definitely on the bucket list!

Hi! Yes, I think you are right. The Great Wall of China was the week after I am sure. I'm not sure I am in a rush to get back there though 😂
