After 8 years, they crowned another black woman. Due to the fact that Leila Lopes has so much "profit" and even bagging the longest reign in Miss Universe for 464 days from 12th September 2011 - 18th December 2012. In fact, the new crown was not fully paid yet. The DIC crown was not able to utilize it to it is maximum because the debt behind it. That is why they brought back the Mikimoto. There will be tendencies that IMG would not able to pay it again if the Miss Universe would not gain any profit in the winner.
