  • Hey, welcome to my daily Guyana adventures vlog! A few days ago, I embarked on an epic journey from Georgetown to Linden-Lethem Trail, one of the most legendary trails in South America. This 14 hour trail led us through dense rainforests and along the way we encountered a fallen tree, adding an unexpected twist to our adventure. But every moment was incredible and I cherished it all.
Our destination was the breathtaking Rupununi Savannah and I made my base camp at the wonderful Waikin Ranch. Thanks to their hospitality, I had the chance to partake in all the amazing activities this region has to offer.
Day 2 of my Rupununi adventure: We kicked off with an exhilarating horseback ride in the Savannah, spotting a majestic giant anteater! After a tasty breakfast at Waikin Ranch, we explored Moco-Moco Falls, thanks to our amazing guides. Afterwards we delved into indigenous Guyanese culture.
A real highlight of my trip was meeting Mrs. Hernandez from the Wapishana tribe in St. Ignatius village, Rupununi Savannah, Guyana. Join me as I explore the rich tradition of Wapishana hammock weaving and learn the intricate process of spinning cotton into thread. Immerse yourself in the beauty of indigenous craftsmanship and culture as I share this unique experience with you. Mrs. Hernandez is not only incredibly beautiful inside and out but also immensely talented. It takes her a whole month to create a single hammock and her dedication involves countless sleepless nights and an abundance of hard work.
