Thank you for celebrating the life and philosophy of Daniel Dennett. He was an important contributor to my own philosophical understanding as an agnostic/atheist. I am grateful for both the conceptual framework and language he helped to develop. To use his own words, we should all "thank goodness" for Daniel Dennett.
That was a genuine treat. Our world of secular reason will miss Professor Dennett - his body of profoundly important work lives on. It's also nice to learn that clerics have a place to go for help with their psychosis! 😉😊
I wish I could hit the like button many more times!
A fellow British citizen here. Will truly miss the late Daniel dennett. A sharp secular thinker to the end..
I’m sad and will miss professor Dennett immensely! ❤️
Great show thank you he's one of the greatest philosophers ever.
I loved Dr. Daniel Dennett, very sad to hear about his passing, I would have loved to meet him, he was my absolute favorite, an intellectual giant, a legend, true sage, heard he was also very kind gentle person, huge loss to civilization, I will watch tons of his lectures in the next few weeks in his memory, I made a playlist of his lectures and interviews for myself to work through, listening to Dr Dennett lectures would be my idea of Heaven
What a guy! Going to have to read his autobiography.
Legends!
He was such a lovely man
Thank you for rebroadcasting this really wonderful discussion!
This guy is really fun to listen to. I am thankful to FFRF for bringing me to many unique and interesting people. I have borrowed and ordered some of his books.
😢 Dan Dennett was a national treasure. He'll be sorely missed. The last good Horseman.
Love that man! Haven’t heard much from him in quite some time, glad to see he’s doing well and still speaking up
Who do you mean? Surely not Dennett, right?
Dennet sadly passed out a few weeks ago
This is the second horseman we lost the best of our time
Now we're just left with Same Harris. That's like taking George and John and leaving us with Paul and Ringo.
hi losing my faith has done more harm than good I have lost my soulmate of 31 years and this has robbed me of all my hope of ever being reunited with him
I support Daniel as an atheist but his arguments did not resonate with me like they did with Hitchens, Sam Harris and especially Brandon on "Mindshift".
