    Thank you for this very helpful video. I actually have a couple of questions, when do you know that the plant is ready for repotting? Does the size of the pot matter in relation to the plant?

    • @PlantNationMinh
      @PlantNationMinh  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Justyna,
      Thank you for watching and support. Great question! Begonia doesn't require much soil to grow. I would report if l see it root bound ( roots are growing through the drainage hole or no room left in the pot). I would tend to only go one pot size bigger to avoid issues of overwatering. The best time to repot in during Spring and Summer. Hope that helps you and Happy Begonia Gardening ❤

    How does dried edges of the leaf indicate overwatering? I have the same issue and I thought it meant that I was underwatering 😭

    • @PlantNationMinh
      @PlantNationMinh  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's about being consistant with the moisture in the soil. The two extremes ( underwater and overwater) can cause dried edge leaves. What happens is people leave the Begonia too dry and then thinking to compensate for then go the other extreme and overwater it so the soil ends up soggy. If the soil is dry and then just water until only the soil is moist it shouldn't be an issue. Hope that explains it! Happy Begonia Gardening ❤️

    • @PlantNationMinh

      Hi Elizabeth,
      Oh no sorry to hear that! The most common causes are overwatering, not enough light or fungus disease. Hope that helps. Happy Begonia Gardening ❤️

      Too much watering Elizabeth. Water them about once every 3 weeks. Give them a really big drink then let them completely dry out before you water again. They do not like self watering pots either

    Showing the pruning would’ve been helpful.

    • @PlantNationMinh

      Hi Carrie,
      Thanks for the suggestion to improve the video. Pruning is cutting the stems that is too long or stems that lack leaves at the lower part of the stem to encourage more leaves to grow in that lower area to create a bushier look. Each time l prune l cut every single stem and usually cut 1/3 of the stem.
      Happy Begonia Gardening ❤️
