Thanks for the video, Willy. I have a question if you don't mind. I live in Phuket, Thailand and at certain times of the year we get a nice break on local beaches and can body surf and boogie board. I am predominantly a body surfer and use my Dafins and have a blast. I want to get into boogie boarding more. I bought a used board off of a mate of mine and have tried to use it. I'm struggling truth be told. Typically I just miss the waves or get slammed going over the barrel. In watching your video it seems you are only kicking, not using arms. It is right? What are you looking for timing wise to start your run to catch the wave? How do you keep from just going straight down the face and catching the sideways line? Any tips you could give would be helpful. Thanks for the nice videos. Phil

Hey willy would love to see u tackle a few slabs in newcastle if u get the chance.. would be happy to show u round the different breaks .. im originally from the central coast but moved up north and know the area pretty well now.. there is some pretty shallow but really long reef breaks that stretch on in good conditions.. iv got some of the best waves of my life in the nobbys harbour and hope too show u my fav... The Spot, when workin iv had tripple barrels without tryin. I struggle to do 360s in try hard mode haha
Alot of times making a barrel is mind set.....don't hope you will come out, know you will come out.....the body follows the mind.....alot of times it looks like you give up once your inside

might be a while before mine sorry from amiture surf judge (grade 10 surf survival eg bronze medallion surfing class at school ) beginner body boarder. that's the thing first time surf in 10 years plus only body boarded a couple of times ever.40 now to makes it even harder to get out in it again winter 20 degrees out side.

If you ever want to catch a late take off you should push your board down to drop into the wave instead of getting pounded on top of the lip.
