Tlocke Surf Edits I’ve been doing it for 3 years and finally made it to the next round, last year lol. Great fun. Especially when surfing with legends. Wish they still had comps here in Hawaii.

Wow this takes me back. I lived on Cronulla Point for about 4 years in the mid to late 90's when I was in my late 20's to early 30's. I'd started body boarding in Coffs Harbour a few years previously. I surfed the point quite a lot, getting a few good waves when i could but it was always very competitive. I loved cabbage patch though.
I remember going out to Shark Island maybe no more than a dozen times, and my best memory was on a day like this. I took off about half way (white rock is it?), got barreled a bit then clipped my right knee on surge, but made it out. Lost a chunk out of my wet suit and knee but it was the best wave of my life.
I also remember being dragged across the rocks like one of your other videos where you hurt your knee.
Thanks for your honesty. It's amazing to have a wave like this in Sydney!

Ever venture down south bellambi sometimes has some good waves and lots of others Stanwell park on a crazy day is hectic
belambi goes to the left of the point where the reef is on the beach if you know what i mean.. but when the bombie is breaking and you get that big current you get some of the suckyest beach break waves

Mahalo for the view ,ive always wanted to go out at shark island ,probably wont ever get down under ,i too only entered one contest didnt move on but it was fun my friend was commentatating my rides i still remember it to this day. probabably 25 years ago Pyramid Rock on Marine base island of Oahu, Hawaii ,dont be like me, enter more contest aloha !!! Willy! what sized board does your buddy ride? im looking for a board but im a bit on the heavier side so i was wonder what he uses to shred. Thanks!
He rides a 41. He's a bit shorter and normally with his build you'd wanna use a 42+, but he prefers a shorter board because he likes the way it feels slotting into barrels. Ultimately it depends on the kind of waves you like to ride, how big they are and how you like to ride. I recommend before buying, do some board swaps with some friends when you are out in the surf and see how each board size feels so you can decide for yourself.
For example I'm a tall guy and ppl line me should ride a 42 (Hardy is same height and he rides 42 also). But I did a board swap with a friend who road a 40 and I got the best barrel of my life with it -- so I bought a 41 and am enjoying it.

Here's a tip buddy, rolls are easier than spins, just hit the lip and flip the board over ur head while ur body goes with it, try it, I guarantee u will get it quicker than spins, that's what we wanna see next vid, a nice big El Rollo...
