Bins Up and Calves Down!

- The rain delayed things a bit this week, but it ended with a bang. Two of the four bins are up and four new calves are down! :D Entering my favorite time of year around here. Mr and Mrs Lawrence, y'alls videos are so soothing to me,what I mean is,y'alls family living on and working the farm,just seeing the dogs,cows and from time to time, the wild animals, deer,the time y'all spend together working or just taking a break is amazing to me,it's like time passed by,remembering my life from years ago,fall is probably my most favorite time of year, spring,summer and winter,Y'all are such a joy to watch and learn from,may the Lord continue to bless you and your family.
Little tip if you do it again, bolt the first tie to the bin, then stand it up. It will be stable enough to stand up with one tractor. Have the other tie's lined up to land on.
It's always nice to have good neighbours
As an old Iowa farm, I'm guessing you don't have the winds we have here. Those bins would blow over and the tarp would blow off of the silo pit. Out here the pit cover is covered with tires over every square foot. It's nice watching the whole family do chores together.
Another great video. Farm work and events keep happening. Good to see the bins going up, that will give you much more flexibility. New crop of calves and mud season again. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. Stay safe and well. God bless you and your family.
Lawrence , it will be so much nicer having those bins closer to the farm . I think you have some of the nicest looking Angus cattle I’ve seen , they all look so healthy !

Meredith, you need to take some of the water out of your pool, there is a maximum fill level on those type pools and have split down the side when over flowing.

What a great video! We saw Austin run barefooted in the rain and two of the bins were erected. Your herd size has increased with the new calves. Enjoyed riding with y'all as you toured the farm. Meredith, that dog turned and looked at you as if to say "finders keepers." Thanks for sharing.

So much rain down there but the drought continues in southern Indiana. Over 6 weeks without a drop!

t davis hi and thank you! Gus goes with us to feed every morning. The girls have been in heat so we’ve had to keep them separated but they’ll all be back together again shortly. I promise he gets plenty of love. And sleeps right next to us on the floor in bedroom. 😉
You guys are always fighting the rain and all I do is pray for some here in Texas 😂. Hard to be a grass farmer when there is no rain for 6 weeks.

At 10:42 the look on Lawrance's face is what we in Scotland would call "crabbit" a.k.a grumpy, lol. spaceships look great.
It's 2" in 16 ' ! 4 , 1/2 makes 2 holes ! If your going to level them use 2" on the low side ,1 " in the middle ! Planks & boards . Meredith you make good videos , real life & it's fun to watch .

You are right Lawrence those timbers are the way to go alot cheaper than concrete and later if you want to remove it everything is easier to clean up

Wesley is a sweet kid who is eager to help. He is really learning to treat his Mama just like LB does. He talks ‘down’ to her just like LB. Someone needs to intervene or he will grow up disrespecting women and thinking they are stupid. He should not be allowed to just mumble answers to her questions. But he sees his Dad do it and he repeats the behavior.

Man, when you guys get rain, you really get rain. A lot different than we get up here. The tops of the grain bins look great! Even if no one else can see them, your subscribers and you know how good they look. As usual, another great video.

@ 3:10 Dad used to giggle every time one of us kids opened the "gate" and yipped, because we got zapped. I don't think he ever own one of those plastic handles that didn't 'leak' electricity.
When I painted the roof of my tin shed, I used an O'Cedar Angler, then the wife had to go buy a new kitchen broom! Yea, it worked great.

Use to be my favorite time of the year was cafing season. They so cute and funny to watch when there first born. I also remember having as much energy as sissy playing in that rain. Ah to be yping again, thank you as always for letting us be part of your family for a little while.😉
