I believe Omaha Orange is a GM color. GM's locomotive division (EMD) painted some of it's diesel engines that color from the factory. The Great Northern Railway's locomotives were Omaha Orange and green.

I could only read the first few words of the title on my phone "There was a surprise in my........" My first thought was fruitloops? 😂 Always nice find those pleasant surprises. Great shop cards too, going to check a couple of them out!

I noticed something about the numbers on the MCW paint bottles -- the first 2 (or 4 if post-2000) digits are the year that the actual color was introduced. For example, Plum Crazy 7051E is from 1970, Tropical Rose 5531E is from 1955, Area 51 201430E is from 2014, and so on. Generic colors obviously don't follow the same rules, but they are probably numbered in a way that indicates that they aren't specific to a particular year or manufacturer. Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if the 3rd digit indicates whether it's Ford, GM, etc... Point is, the numbers are not random, they're a code and they mean something.

Yea I like that nice orange with a little red in it also, think a car company used to paint some of the best engines ever produced in that color cause we all know blue slows down the rotating mass of the internal parts of an engine 🤣🤣🤣🤣, just had to pick on you for being a ford guy lol

I need to try that Green Stuff Chrome. I recently used the Krylon rattle can and it's beautiful, but it seems to have remained just slightly tacky feeling even after a few weeks. Kind of odd. Peace and love.
