Great teardown video! Do you know which thermal paste/pad should we get for this laptop?

i have same laptop. i will upgrade my RAMs and also will renew my thermal paste on cpu. Do i need to remove\disconnect battery before those steps?

It is not "mandatory" to disconnect the battery (and removing is obviously not needed). Disconnecting is only for safety reasons to discharge completely the motherboard just to avoid any short circuit if you insert the new RAM modules for example. Same with the thermal paste, since you are going to remove the copper heat pipes, where accidentally you can cause short something. I did many times these tasks without disconnecting the battery, but for those who are not experienced enough, my advise is to disconnect it during these procedures.

Looking at buying one of these. I also would want to add an M.2 SSD in that second slot - 2TB or more. Did you notice if this model has built in cooling for the M.2 SSD or would a thin M.2 SSD heatsink fit without compromising the case?
Thanks for the strip down video and any thoughts / advice you can impart.

Hello @makeitechreviews i have this laptop planning to upgrade (4 tb hdd SATA, Form Factor: 2.5 Inch)
is it compatible for sata hdds?

Not sure if it will fit due to height limitations. Usually, anything above 2TB (HDD only) is not 9mm thick, but 12 or bigger. If I were you I rather search for a 4TB 2.5 SSD. It is "not as" expensive as it used to be, but way faster.

Why removing battery? You already disconnected it...
