Hi Amie! I have a hack for the black Manolos! I too have the 2-tone chanels and the heel strap slips off my heel, so...I took one of those clear sticky rubber heal inserts you pop in the back of shoes to stop the heels slipping, but, I cut a little thin strip the thickness of the Chanel strap, used a little bit of super glue, and bam! Strap no longer slips off! I think its either that the rubber grip just fills that extra gap I obviously had hence them slipping and also provides actual grip with my skin. You’re welcome 😊 Alison x
Yes! Love Chanel for the most part but some of their stuff including those two tone shoes are definitely frumpy old lady 😩 even their massive flap bags give me that vibe. I recently missed out on some gorgeous white and black sneakers though that were very modern and on trend.
I love my nylon Christian Dior belt! I think the "CD" is just big enough to make a statement, but not huge like the Gucci belt. They also make it in leather but both styles are thinner than the Gucci belt.
I am so surprised about the Chanel slingbacks, I absolutely love them, I usually wear them with jeans and they elevate the casual look so much. I am considering getting the pink version as well. I also love the Loulou bag, i am 5’10 and had no issues with it 🤗
You can have links added to your Loulou strap. For the slingbacks, a skilled cobbler can tailor the fit, or you can put fashion tape either on the strap or heel to keep your foot secure. Ferragamo makes wonderful belts.

I have the YSL belt with the vertical logo. The logo is a good size and not too “in your face” like the Gucci one. I think you’ll love it especially since you have a lot of YSL bags as well.
I've thought about the Saint Laurent belt but I'm concerned it's going to be too matchy-matchy because so many of my bags are Saint Laurent :/ I do love it though so I may have to try it on with a YSL logo bag!
I have the same issue with my Manolo kitten heel slingbacks -- can barely take a couple steps without the strap coming off. I believe that unless the slingback strap is attached to the front part of the shoe (ie. Chanels) as opposed to it being attached to the sole, this will always be a problem.
I’ve never tried this, but I just had an idea: try some double-sided fashion tape on the kitten heels to help keep the strap on your ankle. If you cut it thin enough, it shouldn’t show. See if that helps!
what you need for those sling backs are little adhesive gel cushions like the bigger ones you can use behind the heel when shoes are just a bit too big or slip off. they make really skinny cushions for straps on shoes that rub, but i’ve used them to help straps stay in place too!
For a slippery sling back, use a silicone backing. It won’t ruin the shoe and it’ll grip your heel a lot better. The silicone will help it grip your heel better and it’s washable so it’s reusable.

I love my Salvatore Ferragamo reversible belt! I feel like it’s very subtle and I wear it out when I don’t feel like wearing something as loud as the Gucci belt.
Considering jeans can go so well with Chanel cap toes which is a fleet as some shoes just doesn’t go well with jeans. Personally I love the Chanel cap toes and doesn’t look frumpy or for old ladies. Though they used to be made of Nappa now just calfskin

Hi Amie I own Dior Chanel Ferragamo and Hermès my advice to you is to invest in Hermès belts like Chanel bags they will last forever start with a gold buckle with the black and brown/camel color then get the silver buckle with white/red leather now you have many options to style it with and another tip get the size to fit your hips and have them punch wholes to fit your waist!
Foot pedal strappy strips helped me with my sling backs. I have the same issue, I think my achilles Heel isn’t curved enough. The straps do work and you shoes stay on! But you will have to replace them after like 1-2 wears. They are about $6 for 8 strips. X
The chanel pointed two tone mules with the pearl on the heel is very comfy n is gorgeous with any outfit. I have to consciously stop myself from wearing it coz i wanna keep it looking new as long as i can. It elongates ur legs. Regarding the beige two tone slingback, its painful to wear. Also my regret. I purchased a rounded front two tone mules with the chanel chain in red. Also very nice. I think we avoid the slingbacks..

I would sell the Prada Pannier wicker bag. You’d get more money for it now rather than later. If you feel that way about the bag now, a different outfit won’t make it feel or look less bulky.
My husband bought me the Gucci 1973 logo belt for Christmas at Bicester, it’s reversible which I love (red/black) and the logo is so subtle. I’ve only seen one other and my 9 year old son chose it over the GG style x

I've been considering the Ferragamo belt. I think it would be brilliant with dresses. Just one woman's opinion but I really dislike all other luxury belts. With their flashy, prominent emblems I think they look tacky, showy, trendy, and just something you're guaranteed to get tired of. Every time I see an Hermes belt, it immediately pulls my eye in. In the case with belts, I actually think that's a bad thing. I still love luxury bags and quality items, but I think you're better off buying a well made leather belt in a classic style that won't ever feel tired.
Hi Amy, I really like the new Givenchy belts. They are not completely "in your face" and don't have initials on them but they still look very high quality, luxurious, sophisticated and chic.
For your slingbacks, check out the Foot Petals Strappy Strips (or something like them). I have a pair of Everlane editor flats that were doing the same thing and these strips took care of it.
Just bought the medium LouLou. I already am feeling the same way. Also, the way the grommets are set up makes it slightly difficult to get in the back section. Love your videos!💕⭐️
You've been getting into YSL a lot in last year or so? I know you've said you didn't have any quality issue on your YSL woc large size.. is that the case still now you own number of them? I want to get YSL large woc as well but i see way too many leather chils on the corners and all over. Do their qualities still hold?
i use a callous felt pad on the slinkback to get a snug fit on the slingback. it kinda helps. Yea i too stopped w slingbacks. also because my heels is often so dry!
I have very skinny/bony feet so I have same issue with slingbacks. My hack is using non exposure tapes from 3M. It’s just thin strips of double sided tapes. It works well to keep the slings in place for a day. The only downside is the tape deteriorates the inside of the sling a little bit (if they’re made of leather). To me, it’s still better than wasting a pair of shoes. Hope this helps! ;)
This was so interesting! I believe I've recommended Ferragamo belts before and you didn't love them but perhaps now you;ll change your mind since the Gucci one isn't working out! I also feel the same way with Chanel two tone shoes. I love the look of them on the shelf and the idea of them with outfits but I never actually like them styled!

Agree. You should give your Prada bag another chance, but not with a dress that makes you look like you're going to meet Dorothy in Oz. Regarding the Chanel shoes, check Pinterest. They have some very good ideas. However, I'm not sure the styles shown are your style, but you may get some deals.
Louis Vuitton has some gorgeous belts at the moment. A similar belt to the Gucci one but a better one in my opinion in terms of price point, is the Moschino skinny belt.
Do you know the top quality belts among brand name is Gucci. The Logo scream out to the face. But if I have money to buy I would not mind the screaming. You spend money for it for the pride to own luxury. However I own the Gucci tiger belt that I got tons of compliments every time wearing it. It should last a lifetime I can tell. LV lately have many complaint reviews on defected products. Heard nothing about Gucci except prices are too high.
I still have my Moschino belt I purchased in 1997. It’s practically vintage. Sadly it doesn’t fit me anymore but I’m still holding out hope it will fit me again.

I didn’t expect the Nude Lou Lou bag and Chanel slingbacks to be here. I’ve been eyeing those for a while. I need to consider how the Lou Lou bag would wear on me especially since I’m close to Amie’s height.
Try a product called strappy strips. They are little rubberized strips that glue on and grip on the strap. You can order them in black so you cant see them. The are made by the company foot petal.
Frumpy describes those shoes to a t . A cobbler might be able to add little silicone dots or similar to the strap of your sling backs to help them grip your heel .
I really recommend salvatore ferragamo belts. For some reason I haven't been able to get into YSL as a brand. I think their stuff looks beautiful but when I hold them and feel them, they don't seem as luxe as other high end brands to justify the cost.
My disappointing purchase of 2019 is the Chanel cc low trainers in all black. I do love them but...I think the quality is average at best. I have worn them a handful of times and they just looked very worn whereas any LV trainers I have look new with far more wear!

Same reason why i sold my ysl loulou. I didn’t think abt the problem of squishing it too much but yes it was just too puffy n bulky. Also prefer the drop length of chanel jumbo. With the Loulou it was difficulty to get anything from the bag when worn on the shoulder
Oh, no. I had just bought the YSL Mini Lou in black/silver, using our SSENSE code. It's had great reviews on TH-cam compared to the Gucci Soho, so I passed the Soho for the Mini Lou. I've yet to use it since we're stuck at home, but I'm sad to see it's in your disappointments...
Hi Amie, what size is your marmont bag? In considering purchasing a mini size pre owned if I can find one in good condition. Also Hermes belts may suit you? Although I confess I bought one and wore it once. It doesn’t seem to suit the jeans I wear. And I was annoyed I scratched the H plate with my ring 🤦♀️
I have a pair of Louboutin slingback pumps, and there is a small elastic sewn into the lining of the strap to keep it in place. Perhaps a cobbler can do the same for your Manolos. There is nothing more irritating than the strap slipping down!!

Not sure but I may have a solution to fix your sliding manolo strap...but it may change the look of the shoe. What I did in a past I bought a suede looking ribbon and attached it to the back of that strap in the middle and then just wrapped around my ankle, so the strap stay in put and I like the look. I ALSO love YSL ,but I never pay full price knowing they always go in sale:) Small Dior belt is my favorite, try it!

YSL Tribute patent heels in red - most of my wardrobe is already colourful so they were a bit much to wear. Also, the patent finish needed a lot of care. Eventually sold the pair after only 3 short uses. Lesson Learned
I bought exactly same colour like your medium lou lou . I felt the same about the bag . And one thing to mention cause it doesn't has feet . Each time I put it down it slouch and not comfortable to wear cross body. I think small size is much better.
Thank you for the feedback on the durability of the YSL camera bag, I’ve been eyeing this bag so very helpful. One thing I like YSL is some of the bags have shorter straps (compared to say Chanel). I’m very short and not thin so where a bag falls on me can be very unflattering if too long.
What about the Gucci Zumi quilted belt. To me it is a mesh of the gg and horsebite designand is more understated unless you know the brand. The quilting just adds a more feminine elegant touch. I love and wear mine all the time

I understand what you mean about the Lou Lou medium. If they made the stripe the same length as the jumbo it would be perfect. I ended up get the Lou Lou in the small because of the strap. I always try on the bags before I purchase. Unless it’s what I love I walk away. I keep trying on a jumbo and the double flap is a pain. So I purchased the Trendy instead. Very happy with it so far. The Ferragamo belt gets my vote. Slimmer, reversible (so you get 2 belt strap colours to wear with) and the logo is not too in-your-face
You can get the elastic on the shoe shortened so they fit better, I did that for one of my sling backs at a shoe repair place.

For your slingbacks, check out the Foot Petals Strappy Strips (or something like them). I have a pair of Everlane editor flats that were doing the same thing and these strips took care of it.
Just bought the medium LouLou. I already am feeling the same way. Also, the way the grommets are set up makes it slightly difficult to get in the back section. Love your videos!💕⭐️

You've been getting into YSL a lot in last year or so? I know you've said you didn't have any quality issue on your YSL woc large size.. is that the case still now you own number of them? I want to get YSL large woc as well but i see way too many leather chils on the corners and all over. Do their qualities still hold?
i use a callous felt pad on the slinkback to get a snug fit on the slingback. it kinda helps. Yea i too stopped w slingbacks. also because my heels is often so dry!
For the belt, kelly belt looks gorgeous. The simple buckle is chic n classy. It's also adjustable for waist & hip.
The strap length on the YSL makes it short girl friendly. I love it!
I have very skinny/bony feet so I have same issue with slingbacks. My hack is using non exposure tapes from 3M. It’s just thin strips of double sided tapes. It works well to keep the slings in place for a day. The only downside is the tape deteriorates the inside of the sling a little bit (if they’re made of leather). To me, it’s still better than wasting a pair of shoes. Hope this helps! ;)
This was so interesting! I believe I've recommended Ferragamo belts before and you didn't love them but perhaps now you;ll change your mind since the Gucci one isn't working out! I also feel the same way with Chanel two tone shoes. I love the look of them on the shelf and the idea of them with outfits but I never actually like them styled!

I love my lou lou it's so beautiful. I find the clip very hard to close sometimes which I find a little annoying. I find it a bit frustrating to get in and out of. I do love how it looks though.
Agree. You should give your Prada bag another chance, but not with a dress that makes you look like you're going to meet Dorothy in Oz. Regarding the Chanel shoes, check Pinterest. They have some very good ideas. However, I'm not sure the styles shown are your style, but you may get some deals.
I have issues with slingbacks in general, you may need to add a gel strip to the back strap so it may "grip" to your foot.
Louis Vuitton has some gorgeous belts at the moment. A similar belt to the Gucci one but a better one in my opinion in terms of price point, is the Moschino skinny belt.
Do you know the top quality belts among brand name is Gucci. The Logo scream out to the face. But if I have money to buy I would not mind the screaming. You spend money for it for the pride to own luxury. However I own the Gucci tiger belt that I got tons of compliments every time wearing it. It should last a lifetime I can tell. LV lately have many complaint reviews on defected products. Heard nothing about Gucci except prices are too high.
I still have my Moschino belt I purchased in 1997. It’s practically vintage. Sadly it doesn’t fit me anymore but I’m still holding out hope it will fit me again.

Try a product called strappy strips. They are little rubberized strips that glue on and grip on the strap. You can order them in black so you cant see them. The are made by the company foot petal.

A cobbler might be able to add little silicone dots or similar to the strap of your sling backs to help them grip your heel .
I really recommend salvatore ferragamo belts. For some reason I haven't been able to get into YSL as a brand. I think their stuff looks beautiful but when I hold them and feel them, they don't seem as luxe as other high end brands to justify the cost.
My disappointing purchase of 2019 is the Chanel cc low trainers in all black. I do love them but...I think the quality is average at best. I have worn them a handful of times and they just looked very worn whereas any LV trainers I have look new with far more wear!

check out the Givenchy belt with the G logo buckle which is much more elegent but still regonisable, 3cm is a perfect size for me

I love the Salvatore Ferragamo belt. It's a bit thinner like you mentioned you are looking for, and a pretty good price point.
How about a Hermes belt? I have a Manolo kitten heel sling back in nude colour, I have not found an occasion to wear it yet. I just hope it doesn’t do that to me. I completely understand your frustration with YSL shoulder strap, I can be very fussy about particular things like that. As always, I always love our videos. ❤️

The YSL belt where the logo is where the loop on the belt is. It's not too big so it's perfect!
Same reason why i sold my ysl loulou. I didn’t think abt the problem of squishing it too much but yes it was just too puffy n bulky. Also prefer the drop length of chanel jumbo. With the Loulou it was difficulty to get anything from the bag when worn on the shoulder
I think it's the elbow rest that makes the jumbo way more comfy! But yeah, accessing the loulou isn't so easy because of the height for sure :/
Oh, no. I had just bought the YSL Mini Lou in black/silver, using our SSENSE code. It's had great reviews on TH-cam compared to the Gucci Soho, so I passed the Soho for the Mini Lou. I've yet to use it since we're stuck at home, but I'm sad to see it's in your disappointments...
Use fashion tape for the kitten heels, it’s gentle enough not to cause damage yet it will ad some grip

Also Hermes belts may suit you? Although I confess I bought one and wore it once. It doesn’t seem to suit the jeans I wear. And I was annoyed I scratched the H plate with my ring 🤦♀️
I have a pair of Louboutin slingback pumps, and there is a small elastic sewn into the lining of the strap to keep it in place. Perhaps a cobbler can do the same for your Manolos. There is nothing more irritating than the strap slipping down!!

Interesting about the ysl camera bag. I love mine and it’s fits heaps. I’m very happy with it but yeh I wouldn’t of gotten white. What a shame you aren’t happy with it
Not sure but I may have a solution to fix your sliding manolo strap...but it may change the look of the shoe. What I did in a past I bought a suede looking ribbon and attached it to the back of that strap in the middle and then just wrapped around my ankle, so the strap stay in put and I like the look. I ALSO love YSL ,but I never pay full price knowing they always go in sale:) Small Dior belt is my favorite, try it!
I have A Louis Vuitton belt in 30 mm Black epi leather with a lv logo in both gold at silver so you Can teem it with both silver and gold jewlerys. I love it and use it all the time
YSL Tribute patent heels in red - most of my wardrobe is already colourful so they were a bit much to wear. Also, the patent finish needed a lot of care. Eventually sold the pair after only 3 short uses. Lesson Learned
I have bad luck with YSL. Sold my YSL bags and left just the SLGs. I'll try and give it a go soon *fingers crossed*

I bought exactly same colour like your medium lou lou . I felt the same about the bag . And one thing to mention cause it doesn't has feet . Each time I put it down it slouch and not comfortable to wear cross body. I think small size is much better.

Thank you for the feedback on the durability of the YSL camera bag, I’ve been eyeing this bag so very helpful. One thing I like YSL is some of the bags have shorter straps (compared to say Chanel). I’m very short and not thin so where a bag falls on me can be very unflattering if too long.
What about the Gucci Zumi quilted belt. To me it is a mesh of the gg and horsebite designand is more understated unless you know the brand. The quilting just adds a more feminine elegant touch. I love and wear mine all the time

I understand what you mean about the Lou Lou medium. If they made the stripe the same length as the jumbo it would be perfect. I ended up get the Lou Lou in the small because of the strap. I always try on the bags before I purchase. Unless it’s what I love I walk away. I keep trying on a jumbo and the double flap is a pain. So I purchased the Trendy instead. Very happy with it so far.
