Yes the mini lady Dior is a dressy bag, and you clip the strap on the outside of the handles to prevent the handles from flopping out. I actually find it very practical and durable. Hope you use it a bit more and find more uses for it.

Also, the chain/strap hooks are supposed to go on both sides of the bag, similar to how you have it in the first mod shot, Amie, but just make sure the hooks are each on the outside.
Yes Anna, that's how we have to attach the strap to keep the handles standing. I suppose the lady Dior is supposedly designed to be hand-held, or carried at the arm, just like how Princess Diana carried it. Despite this minor con, I love the statement look, and it's a gorgeous bag.
I love the Mini Dior. Just a tip, when you attach the strap you have to clip it on the outside, not the inside so it keeps the two handles in place as much as possible. Hope that helps

I have a Mulberry WOC, worn in to death and it still looks like completely new! I adore it. It fit so much! I took it to Dior boutique to compare to Diorama woc and it fitted twice as much, so I have decided not to buy a Dior bag. Totally agree, this bag is amazing.
I have the mini Lady Dior and mine fits a ton of things. I have been able to fit everything from a long champ bag into the mini lady Dior! I love it! Also, the straps are supposed to be hooked on the outside so that the handles stay up :)
I so agree with you about the mini Lady Dior! I have it in black, and I think it’s great for a going out evening bag when practicality isn’t important. But I have to say that I still love it and wouldn’t get rid of it. Of course right now with the coronavirus situation, there’s no opportunity to wear it... 💔

Hi Amie. In your try on for the lady dior, i saw u attach your strap in the inner part of your handle, that’s why the back handle it’s not sitting comfortably. What i do is i clip the strap to the outer part, both front and back, so when u wear it crossbody, the strap kinds of hold both handle :)
Hi Amie! For the mini lady Dior I think u r supposed to attach the strap to the outer part of the rings such that they kind of block the handles from falling when u wear it. Currently I see u’ve been attaching the straps inside the handles and that’s why the handles flop about. Don’t know how well I’m explaining this but hope it helps! I love, love, love the Mulberry Darley. I haven't been sold with a lot of recent Mulberry designs, but the Darley line is just so pretty. That pink is also gorgeous! It's so girly. I have the Darley Satchel, which is more casual, but you're right in that Mulberry thinks of the function a lot more. With Mulberry, I feel like my purchases aren't so excessive.
Very informative video. I had a different experience with mini Lady Dior. It is one of my most used bags in spring-summer time (due to the colour choice I use it less in winter). I clip the strap on the outside of the handles and I never had any issues with handles. My strap is a leather one though, not sure if that helps but it's very comfortable to wear crossbody and handles stay in place at all times. Try different straps with it - maybe it would help.

With regard to the YSL wallet, I would recommend trying the zipped card case instead. It still has card slots, a bill fold and a coin section but it’s less bulky and a much more purse friendly price. I have mine in the dark grape colour and I adore it. It was stiff at first but it loosened up really quickly x

I wanted the darley but seeing it was very similar to Mulberry's bayswater clutch (which I own) I didn't go for it. The color you have here is so pretty! I very much agree with the mini lady dior. I have the same color. My husband bought it over a year ago for me, but I have hardly used it. The lambskin is very delicate and it was the first and only bag I ever got color transfer on from a dress! I love the LV victorine wallet and I also have it in the same red color! Looks like we have a lot of matching items :)

You should look at the Monogram Zippered two-part wallet, it's under Card Cases. I have that one and I just love it. It's has pretty much everything the Victorine does but it opens like a book instead of a envelope (if that makes sense). The sad thing is that it only comes in a few colours, and right now I think black is the only available one one the YSL website...

I know this is an older video but you do the best reviews of anyone on TH-cam, in my opinion. I have a white mini Lady Dior and I agree with you on every single point, especially the final point. It's impractical and annoying to carry, but gorgeous, so I forgive it of all its sins. lol. I would note that it also tips over for me because of the weight of the chain (which is my biggest pet peeve), but it's forgiven because my heart skips a beat when I look at her. Thanks Amie!

When I saw that you bought the mini Lady Dior I thought, what was she thinking? The last time I was in Dior the SA I was talking to very quietly agreed with me that it was ridiculous. He said that his wife agreed too and said that it's only any good if you have a husband who is willing to carry half your stuff when you go out. That made me laugh. He said that if you want value for money and a bag you will still be wearing in 20 or 30 years then forget the tiny gimmicky ones and go for the medium or the small.
Yeah i guess i agree with you in terms of looking at myself wearing it in the next 20 years. Probably it won't suits me anymore as I wear it now. And it is not a cheap bag so always think how long it going to stay in my wardrobe!
It really depends on what you carry. 95% of my bags are this size or smaller, I only like to carry my phone, my cardholder and my keys. Maybe a chapstick too, so this is perfect for me.

The straps need to be on the outside, connected opposite to each other on the outside, it will keep the handles straight up. I have a small raspberry pink and have been stopping myself from getting this beauty, the small my lady is the perfect size but, I am definitely craving this beautiful color. Hopefully this color will eventually come on the small or medium in U.S. Otherwise I will have to treat myself and forget about practicality.

I've found that the chain on my Mulberry Darley can dig in and it's a little too deep to carry as a clutch but I love the look and agree that the depth makes it great for really fitting everything you need for a night out. I still recommend it! The mini Lady Dior is beautiful! I have the classic size and always loved the look of the mini but I figured I wouldn't get that much use out of it for all the reasons you mentioned!

I almost got the same Mini Lady Dior but realized how impractical it is and decided against it. However I couldn't stop thinking about the Lady Dior afterwards, so I ended up purchasing a scarlet My Lady Dior (the small size between mini and medium) and I love it! Because the My Lady Dior is wider than the Mini, the flap is easier to maneuver. It fits a little more than my Chanel rectangular mini, which is more than enough for my essentials. the strap is also full-leather, so it's more lightweight than the chain strap and very comfortable to wear. The lambskin is pretty delicate though--about the same as my Chanel Trendy CC--so I avoid taking it with me to crowded areas. If only they had a My Lady Dior that's in that pearlescent pink color!

Got a Saint Laurent Wallet too, very durable though it's really bulky. Have been using it for over 4 years and got hardly any wear (except at the edge). It can contain many cards and receipts in the zip compartment. So far I can't find any other compact wallet as good as the Saint Laurent one.

I wanted a quilted Chanel but accepted yesterday (for some reason) that I don't think I'll ever be in a position to get one. I decided to look at what bag I should aspire for instead. I like the Gucci Marmont mini camera bag and super Mini bag. I decided to look at TH-cam videos to decide which one. I was watching videos from the search results and as soon as I watched your video I hit subscribe and I'm binge watching your videos! Now I definitely want the YSL uptown clutch. And I plan on getting the Chanel flap coin purse (since I doubt I will ever own a chanel bag. I really want SOMETHING Chanel and it's in my price range. And looks like a mini classic quilted bag. I also need a wallet. I've just been using the free plastic card holder they gave me when I bought my bus/train card). I really want the Chanel WOC now, but even that is sooooo exxy 😭.

The lady Dior in medium is a lot more user friendly. Has a zipper vs the flap.

The My Lady Dior size is much better. The mini is an evening bag in my opinion. The MLD is more of a small mini bag.

When you are wearing the bag crossbody to attach the strap it goes on opposite corners of the bag and on the outside that way the handles stay up

I have a small raspberry pink and have been stopping myself from getting this beauty, the small my lady is the perfect size but, I am definitely craving this beautiful color. Hopefully this color will eventually come on the small or medium in U.S. Otherwise I will have to treat myself and forget about practicality.

I've found that the chain on my Mulberry Darley can dig in and it's a little too deep to carry as a clutch but I love the look and agree that the depth makes it great for really fitting everything you need for a night out. I still recommend it! The mini Lady Dior is beautiful! I have the classic size and always loved the look of the mini but I figured I wouldn't get that much use out of it for all the reasons you mentioned!

I almost got the same Mini Lady Dior but realized how impractical it is and decided against it. However I couldn't stop thinking about the Lady Dior afterwards, so I ended up purchasing a scarlet My Lady Dior (the small size between mini and medium) and I love it!
Because the My Lady Dior is wider than the Mini, the flap is easier to maneuver. It fits a little more than my Chanel rectangular mini, which is more than enough for my essentials. the strap is also full-leather, so it's more lightweight than the chain strap and very comfortable to wear. The lambskin is pretty delicate though--about the same as my Chanel Trendy CC--so I avoid taking it with me to crowded areas. If only they had a My Lady Dior that's in that pearlescent pink color!

omomuro i was wondering why Amy does not love her lady Dior when I adore mine - I then realized I have the small my lady Dior as well! Especially since I am tall I consider it a mini bag. That one is great - and yes I can see how even smaller and with a chain that could decrease the user friendliness

Got a Saint Laurent Wallet too, very durable though it's really bulky. Have been using it for over 4 years and got hardly any wear (except at the edge). It can contain many cards and receipts in the zip compartment. So far I can't find any other compact wallet as good as the Saint Laurent one.

I only discovered it yesterday. I don't own any luxury items but Ive always wanted a designer bag before I die lol. I wanted a quilted Chanel but accepted yesterday (for some reason) that I don't think I'll ever be in a position to get one. I decided to look at what bag I should aspire for instead. I like the Gucci Marmont mini camera bag and super Mini bag. I decided to look at TH-cam videos to decide which one. I was watching videos from the search results and as soon as I watched your video I hit subscribe and I'm binge watching your videos!
Now I definitely want the YSL uptown clutch. And I plan on getting the Chanel flap coin purse (since I doubt I will ever own a chanel bag. I really want SOMETHING Chanel and it's in my price range. And looks like a mini classic quilted bag. I also need a wallet. I've just been using the free plastic card holder they gave me when I bought my bus/train card).
I really want the Chanel WOC now, but even that is sooooo exxy 😭.

I bought the Saint Laurent wallet too but in the black. It's beautiful, but I agree that it's not very efficient given its size. I should have gone with the LV as it was my other option 🤦🏻♀️
