- For longer than 30 years, famed radio host Delilah has been inspiring, comforting and entertaining listeners across the country with her syndicated eponymous show. But the mother of 13 has faced tragedy as well: In 2012, she lost son Sammy to complications from sickle cell anemia, and in 2017, she revealed son Zachariah died by suicide. Delilah, who opens up about her life in her new book, “One Heart at a Time,” sits down with Megyn Kelly.

Delilah is an ANGEL! 20 years ago I was so lost in life and she saved me. I reached out to thank her and she responded, I was so happy. Sending so much love to her on the loss of her babies. TY God for Delilah!!! Great story/show!!!!
Her voice is the most calming voice ive ever heard in my life
Ive listened to her for as long as i can remeber. When her son killed himself i literally sobbed for her. She is always helping people, always inspiring people who call in at their low moments. I was broken for her. Shes beautiful, ive never seen her before.

I am from Chicago and I remember when I was in grammar school turning on the radio at nights before going to bed and listening to her. When I didn't feel good about myself, she would make me feel better and gave me hope. I use to love hearing the love stories and crying in bed, thinking when will that happen to me.
So good to put a face behind the unique voice. God is amazing how he uses people in their everyday work and life to touch people. You are beautiful inside and out Delilah. Prayers for your healing process of losing your child. 😥God Bless you and your family. 🙏

Delilah invited me to her studio when she worked in Boston to play some music while she read scriptures from the Bible. I was such a young punk back then. Looking back I wish I had been more respectful and honored.

I would be lost without Delilah. like an angel she is there during those late night drives where it's just me my thoughts, my fears and my tears. I turn on WISH FM and there she is to see (talk) me through it all and it helps me every time. ❤

Delilah is an amazing woman who helped me get through the hour and a half drive at 10:15 -11:30 pm while I was taking Masters degree classes to add another endorsement to my teaching degree after getting up each morning at 5:30 am to get ready to go to work as the library/ media center teacher and school tech expert which meant that I was extremely busy from the second I stepped out of my car in the school parking lot. I taught 6 classes each day while also doing the library management work that’s never ending. Because someone at the administrative level of the school system found out that I had an advanced level of knowledge and skills in the area of technology and computer software it was decided that I should be the head of all things technology for the primary elementary school where I worked and I was basically expected to do 2 full time jobs while only being paid for a part time position while driving 3 hours round trip twice a week to take the classes needed to keep my job . Listening to her each night helped keep me awake while driving home after a 3-4 hours worth of classes. She made you feel like you were spending time with one of your best friends. Sadly we can’t find her station where we live since we moved to a different state for better paying full time teaching positions that allowed us to move closer to my side of the family.
When traveling for his job, Delilah kept my husband company! Thank you!
As a kid I always imagined her looking like Linda Carter (Wonder Woman).
My parents always listened to her when i was little i love her voice it was always so comfortable listening to her. I also still listen from time to time when i get the chance.
In 2012, while in high school, I worked at Dollar General and at night she would come on the radio. And I always thought her voice was so beautiful. Always wondered what she looked like but there was a part of me that just like the 'mysteriousness' (is that even a word) of it all. She is beautiful and strong and it's really amazing how she adopted so many kids. What an incredible woman.

I love that I can say I live in WA like Delilah.
She is amazing, kind, sweet, and has a voice that is calming. My heart breaks every time I think of her son committing suicide. I have a son who after a very bad divorce while I was sick went to live with his father. I pray almost every day that he will be returned to me.
I also pray for Delilah. I would love to meet her one day.

You know I did picture as a blonde. I do love her show. I remember listening to her off and on for the last 30 years. She was always a companion on my way home from church choir practice on Tuesday nights when I was pregnant with my first child and then her show changed stations and I always seem to find her when I need to hear her uplifting voice and love. I never realized she had that much love in her heart! What a great role model for people in general. "One Heart At a Time" very apt.
Never heard of her before but boy, did this brighten my day. She seems to have a very big heart that even broken furniture cannot escape. Perhaps, her life experiences have given her this heart that reaches out. I wish her, her husband and family the very best.
Which husband? 1st? 2nd? 3rd? 4th? Very sorry for her losses, but something is wrong when you go through so many guys, your kid kills himself.Very tragic and hope she's turning things around.

I have been listening to her since I was in high school. I wanted nothing else on my radio when I was doing my homework and trying to fall asleep at night. What an amazing person and spirit!! She has done more than she will ever realize for the people around her!

Also- I remember being like 12-16 and listening to her. First in my Dads car when he used to drop me off at my Moms after our weekend with him. And then when I was driving around aimlessly as a teenager trying to figure out who I was and if I had any friends. Either way, just listening her her voice honestly brings up emotion! Her voice resonates and is so loving and calming.

Gorgeous woman inside and out God has a special place in heaven for you such a exceptionally good person I've listened to you many years before and after my mom's 7and a half year cancer diagnosis and her death ,and through my ongoing illness and my only child my daughter leaving me because I got sick and she got on drugs and I haven't seen her in 13 years thank you for being who you are delilah i knew there had to be a beautiful awesome person behind that voice and that wonderful 💓PS .so sorry for the loss of your baby's but you will see them again in a much better place than this.
I love this woman,I used to listen to her every night when I was living in New York City,and work a night job cleaning bus shelters. I miss listening to her,she motivates me. I didn't remember her name and I did a google search for her. She's amazing.

I discovered Delilah back in 2001 when my husband and I were driving from Texas to Canada. Every evening I would search for her as we were driving along. Sadly she is not syndicated in my area.

I sure do miss her show. Listened to it on night shift for several years. Then I go and mess my marriage up. Been single now for 11 years and never could get her back. What a great woman
I like her. I’m an atheist but we have similar life beliefs and attitudes. Politicians won’t make the world better but we still have to educate ourselves and vote for those that won’t make it worse (oligarchs and warmongers) and protect basic human rights. You have to do your part and complaining doesn’t count. This woman walks the walk.
