Crossbone Skully debut was released too! If you haven’t check em out you should. I’d say they have an AC/DC - Alice Cooper sound to them. Very good album!
Motley needs to do something with 94 , like get Corabi back and play it in its entirety. I was in the 6th grade when Feelgood came out , and was an intense Crue Head . It was the crest with Vince , they got “clean” and healthy , they were clicking like a Jag on 12 Cylinders . The Decade thing was cool with Angela and Anarchy and Primal , but then it really sorta ended. It’s been sorta like watching re runs of your favorite show since ..
Glad you like but you understand they played clubs with that album plus many concerts were canceled hours ahead of happening. At least King Diamond cancels his weeks ahead.
Shok Paris had a song (“On Your Feet”) in the ‘80s sci-fi movie ‘The Hidden.’ Both the song and movie are awesome. I’ll definitely be checking out the re-release from them. THX, Brendon!
That's the problem with all the remasters, less dynamic range, making them seem louder. They push everything to the limit, which just makes everything worse sonically. If you look at the audio waveforms of music since about 1995, all the tracks are pushed to the top and bottom of the form, causing audio clipping. Of course, most people listen to subpar digital formats and/or through cheap speakers, headphones, earbuds, or God forbid phone speaker(s). These Crue albums have all been reissued and remastered several times. I don't understand the need to do it again. Maybe, they are better sonically, but I cannot imagine that's true. That's just not how things work these days. Talk to any audio engineer.
Opeth is the benchmark for musicianship in metal! Their catalog is mighty impressive, to say the least. I put them up there with the all time greats in rock music - Zep, Sabbath, Maiden, Rush, Deep Purple...
Hey Brendon…I watch a lot of your content and thanks for the efforts. Really appreciate you mentioning Opeth but this is where I would highly encourage you to keep exploring bands you don’t know. I have heard you say that you don’t like growling vocals and I get that but don’t dilute Opeth into that category. They are one of the best progressive bands going and at the very least you should spend time with them to form a fulsome opinion. You strike me as a highly curious guy and think this could be a good topic or series for you. Viewer recommended picks where you commit to a few records for a month and provide your assessment. Think about it sir. Love the passion!
Sunstorm, will check that one out for sure. Am with you on the UFO release, would have been nice for a remastered album. Saying that though, I’ll be happy with that other disc in the set. All the best 🤘🫡

Must be an issue with Amazon this week. Ordered 6 new releases that said Friday delivery and received 2. Thanks for the info as usual and have a great music finding weekend 😊
Yeah something is up everywhere. Maybe a distributor issue that then affects all the resellers. Either, it’s not like they don’t know these are being released, they need better planning and logistics to solve these issues.
One of my favorite artists a an Americana artist named Charlie Crockett has a new album out on the 29th. It's been digitally released for a little while now but the physical release is the 29th. My wife and I love him and I've seen him twice in free concerts in our town.
@@BrendonSnyderPreach Brendon! That Spread Eagle debut is still a regular in my music rotation, the whole album is so raw and heavy! Glam metal masterpiece!
I think they are a new band. One track on the Evil World Machine album features Phil Collen and another has Nikki Sixx. Mutt Lange is credited as executive producer and that may explain the AC/DC sound.
There are some issues going on overall. I was at my usual indie store in NYC where I always get new stuff, some I still get on amazon but If I want something I prefer giving him the business and he always almost matches Amazon pricing. I did have the u2 ordered from Amazon and got that last night delivered around 8PM but still getting into all of it now, did pick up the 3CD issue of the classic 1984 Thompson Twins "Into the gap" album this thing is amazing great stuff and 22 bucks for a 3 cd issue in a store is amazing pricing. But when I was there with the store owner he was saying somethings didnt show up ALSO bad news for RSD things alot of allocations were cut and stores were cut with how many there are getting so be prepared luckily for me I am contact with this store so I have an idea before what he is getting what I want and how many he has overall, I think I have 7 or 8 things this record store I am looking for but already he said two of them have allocation issues. I even saw this mentioned on another channel a guy in midwest with his store got 95% of his Beatles Album set order cancelled. He had something like 200 on order and got 5 something like that.
That’s because they only do it for the money now. They all hate one another and all the members would all rather be doing something else with their time.
@BrendonSnyder i was in the 80s-90s buying vhs concerts bootlegs at 50$ a piece most not available nowhere now. Will not give it for free on youtube, 50$ in 87 is like 150 now plus some i recorded holding a video camera and paid the security at the entrance 100 to get it in with it. Might open a website. All band that came playing the Montreal forum then got a good 80% of em all. Thats collector items. What these guys put out its often fake and recorded now actually but hey it make you happy thats what matter only.
I used to have a problem with some of the death metal vocals, but got past it after realizing that those guttural, growling vocals go along with the subject matter and instrumentation. What caused me to not give up on this more extreme metal was the often incredible musicianship and the awesome power of the sound! I'll bet Brendon gets there one day, as he'll long for something different than hard rock and heavy metal, something that takes metal to a completely uncompromising state. I want to hear just how heavy and extreme music can get!!! Currently blasting Morbid Angel and Death classic material!@@mikem.7921
Can someone clarify what an outtake is? I know a demo, usually, is the basic structure of a song and, I thought, an outtake was a song that was completed but was missing parts, a solo, a bridge, etc. Do I have that definition right, or completely wrong?
An Outtake is generally a fully completed song that did not make the album. It can be a drastically different version of a song where they chose to go with a different one for the album. But outtakes are generally fully completed and produces songs and not demos. However the term can sometimes be used loosely to mean any song not used on an album that’s from the same sessions. Hopefully this makes sense now.
Motley Crue and/or the label are clueless. Too Fast For Love and Girls, Girls, Girls had no boxsets for their anniversary’s.. They are half assing the effort they are giving
Hi Brendan was disappointed that u2 b sides and demos were not released as q single disc . I have tje orginal album i not interested in a remaster or spenting a lot of money on a box set guess i have to get these b sides and demos another way . U2 do not cater for ordinary fans just bout making a quick buck
I disagree with and think the band absolutely caters to its fans. Everything they release is very worthwhile. They don’t duplicate material across releases making each one worthwhile to own. Additionally the 10 song shadow album How To Re-Assemble An Atomic Bomb is not just made up of b-sides and demos. This is an alternate album of fully realized songs from the sessions. If you just one the album it’s getting a stand alone release on RSD this coming Friday on LP only.
@BrendonSnyder u do not get my point i just want the b sides and demos as a single disc that i can buy seperate . My point is i have to buy a box set to get the demos and b sides . I have the album.already anyway thanks for the review Brendan .
And people complain about motley Crue need to leave because you're not real Crue fans I love the 2 new songs fuck the haters been a crue fan since 1986 I am 40 now
You can’t claim to be a fan of a band since you were 2 years old. That’s not an age where you even know what’s what yet. I was born in 1976 and could say I’ve been a fan of The Crue since 1981 when I was five but that’s simply not true. I was aware of the band and knew there stuff but didn’t became a fan until 1989. Anyway glad you’ve been listening for a long time and glad you like the new material. Still doesn’t change the fact that the band are releasing boxsets that are rehashing material already been released and cashing in on the fans when they should be releasing stuff that hasn’t been out before and catering to the diehard fans. The ones that actually have been with them since the begging and not going after new fans only who don’t know any better.

In Defence of Motley Crue. The new Dr Feelgood remaster sounds absolutely awesome.
Much louder and clearer.

Thanks Brendon, you should check out Opeth, they have lots of different styles.. I'm sure there is some album you can dig.

Mine arrived yesterday as well.

Thanks for all the info you share every week!! Have you listened to the new Crossbone Skully album? Maybe you mentioned it on an earlier episode.
You’re very welcome. Glad to know you’re digging it. Regarding Crossbones Skully, I’m not familiar with the band.

Hirsh Gardner from New England released his 3rd studio album, Third Time's A Charm, on Deko Records
I hate that the "shadow" Album by U2 is only available on the overpriced boxset. The new Manson LP is amazing.
Have a nice Weekend 👋
It is being released on vinyl for RSD.
How early do you get up on the weekends? I am impressed by your work ethic!

Motley Crue only cares about taking their fans money, not giving them anything that is good, hence the 3 song EP.
That’s because they only do it for the money now. They all hate one another and all the members would all rather be doing something else with their time.
They just did a remaster in 2021 😂
Fishermen keep fishing because there are still fishes in the lake.

Just curious with the goatee are you now Evil Brendon? Like when Mr Spock had the goatee in Star Trek?
