I’m a thrower for a company and man this work is hard even during the summer heat. Pays alright but can be more. Done fractured my knuckle in my finger so far.
I work for the same company here in utah. People just dont really understand the valuble service we provide. Its long days and hard work. Good job.

It has it’s pros and cons but I can’t complain!
I really appreciate that you try and ensure the lids are closed and that the cans are upright. My garbage guys leave the lids open, even on a rainy day.

@@M.TTT. It'd do you a lot of good to not comment, my friend. I'm disabled, and it is a struggle for me to push my garbage cans over and try emptying the water out of them. We can't all be blessed to be perfectly fit like you.

Swinging was the worst position I took over ….. got all the new frontloads in told them I’m taking one and the new routes that’s what happened now I run currroto 5 days a week and love it batter than doing rearload and then frontload back and forth …..
How can you get in and out of the truck so fast does it have an automatic park brake?

Every truck packs differently, normally by how far back the blade is going and if your fighting it or not

Why you only take some bins and some not?
If you stack empty cans inside each other you have more room to empty other cans
Stacking those cans,especially if they were wet from leave, will never come apart.
Why you use a stick in between the sides simple little trick

Talk about manual labor. Sheesh, I would’ve been actively searching new job opportunities. This type of work is for young men. When the soreness kicks in and is too much. You’ll definitely start thinking of your next move. Kudos to this guy for working here and doing this job.

Why does the truck have two steering wheels?
The can use it as a commercial front load truck as well so you’ll have to be on the left side for that or like what he’s doing driving from the right side because he has to exit out the right side to pickup the yard waste.
Because it’s safer and quicker than running back and forth from the drivers side (left side where you normally drive)

This is a waste of time and money. These properties have plenty of room to make a small compost bin to take care of the yard waste and food scraps. Negating the need to drive around and collect leaves. I'll never understand city people.
