90s plus in central VA for 2weeks an 1tenth of rain, watering garden with 110 gpm pump 1inch hose out of a 330 gal tank feed by shop gutters, couldn't imagine that big 5" pipe pumping water! Amazing keep the vids coming!

Thanks again for the in depth answer about what Sorghum is and what its for. Kevin is quite impressive with his knowledge of just about everything that it takes to run a Farm. The guy knows how and what to do, he even knows how to repair equipment to keep things running, it's amazing.....I raise my beer glass to you both...

It's hot, hot, hot in Ontario too. Today got up to 34.5C (that's 94F for you funny people) and I'm sure you have the humidex factor just like we. Tomorrow it is suppose to feel like 42C (107F), and there is no relief in sight. Hardly no farmer can irrigate out here, I remember a few years ago, it was very dry too. A lot of fields got disced under half way during the season. I hope for everyone relying on the weather, that the forecasters are wrong.

That was really really cool thank you for taking the time to show the irrigation process. I’ve never seen that done before believe it or not. Growing up on such a wet piece of property we were pretty fortunate to not have problems with drought. The problems came at harvest when everything was a total mud hole lol
We only had to irrigate once in my memory, back in the late 70's. No reel back then, it was all hard pipe, with ports inline we could move the "gun" to. We'd let it run while we did something else, shut off the valve at that port and move the gun to the next port. Your feet got very heavy as the wet clay would really stick to your boots! Wish we had the reel back then. Thanks for sharing this experience!

Hi guys.thanks for sharing .that was pretty cool. That is one big impact sprinkler. I know some farms around here liquefy their manure and spread it through the sprinkler and boy does that ever change the farm fresh scent .🤢 . And in the interior where it's warmer there are a couple that just run in a big circle which are quite cool to see. Anyway you make that look easy to set-up as it's just another part of farming.👍💪. Although I live in Canada I do appreciate what your farms do to get the product to the market place . Although I like your way better as the cows go out to pasture🐄 and can be loose . Ronda Just a thought for Kevin, sometimes there are people selling old Fire Trucks that are no longer road worthy but the pumps are still good and some are 750 gallons a minute up to 1000 gallons a minute that may suit your needs a little better, but it's just a thought because j am a retired Firefighter

Cup holders are easy to make. Get a small magnetic round bolt holder then find a tin can the size of your cup . It will hold your cup on any metal surface like your fenders.

I know here in the NE corner of Indiana we could really use some rain. You're not far away. What rain we have had the past couple months has been rather spotty. When you got that 1.3" of rain, we got about 1/2" here. I got some garden plants out late this year, but they have pretty much just dried up. I don't have a well on my small acreage, so being able to water it is very difficult. Another interesting video, keep them coming. Have a great day.
Born and raised on a grain farm in the Mississippi River Valley of Missouri. I really enjoy your alls down to Earth way of looking at things. My wife and I will be up your way next month as we drive up the West side of Lake Michigan then along the Southern shore of Lake Superior trying to see as many lighthouses as we can. Great video Rhonda need to get some shade cover on that tractor don't forget to stay hydrated it can sneak up on your quick.
On hot days I take a dish towel soaked in ice water and wrapped it around my neck.

Seems like rock picking is a never ending job, you clear a piece of land and they magically reappear. Lol
A side effect from their irrigation processes as the rocks float to the top when the water gets under them !! NOT.
