Not a bad idea, BUT........It is pretty certain that if you do this, you will end up with fouled gray water flowing back into the gray tank since you cannot tell when the flow stops going into the black and starts back into the gray as the water seeks to equalize levels between the 2 tanks. I like to dump a Homer bucket of fresh water or 2 down the toilet after the black finishes draining (if no one is waiting in line for you to get the hell out of their way). Another trick to further clear out both tanks is to use the CG flusher hose in your drain hose and backfill either or both tanks by holding the hose up and lowering it and raising again so the water floods the tank and stirs it up in there. Then lower the end of the hose into the CG drain to empty whichever tank you are trying to flush.
Never have both tanks open, you are (as many have said ) risking cross contamination, just stick with "water is your friend" in an RV black tank , we just dump and refill the black tank, and dump again, this is usually pretty good , if not rinse and repeat. We also use a product called happy camper in our tank , and that breaks stuff down pretty well, after the black and grey we dump the bathroom grey, which is mostly water and soap, our hose never smells like it was used for whats intended.

I've been using the method you discribe (back flushing grey into black) and it works BETTER than using the tank flusher! BTW, A buddy of mine learned the hard way that water DOES NOT break down poop. He left his black tank nearly full for a month and it formed a hard, solid "cake" at the bottom of the tank even though it was full of liquid. Breaking up the "cake" was pure hell.
ScottDLR We all really want to be mad scientists! Additives for the holding tank can help with breakdown. We also use extra water to flush. Enzymes or liquid stuff like Thetford toilets makes does it well. I switched from blue to purple Thetford additive because the blue’s scent bothered me -it has formaldehyde and the purple don’t! The purple also helped more to keep smell down in Summer heat. Hope I don’t come off as patronizing, it’s not meant to be. Maybe he wants to be a solid man! Thanks for the laugh! Regards...
A cup of dawn, a cup of calgon and a couple bags of ice sloshing around in the tank while you go down the road should leave it smelling nice. I'm gonna try these hacks, thank you for sharing.
I've been RVing for many years and had never heard of this gray/black water contamination concern before. So I had to do some research on it. A study done in a hospital has shown E.coli can spread in drain pipes from one place to another, and can even come up the drain and into the sink itself. From there running the faucet can splash that bacteria around, where people can get infected. This is alarming. But practically, you have to wonder why people everywhere aren't getting E.coli just going through life normally. The drain pipes in virtually all buildings, houses, etc., are all interconnected. Gray water and black water eventually flow together, and there is a pathway via drain pipes to every sink, shower pan and bathtub in that building. So why aren't people everywhere coming down with E.coli infection all the time? This is to me like the news stories of scientists swabbing all these different surfaces in stores and restaurants and showing how contaminated everything is. Yet I've been going through life for 65 years so far without having gotten sick, let alone died, from any of this kind of contamination. And the truck camper I've owned for the past 11 years has just one holding tank where both the gray and black water ends up. How is it possible that E.Coli hasn't made me sick or killed me yet? To get the E.coli to grow that fast in the hospital study, they poured nutrients down the drains, like IV fluids, for example. So maybe that was appropriate for a study in a hospital, but can the same results be assumed to apply to non-hospital settings too? I doubt it. People everywhere would be getting E.coli contamination just by going through life normally otherwise. So how big of a concern is this? So far I don't think it's a concern at all. If it was, it would have affected me long ago. But if the study says anything to me at all, it's that I should avoid hospitals at all costs! :-) Here's a link to an article about the study: www.livescience.com/58014-drug-resistant-bacteria-hospital-sink.html
Also consider this. Gray water will become almost as nasty as black water after sitting for 48 hours or so. That's why it stinks so gawd awful bad after a short period of time. It contains food particles from kitchen sinks, small amounts of dirt, grease, skin cells, hair and fecal matter washed off of our bodies in showers and bathroom sinks, and a mish-mash solution of soap, shampoo, conditioner, salad dressing, beer, wine, soda and God knows what else. Along with all of that comes bacteria, and a gray water holding tank is a great incubator for that. So it doesn't really matter if there's cross-contamination from the black tank. The gray tank is already bad enough. My biggest concern about black water flowing into the gray tank would be with the solids that come with it. Most gray water plumbing pipes are about half the size of the black water pipes. Get enough solids in there and there's an increased chance of a blockage. But as long as you don't leave the gray valve open while you're draining the black tank, that shouldn't be an issue.
if you eat well, sleep, excercise etc; and have a strong immune system, then it takes care of it. Money i.e.: paper dollar bills, have more germs than anything. The underside lip on the toilet seat, and surprisingly your dish rag are the dirtiest plces on earth studies show. Now bite your nails, or put those dirty fingers next to your mouth if you smoke a cigarette, and you'll probably be ok. How is that? you're healthy immune system. Many people are not healthy. You are. Your mom probably had POX parties; when someone's kid got chicken pox, the moms got all their kids together so they would get it and develop immunity.
How well does ice cubes work to break up any pyramid? This is of course while driving so it has maximum shaking and effectiveness. Side note. I had to change my sensors recently to the kind with a canopy over them to prevent buildup on sensor. Seems to working good this far.
Many people swear by them. However, there is a video out there experimenting inside a aquarium (so you could see it) that shows little to no effect. I have never tried it.
Doing this method, do you ever notice any black tank stink coming back up through your grey water sink (kitchen)? I always flush my black tank with water a few gallons at a time to clear any debris on the bottom till it runs clear then fill it again and dump it. Seems to work and eliminate the smell along with tank treatment.
Here’s my thought - everybody makes a bee line too the dump station as they pull out in the morning- just get on the road and dump when you get to your next destination- everything is emulsified by then and runs out fine ! To really clean things out stop an hour or so before your next overnight , dump and put a bag of ice down your toilet and proceed to your destination - arrive with a clear black tank and some residual water in your tank to keep from causing that pyramid !
Best way to clean out your funky blackwater tank ? Used this in my 100 gallon Blackwater tank : 20 gallons of water, 1 gallon of Pine Sol (Walmart) and a small jug of laundry detergent (Dollar Store) Pour contents into my toilet and drove from Escondido, CA to Yuma, AZ (Plenty of winding roads) Idiot lights work fine now and my RV smells like Pine Sol ! I've still got "caked crap" coming out of my blackwater tank, but it broke the pyramid up into pieces ! Bon Appetit'
I rarely even use the black water flush anymore. We usually just run about 3 gallons of water after our camping weekend, and add chemical to that , drive home and let it sit until next time. This gives a slosh to the tank with the water and chemical together to loosen any debris, then next trip if I'm worried about space in black tank, I drop my " Jonny Chock " in the open toilet intake and fill tank , then drain. This at least get water level over previous sitting level. Otherwise we just wait until tank fills and dump, then repeat, ,.....my tank stays very clean and my level gauge usually works ( because non work all the time ) No worries about cross contamination , and always remember.... dump black first and use the gray to flush hose, you get a nice clean hose to put up.
I love watching these vids. The comments is where I learn a lot. Individual ideas and experiences is what I build off of. I realize you did not have the flush system built in. What about using those pressure water sticks you place down in the toilet and swish around? Or those bayonet fitting with a water hose connection to back flush with. I did not see any replies from the author if you will so I'l just accept this as a interesting video and thank everyone for chiming in.
I always dump the hot water tank into the toilet via the shower when we're done camping, then dump the black tank and then the gray. Done. His looks like he may full time though.
Full-timer here... It’s ALL bacteria laden water whether it’s gray or black water. Unless the gray water is already diverted for water reclamation, I close the gray gate valve before dumping the black tank and then open hopefully using some of the gray tank to clear the main line. Normally I keep the gray open all the time. I pull a hose into my toilet room and fill and flush the toilet a few times to help rinse the tank out a bit. Once it’s got a lot of water in it, we drain it again. Once or twice a year I really go all out and fill the 40 gallon tank to full a few times to really do the job! Gnats in New Mexico. It is so hot and dry here the trap water will evaporate quickly. There are other RVers who have a problem with gnats, fruit flies, or whatever they are coming into their RVs. I believe these folks probably leave their gray water valve open all the time. This allows the little buggers to come in from the dump line to the gray tank and the traps are dried out and they infest an RV. The shower is the biggest offender because most folks will use the campground facilities after the pool rather than use up their gas, electric, or water. The first time I saw gnats and smelled the gray tank gasses, it took me a few days to figure out about the traps. I felt so silly! Living in cold, wet climates most of my life I’d forgotten about the function of the gas and insect barrier traps. So keep water in the traps! Part timers or full-timers on the move, I’ve heard that when preparing to leave a site with hook ups that when we leave a few gallons in the tanks the water and other contents will slosh around helping loosening other debris. A dump and rinse at the next hook up will hopefully flush out most of it. Whether it’s gnats or gasses, remember to keep your traps filled! Thanks for reading and I hope it is helpful!
Basic hydraulics: if the pressure in the grey tank is greater than that of the black tank, cross contamination is not possible. If you get your valve openings and closings in the wrong sequence, then yes, you could cross contaminate. But if the volume of the grey tank exceeds that of the black tank when you open the grey tank valve - and then the black tank valve, contamination of the grey tank won't occur. Physics.
"It's basic hydraulics." "OK, Archimedes." Sorry, your comment made me think of that scene in the movie RV. Now I am in the mood for some tortilla chips.
Logically wouldn't that pose a contamination risk to the grey water tank by allowing the grey tank to be into the black line there very likely be back wash from the black tank into the grey tank and that is gross don't you think lol!?! I always empty my black first then my grey to rinse the main exit Line out. But watching this video I'm thinking that if the grey line remains open while you pull that black line open that will contaminate the grey tank or line. Just throwing that out there.
Potentially, all the microbes in your black tank have already gone through your kitchen on the way to your stomach and are in your grey tank. That's why grey water STINKS so bad lol. In my RVs the grey water tank always sits above the black tank by a large margin, so back flow is a non-issue. Your results may vary.
@@HighDesertOffgrid Then why don't you go ahead and eat your sewage.? Oh, and eat/drink your grey water also. You've just solved world hunger and disease. Nobel prize material.
I've never been worried about contamination of my grey tank. I only use the grey water to bathe and cook with when I am in full blown tree hugger mode!(LOL just a joke, the grey and black tanks are only used for their correct purpose, to hold waste from the sink, shower and for the toilet waste.) I was told a little tip when I bought my first R V. When both of your tanks (grey & black) are empty and you are going to be moving your R V. Confirm that both are empty flush a little water through the system and make sure that both valves are in the empty or open position. Give it a minute or two to run and clean your tanks a bit, then confirm that both are empty again. Now shut both tank valves, then go buy lemon ammonia or lemon pinesol. Poor one full bottle in one of the sinks then 7 to 8 gallons of clean water down the same sink drain. Do the same in the toilet 1 full bottle of lemon cleaner disinfectant into the toilet then 7 to 8 gallons of fresh clean water. Now that the cleaner and water is in both tanks, hook up and go driving. The longer the drive the more effective this is. As you drive it is like you are scrubbing the inside of the tanks. This is very helpful to keep the quantity indicators clean and working much longer. After getting to your destination go to the dump for your waste water. Open the valves and flush with clean water for a minute or two at the sink drain and then the toilet. You don't have to be perfect on emptying it as you will only be using the tanks for wastewater and if any cleaner is remaining it will help keep your tanks just a bit cleaner.
Chastity Kaegi beat me to the punch. I would be rather worried,,, (and I mean to say that I would not do this because of it), about contamination into the grey tank. This is a big NOPE in my book.
You have much more important things in this crazy world to worry about than this. First, he emptied the black tank first, so naturally, gravity will force the water into black tank so anything in the black tank would have to swim upstream through a very strong current into the grey tank which physics will not allow. The key here is to listen to the water flow and close the grey valve when the rushing water slows down, before the levels in the tanks equalize. Then empty the black tank and repeat just as he demonstrated. Even if they did equalize the water in the black tank would still have to work its way downward through the water in black tank drain pipe then swim upward through the grey water drain pipe and then into the grey water tank this would not happen instantly while the trailer is still. Second, if you did mess this up and some of the grey water that you let into your black tank were to seep back into the grey tank it would not be the end of the world you can just flush it out if you are worried about it, but just stop and think about it, your sinks and toilets in your house all connect to the same septic tank and/or sewer pipe and your grey and black tanks are both going to be dumped into the same tank as well. In fact RVs didn't always have separate tanks for grey and black water, some older RVs only had only one tank and they are not separate now because we don't want to "contaminate" our filthy grey water. As long as you have water in your traps you should not have an odor problem. Grey tanks are not sterile water and they do have some nasty bacteria and stuff (from washing dishes, brushing teeth, washing sweat and whatever filth may be attached to you skin from camping, swimming in the lake, cleaning fish, handling raw meats, etc.) in there so they will smell any way. If it didn't smell they wouldn't put traps on the sinks.
@@scotsabo2716 the traps block the flow of gasses from the sewer. Sewer gas contains radon, a radioactive substance given off by decaying fecal matter which causes cancer. Google "what is radon"
I changed my plumbing didn't hold any water fresh , gray or black . No tank freeze everything straight to septic line in RV park . Also put in 20 gallon hot water tank . If your not into the boondockn thing it's very doable
Ray Adams You close the grey B4 MTing the Black the second valve protection prevents cross contamination. Grey closed, Black open secondary valve open. Then your black drains normally. Shut secondary valve, open grey, then close it. Repeat the process until Black runs clear. Then add the additives (RidEx, etc.) a bag of ice 5 -10 gallons of water. Maybe a little dish detergent and walla clean tanks and clean sensors.
Mimicking, maybe...but the possibilities are real, the tanks will equalize and you will end up with the product in both tanks split. If you want to do it, thats fine, I just prefer an old fashioned rinse.
What possibilities are you referring to? The possibility that the e-coli you rinsed off of you chicken or vegetables last night before dinner will contaminate the black tank?
True! I live in a fifth wheel that is permanently parked and hooked up to the park's wastewater system. The drain stays open all the time and every other day I pour a five-gallon bucket of water down the toilet.Over two years now and never a problem. BTW, I do not put any toilet paper down the drain, instead it goes into a small waste can next to the toilet.
before you are ready to leave a campground , pour a gallon of vinegar down the toilet then on the way to the dump it will clean off the fat etc. in the holding tank , draiin the tank and then add about 5 gallons of water into the black tank and you should always be trouble free. Of course your black water tank should be a least 2/3 full before you dump.
Or actually, several 5 gallon buckets down the toilet. Another thing I do (if no one else is waiting for the dump station) is to pull the drain hose out of the dump station and use the flushing hose to fill up whichever tank is now empty using the drain hose. Then I raise and lower the drain hose 5 or more times, letting the water run in and out of the tank and then eventually allow it all to go down the dump station. As long as you keep the end of the hose high enough, not water comes out until you lower it. Makes a big difference in both tanks.
By doing this you now back washing your black water into your gray water tank once the pressure equalizes you will significantly cross-contaminate the gray water tank. you now have two black water tanks. There's a reason your told to dump black before grey.
Thank you for doing this video. l bought an ol travel trailer and have never owned or known anyone who could inform me of these things. We're about to start living in it, in 6 days. I'm very scared because most of the responsibilities are left to me. Scary 🤔
Like your video's. Thanks for removing the background music while you talk, that makes them so much easier to hear and concentrate on. Keep up the good work.
Better late, than never. I just read your question. I'm fulltime stationary in a 20 year old 5th wheel for 18 months now. My routine as a single guy: I leave gray tank open Sunday-Friday. On Friday I close the gray water valve to allow it to fill the tank until Sunday. On Sunday, I drain my black tank after making sure its topped off with plenty of water. I drain the black tank and turn on my built in tank sprayer. Then I dump two 5 gallon buckets of water into tank and drain that. No problems. Last, I drain the gray tank to wash away the sewage from the drain lines. With two people, the black tank would fill quicker, so just pick a couple of days to do the routine. But don't leave black tank open. Flushed fluids will out run most of the "solids". Allowing the "solids" to build up. Just my 2 cents.
Before leaving your campsite dump a 10lb. bag of crushed ice down the toilet. As your driving down the road the ice will help "scrub" the walls of the tank, then when you get to your destination dump your tanks.
This is not a good idea because it cross contaminant to the gray tank with sewage a big NO NO... Just buy a valve with a flushing cap on it simple install like this valve n when you want to add water to black tank to flush you just hook up a garden hose only used for waste n nothing else n open black tank valve n turn on water valve completely flushes out black tank the right way n simple. Sorry if I'm slamming you about this but you need to know never leave the gray valve open when you are going to open the black tank valve...
Don't worry. You're not slamming me. I have been full-time RVing since 1992. Perhaps you are simply inexperienced and misinformed about the subject at hand. Flushing valves are a waste of money as the water velocity in the tank does little to clean the tank interior. Who told you to never mix the grey and black water? Are you afraid of getting all the bacteria from rotting food particles, dead skin cells, and rinsing of raw foods into your black tank?
@@HighDesertOffgrid Well I to have plenty of years n knowledge of RVing, boating n dry camping just so ya know. I also am a firm believer in your never to old just like being young to learn new things. I will just clearly disagree with your take on Black/Sewage Tanks. RVs will benefit from a tank flusher as long as they have a short straight drainpipe to the black water valve n good water pressure. If not flush it out from inside down the toilet itself with a hose, bucket of water, etc. You know surfers get infections n flesh eating bacteria from the ocean beach water next to countries that pollute the ocean with their sewage when rain falls are high, cities use gray water to water grass n landscaping not sewage water, there is a reason why you have to let shit compost before you can use it as fertilizer or run it through a series of purification in a sewage treatment plant before it can be reused or better yet just use an incinerator toilet turns it to black ash bacteria free n can just be dumped on the ground just thought I'd share this information from your statement that I am inexperienced just saying. My RV now has a builtin black water tank flusher which I don't even have to use because I use natural enzymes in my tank to break shit down n have never had a problem. Still one day I'll change it to an incinerator toilet. Sincerely have a nice day!!! :-)
If you are going to do this you need a check valve to prevent black water from possibly flowing into the grey water tank. Also does anyone else find it disturbing that he isn't wearing gloves while doing this?
Obviously half of u people are idiots. He dumps the black first. Water will seek the same level. It will not flow backwards towards the full tank. Impossible unless the black tank is pressurized. Watch the damn video and pay attention to the man speaking
I just bought trailer and the toilet is backed up none of the water comes out how can I get get it out the tank says is full on both tank open valves and nothing comes out
Ok like it or not get ready to get dirty, open up your black tank value and shove a garden hose up it and turn the water on full. That will clean you out but then you'll have to clean yourself up. Good luck 👍
put in at least 3 galllons of vinegar and go for a long ride. You probably are having this problem because after you empty the tank you have to flush 5 gallons of clean water down the toilet so the tank is always wet and nothing hardens .
Everyone else is chiming in about the different ideas, how this is a possible bad idea, not proven, by the way, the things that can be done differently. BUT MY QUESTION HERE IS.... Is that a TERRY QUANTUM trailer???? Just looks a lot like the side of one I see on a regular basis. 33FKDS 2006. Great little bit of a home away from home with the double slides with the super being one of them.... Yeah, I know... Great primer on waste tank disposal. You are not a RV veteran until you have had grey/black water splashed in your face/mouth! It's only poo! I always wear gloves and eye protection - Got to avoid that pink eye! Key thing to remember is that these are holding tanks and not septic systems. Never discharge your RV waste into a storm sewer, on the ground or into a fresh water source.

that's just a bad idea you could be introducing ecolie into your gray tank and that will work it's way into the sinks where you clean dishes and brush your teeth BAD IDEA SORRY BUDDY

Thanks for the laugh!

dump in a paper bag throw it out window while driving 🤣🤣🤣 truck driver style. hahahhaa
A cup of dawn, a cup of calgon and a couple bags of ice sloshing around in the tank while you go down the road should leave it smelling nice. I'm gonna try these hacks, thank you for sharing.
i'm not sure about the ice th-cam.com/video/iH6acEmqvcw/w-d-xo.html
Here's a link to an article about the study: www.livescience.com/58014-drug-resistant-bacteria-hospital-sink.html
I have a black tank flush but was wondering why they don't use this method too. Great idea and saving water as well.
I use the ice method and about a pint of Dawn put in about 10 to 15 gallons of water sensors all work again!
Works everytime !
I hope you have straps on your tanks. That is a lot of weight to be bouncing up the road. Going to ruin your tank.
I thought there were legal constraints against highway travel with black tank not empty?
Best way to clean out your funky blackwater tank ?
Used this in my 100 gallon Blackwater tank :
20 gallons of water, 1 gallon of Pine Sol (Walmart) and a small jug of laundry detergent (Dollar Store)
Pour contents into my toilet and drove from Escondido, CA to Yuma, AZ (Plenty of winding roads)
Idiot lights work fine now and my RV smells like Pine Sol !
Full time traveling since 2009. :)
Now I am in the mood for some tortilla chips.
how do you unclog the poop pyramid
@Robert Ott what is this honey bee stuff and where do I get it?
He is plain wrong. Even with p traps, you risk contamination. Period. There are easier ways to clean black tank.
@@HighDesertOffgrid Then why don't you go ahead and eat your sewage.? Oh, and eat/drink your grey water also. You've just solved world hunger and disease. Nobel prize material.
I've never been worried about contamination of my grey tank. I only use the grey water to bathe and cook with when I am in full blown tree hugger mode!(LOL just a joke, the grey and black tanks are only used for their correct purpose, to hold waste from the sink, shower and for the toilet waste.)
I was told a little tip when I bought my first R V.
No wonder his grey tank stinks.
Absolutely. Cross contamination.
I wouldn't mix them either. I would consider ice, or just fill and empty the back tank a couple times
Interesting idea but what keeps the black from mixing with the grey?
Dump the black first.
The answer to most of these problems can be eliminated by having a macerator toilet and a macerator at the discharge point!!
Until they fail and or still get clogged overtime. Then they are a huge expense then. Really not always worth it
What stops the black tank putting shit into the gray tank?
Draining the black tank first. The hydraulic pressure of the gray water inrush does not allow black water into the gray tank.
@@HighDesertOffgrid Thanks Brother.
Ya know, there's still nothing easier than a 5 gallon bucket of water down the toilet! Its whats recommended by the dealer. Works every time.
Scary 🤔
Dawn dish soap. Leaves a thin film on top of the...fluids. keeps the smell down.
Good to know!
Like your video's. Thanks for removing the background music while you talk, that makes them so much easier to hear and concentrate on. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I hope you find them helpful and informative.
Recreation Destinations They are helpful!
Could you turn down the ending shots, though? I get caught by surprise and my heart jumps!!!
What is the best/easiest method if you live full time in the rv but you are stationary. Like we don’t move around.
Better late, than never. I just read your question. I'm fulltime stationary in a 20 year old 5th wheel for 18 months now. My routine as a single guy:
I leave gray tank open Sunday-Friday.
Do you dump the black tank before you try to back fill the black tank with the gray tank?
Yes, I do. Although I failed to mention that part of the sequence in the video.
Before leaving your campsite dump a 10lb. bag of crushed ice down the toilet. As your driving down the road the ice will help "scrub" the walls of the tank, then when you get to your destination dump your tanks.
Thats what the airlines do, mixed with vinegar.
Ice and Dawn...
Love the nature sounds. Cool owl
This bitch got issues.
Strange I got to poop while I'm watching this video.
Put the garden hose down the toilet and work it towards your drain. A lot less messy than doing it from the valve end.
Good graphics thanks
Brilliant
Bill, what does “... into the toilet via the shower....” mean? Please advise. Tks
it means he turns the shower on and sprays the hot water into the toilet
Everyone else is chiming in about the different ideas, how this is a possible bad idea, not proven, by the way, the things that can be done differently.
BUT MY QUESTION HERE IS....
Is that a TERRY QUANTUM trailer???? Just looks a lot like the side of one I see on a regular basis. 33FKDS 2006. Great little bit of a home away from home with the double slides with the super being one of them.... Yeah, I know... Some are saying, "Awe, Cute! a 33 double slider." but it's our first "BIG" one. and it's fantastic... for now
Good eye. It is a terry quantum ax6. FLTS QUAD SLIDE. 38 footer. The first front living room 5er on the market and was ahead of its time.
nice job
Great primer on waste tank disposal. You are not a RV veteran until you have had grey/black water splashed in your face/mouth! It's only poo! I always wear gloves and eye protection - Got to avoid that pink eye! Key thing to remember is that these are holding tanks and not septic systems. Never discharge your RV waste into a storm sewer, on the ground or into a fresh water source.
Watch National Lampoon Christmas Vacation; great scene where an old motorhome that's been dumping into the storm sewer blows up; you'll laugh, guaranteed.
"Shiter's full" lol
that's just a bad idea you could be introducing ecolie into your gray tank and that will work it's way into the sinks where you clean dishes and brush your teeth
BAD IDEA SORRY BUDDY
Why is it recommended to rinse things like fruit, vegetables, and chicken... in your sink?
One word "CONTAMINATION!"
Antidisestablishmentarianism.
Another word "BLEACH"
Black water into camp pool, greywater into camps office letterbox (smaller hose)

Thanks for the great video. I like your style. Very informative.
You forgot one very important key point. You should ALWAYS wear gloves of some sort while working with the dump hoses and valves.
Thanks for the comment. Where did you first learn this tip of great import?
Or, for about 30 dollars just purchase a backwash valve from Camco.
Get a tank flush system
Those are gimics. They are enough to clear the sensors but not actually clean the tank. Not enough pressure to clean
Great information and entertaining as well... sharing!

Too funny ...My Mother-in-law did wear combat boots!!!

Ahhh No!.....Nothing worse then the smell of poop coming up from your kitchen sink.
Yeah, Dont do this....
Reasons?...
