His main weak point is he may be a bit bad agianst fast single oficers. He can take out hords of grunts and he eats thru giant bosses so those two straingths make him one of my faves.
It sounds like Wizzro is the epitome of a true wizard character - he can become quite powerful, but only if he has the creativity and mental ability to use his powers effectively
Wizzro's best aspect is easily his C1. It's unblockable, can be looped infinitely, and does a lot of damage. Only problem is that crowds can be a bit hard to deal with.
I think a few changes Wizzro needs is his orbs to not detonate each other but instead trigger them using the heavy attack. Let his orbs move around MUCH slower before they become stationary, that way you can actually set up traps by covering an entire area with them before detonating.
Here it is 2020 and I learn something new about the many obscure mechanics of a character. I did not know his slow moving dark fireballs could act as bombs when hit with secondary attacks. This unfortunately takes some aiming and zoning setup, but I feel his standard juggles followed up by his C5 is enough to get the job done when dealing with captains anyway. His room clearing could be better, his C4 orbs are all he really has here, it’s kinda funny how his move that’s obviously meant for this is actually MUCH better at taking out boss WPG’s On a side note I also didn’t know the purpose of Volga’s C1 until watching these videos. It’s almost overkill with him because he can practically juggle captains out of 100% of their health bar. I haven’t tried his C1 against bosses though...it’s always nice to discover something better than Cia’s C4 when it comes to boss wpg’s
Poor Wizzro really got the short end of the stic within the original cast. Don’t get me wrong; his moves are great, but Wizzro himself is just a bit too slow. Even with Hasty Attacks, his attacks are still a bit too slow to make him a top or high tier. Imo, he’s either bottom of mid tier or the very top of low tier. He’s definitely one of the worst dark weapons in the game. However, he still isn’t bad by any stretch of the word. Side note: I want to start a petition to name Wizzro’s eyeball pet “Godfrey.” How about it?
I know a good loop you can do with wizzro, you could do his c3 then dodge cancel half a second after doing the attack, then do his standard string till his c3 then repeat it
@@Rapha2587 I said Lizalfos/Aeralfos because of C4 (fire breath) that they share with Volga. Thats the only thing they could use in an actual Warrior anyways.... the other combos are improv
Here’s a fairly under rated character, his only real downside is his room clearing isn’t the best, aside from using special moves his C3 spinning orb move is really all he has here unless you have enemies in front of you in a straight line. He can juggle multiple captains and deal massive damage to them, and destroy boss wpg’s all with his C5 (the big dark beam attack) He just doesn’t move much and has no invincibility in his moves which is usually what separates good characters from great ones, however, agin just keep all enemies in front of you and juggle them and he can be about as good as anyone
Sorry I meant C4 rather than C3, C4 is the spinning room clearer. Until actually watching this video I actually forgot how useful this is against boss wpg’s
funnily enough,i never actually played him as a trapper. instead,i just played him regularly xD he is pretty alright in everything really,but is a bit lacking against generals
I love playing as him, but he's really difficult to play until you figure out how to use him. Then again, I'm no stranger to difficult characters. I main Fang in SFV and Kollector in MK11. They all take a lot of skill and patience to use, so there's that.
Do you have any opinions about using Hasty Attacks on Wizzro? It breaks his C4 (it's still great for boss killing, but it's range is severely reduced making it useless for crowd control,) and I'm trying to figure out if his increased attack speed makes up for that lost combo.
Totally struggling to get the Lvl.4 weapon on Termia map. Can beat the level, but never in time to achieve an A rank. 6 keeps to conquer, a summoner, and countless Traitors to conquer, all while making sure the Allied base doesn't fall. Got him leveled up high and most of the badges. Making good use of the owls, and not engaging Zant to waste time, still can't get the A rank. Any suggestions? TIA
To me, Wizzro is the opposite of Volga. He’s interesting as a character, but he kind of sucks as a playable warrior. Volga is not that interesting of a character, as he’s basically just a generic brute subordinate, but he’s hella good as a playable warrior.

He may be kind of slow and low tier, but he is so much fun to play as. Wizzro is among my favorite characters to play as in this game!

You have to know what you're doing to do well with him. For me, when I play as him, he's pretty op.

Point for HW: lets you fight as a Lizalfos/Aeralfos (Volga) and as a Poe (This one)
Volga is much more an Argorok than an Aeralfos. I honestly don't know how you could compare him to a Lizalfos, they are nothing alike.

It's so odd to play Wizzro but once gotten the hang of he's really interesting to play!

When the flames explode they launch enemies in the air so I can just juggle enemies with the standard combo.

only way to really play him is if you have a weapon that has hasty attacks. other than that, he feels kinda dull.
