You literally added everything everybody could want in the buttons, gave a good enough screen that's big enough to balance pocket ability and size, But then you slap in a week ass processor that could barely handle PSP. It makes sense actually. It’s not a 405m replacement. Hence the price will be way below 405m. It’s a 4:3 screen so it’s not designed for psp. I think this is a great idea for ppl who just want a cheap device to play old snes,ps1 and n64 games. The 4inch screen is great for that.

Why 4:3? For android devices that skew towards wider content, and have their native android games adapt to any aspect ratio, a 3:2 screen is the best option in my opinion. You can enjoy all your content with minimal black bars without being too narrow or too wide

Dear Anbernic, despite what the reviewers say, we do not like loud buttons. Silent & soft rubber membrane is perfect for everybody. Also Start and Select must be above D-Pad and ABXY buttons.
I think I understand Anbernic's logic... this "xx" line is lower cost, so click buttons, just changed the pattern, which were the shoulder squares. They should only use analog triggers on the most expensive ones, which run PS2...

I hope this new device will push Trimui Smart Pro to upgrade and produce other handheld devices, but more powerful. I have a feeling RG40XX H would sell like hotcakes.

If this had the t820 it would be an instant buy. But with the same processor as the rest of the XX line this seems kind of pointless when the 35xx already exists.

Anbernic, would be cool to see a console with the extra buttons featured on the N64 so emulation for that system worked better than the PS2-style layout. So, two extra buttons in addition to all that is currently on these dual analogue stick devices.
You're right, this could be a decent N64 handheld. I might request going one step further since no one else has done so. Go with the cross pad and thumbstick as is but the right side, go with a larger B & A and then 4 smaller yellow face buttons along with rumble. Without dual analog sticks, It really makes the handheld a N64 system specific design but gives another use case with the H700 again.
Man back in the day on golden eye my buddy Steve would hold that n64 controller in such a weird katywampus sort of way working his left hand working both the yoy sticks and dpad and he reached his right hand finger way to the middle for the trigger while still holding palm on the far right for thumb on those buttons. He would fucking kill it to, made feel like a goon just holding my left hand on middle of the controller 😂

after reading the description i can't believe they didn't put a 960x720 pixel display on this and at least use the same cipset as the 405M but should have used the specs from the 556/cube. Why downgrade? This could have been so much better. It has the perfect button layout!!!
Very nice but I would prefer if the SoC was something like the rk3566 or T610, at least 2gb of ram and 720p higher resolution (not sure if that screen exist) ... With that said... Depending on the asking price this could be a very good device for retro gaming... But could be much better.
Hello, great console. I really hope that in the future, you will release a console in the Nintendo 3ds design. The ANBERNIC RG35XXSP is disappointed by the lack of sticks.
Forever iterations of incremental updates and those who own a closet full of these emulators feed the development of the next iterations, which we all then feel the need to buy, keeping the cycle going and going...
It's good to provide a lot of materials at the same time for the consumer's choice but we the public, we demand a machine with a 4/3 screen in 5 inches, a soc capable of ps2 and gamecube as far as possible even a x86 6inch 4/3 is a dream also since the win600 can emulate the gamecube and the ps2.
Everyone wants better performance... but does anyone consider a switch to 3:2 screens? They would allow you to play GBA and PSP games more comfortably, and the black bars on the sides when playing home console games wouldn't be so bad (or you could stretch those to fill the screen, and it wouldn't look too bad). But I get it, the Chinese brands are using old parts.
I don't think Trimui are a big team or have many resources. They have the capacity only to rarely produce a new product but when it is it's a pretty good one. Anbernic seem to have the ability to produce products at 20x the rate. When you do I guess you are more likely to use designs first used elsewhere

At the price ( $65USD + shipping ), that's a nice deal to comfortably emulate SNES games that will fill the 4" screen format. C'mon guys, one of the upcomming ones be a New 2DS XL emulation format. The Nintendo ones are decaying and staying on collector shelves.
This looks perfect in hardware. But the software must be better so it can be handed to a child, so they can power on and load save games without beeing able to read or a parent necessary helping them to startup a game with a friend.

Anbernic, enough with the H700 devices. Holy crap there are too many at this point. There's the OG 35XX, the plus, the H, the 28XX, the 35XX 2024 edition, the SP, and now this! Chill out with the H700 devices. More unique ideas like the Cube please! That imo is one of your coolest products so far from how different and powerful it is.
