Then, at 2:12, they end the second chorus and omit the extra 2 measures where he repeats the line "I got my hashpipe" over a G-chord. And at 3:03, they make the same omission as they did in the second chorus. All of that stuff is on the album version, which they used for the "Hash Pipe" video. They shouldn't have chopped bits out.
I agree pop simply means that it is popular although in more recent times it have lost some of that meaning. Some make pop music just so it sounds like what ever is popular. Kinda sad that is where the art is being lost.

I dont think so...he had pop undertones like in "In Bloom" but that wasnt his goal at all. He hated mainstream music of that era before punk/grunge broke out but he did want to be well known for being a great muscian and song writer. But thats extreme to say that he wrote a pop album??
