Thank you for sharing ran across your video while looking up how to replace the igniter. Especially like the second shelf and wheels upgrade. Very useful post.

Show us a quick release of the bucket. Mine keeps popping off and making a mess.

I cut a rectangular hole in the side of an empty Spam can and slipped it over the rectangular end of the drip pan that the bucket use to hang on and put a pin in the hole to hold the spam can in place. I have a photo of it but for whatever reason unable to paste it to this reply.

Wow! Did the thermostat actually give you more control over the temps? Can you make it go up to 500?

Yes the thermostat gives me more control. If it's a warm day the temp can hit 450F but on a cold winter day maybe only up to 375F.

As cooking pellets are expensive, I’m thinking of adding an electric stove element to my Traeger. Once smoke is no longer needed, I’d like to switch to electric. I’ll post it when I complete, or give up, the project.

can you tell me more about the hook or latch you used for the drip bucket? thanks!

I took an empty can of Spam and cut a rectangular hole in in that allows the can to slide onto the rectangular tube that the old bucket use to hang on then I drilled a hole in the rectangular tube and dropped a pin or a bolt in it to secure the can to the rectangular tube. I have photos but don't know how to share them with you. The Spam Can works great and was an excellent replacement for the funky tin bucket that use to hang on the hook...

Could you send me some pictures at upgrademytreager@gmail.com? I'm also interested in the wheels as well! Thanks!

You can use 3 or 4 inch diameter wheels which can be bought at Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply or most any hardware store.
