I just want to say. this just saved me 100 bucks. took me 20 seconds. avoid the window stay left like he said. I used needle nose pliers to get antenna off gave myself a wicked pinch slipping off. and the back end of antenna BARELY fits in the slot. good stuff tho buddy. ty a million

Saved my ass tonight bigtime. No joke, let's just say I was somewhere I shouldn't have been and locked my keys in my car in my haste. it could have ended really bad in several ways if I had to wait there for help and pay a service that would potentially leave a paper trail.
I was on the phone with my dad and hear this dreadful noise in the background..he then explains he locked his keys in his truck and was trying to use a slim jim to get to door open. I told him “hold on, I’ll go check TH-cam and see how to break into your Ranger.” He laughed and was skeptical. I sent my dad this video and he sends me a text back within a couple minutes “IM IN!!! Almost as good as keys!!! Thank you sweetie!!” Thanks so much for sharing this! (:
Use the bottom of the antenna insert the bottom part under the handle when you lift it. I know it flexes and feels spongy when you are pushing up on the locking mechanism inside the door. When you lift up on the handle don't pull up too much, when you wiggle the antenna lesson the pressure on the handle so the locking mechanism can have less friction/pressure on it, allowing it to, ummm, slip into the unlocked position. Also, hold the antenna close to the door handle when you are wiggling it, so as to maintain the stiffness of the antenna as a tool. Keep working it, it will take a few tries... You are on right path, stay the course.... let us know how you did. Thanks for watching 🙂
Dude. Hardly ever happens but second time in 2 weeks I locked my keys in my ranger . Have AAA but wtf…. Takes time it’s late and raining … equal parts refreshing and disturbing how easy that was . Did what you said and took only a few minutes… thank you !

I locked my keys in my 03 ranger 2 days ago and paid $70 for a locksmith and just did it AGIAN but I’m refusing to pay another $70 so hopefully this works great!
