The fact that 2 developers aged 17 and 20 made a game that is better than a 3000 dev studio called activision is INSANE

to be fair, there's really not much to do in the game currently; and all the maps are assets, nothing the dev team actually made.

This game is just pushing the limits of what modern graphics can do in terms of realism. However, it won’t make nearly as much money as COD games as you would need a great PC to run this (few users have this, you can’t run this at 60fps on Xbox SX or PS5) and COD is addictive while also having micro transactions.
That only concerns me. If it looks and sounds too good to be true it likely is. This is still the gaming industry

notice how the flashlight lits a dark area. on most video games, there's no scattering of light at all, but here, the light scatters evenly, making it realistic

5:55 dude this little sequence was INSANE. The immersion in this game looks nuts. The night cycle adds a whole level of terror lmao
The best part of this is the torches actually work as torches do, rather then a single cone of light it lights the whole room up
I'll withhold judgment until I can feel the movement and aiming for myself, but from all the playtest footage so far I really like that it's challenging to move and aim because it forces the gameplay to slow down and forces players to play very nearly like how a real human would move and fight.
Cannot wait to try it.
Anyone else notice the static when the player is in total darkness? 8:53 holy fuck this game is incredible. They have really captured how chaotic and terrifying fighting in the dark is
oh absolutely, I saw that and was like no way they thought of that. It is these small bits that make a game, moreover it etches it in your brain for years.
This is a great alternative to Unrecord until it releases, and the Multiplayer is very well played out, cant wait to play it

@@AB-gj8re this one is just more pvp. unrecord is much more like ready or not in the sense of being actual law enforcement and interacting with suspects.
but theyre both using ue5 assets and a bodycam mechanic to feign realism
I want Unrecord so much more than this because I don't really like pvp but I haven't heard of any updates about it at all

@@stevec9143 I've seen a video with uevr insurgency sandstorm, it looks fantastic. The future looks to be porting these games over to vr rather than from the ground up making games for vr.

hey does anyone notice, the games supposed to be from the perspective of a bodycam yet when the player aims we have clear vision on the sight, isnt body cam supposed to be on the chest, if so why is the person looking downsights with his chests, just a small flaw i noticed in this game

They need to make a VR controller that's a rifle/gun just for these type of games. Looking down sights might be an issue though because of the size of the headsets....once they figure out how to reduce the size of them, it would be insane.
Wouldn't work for this game, as the POV is the body cam and not the normal head space
Definitely need to remove the blurry corners and improve the movement about 1000X then maybe it’ll be worth a buy

I do agree with the comments about the inmersive experience. When the night came (6:27) , for a moment, forgot you were gaming.
The graphics are good, but feel like the realism that was in that first demo level that came out hasnt transferred to the other levels. Its incredible considering it's just two developers, imagine what they could do with a whole team and more time
I think you're thinking of the game Unrecord which is another bodycam FPS game that focuses on PvE for the most part

Red Orchestra has always had this free zone of your gun before the camera moves and you get used to it pretty quickly.

They should’ve added the muzzle flash. For those who know what it’s like to fire a weapon at night would know. “Insurgency” has it when you don’t have a flash hider. Like fireworks(sparks) from a barrel.

I need a Stalker style horror immersive Sim with this visual style. I need to be terrified and trying to remember how many bandages I have while something just outside my field of view hunts me.

5:20 The visual recoil of the AR rifles looks kinda comical- It's like they have no stock or your shoulder is made of porridge xD
They should make it where you can upload a photo of yourself and apply it to the face of the model you're playing. Or maybe create your own character skin then import that asset into the game.

Definitely needs better explosions from grenades. Maybe just bullet damage to walls and some particle effects. Nothing over the top just a little more Emerson. Maybe add in -night vision and flash grenades to equal it out. Everything else looks great

I think the film film grain should be lowered or removed it’s not natural enough imo and you can see the patterns easier in a dark room with imo is unrealistic since they’re pretty bright comparatively. But that’s my only criticism, I love the game
Well the crysis games also looked real but so did MW2019. Don't forget call of duty also had a body cam spectator view too.

i wouldn't give credit to the industry yet. outside of these two young devs, fps AAA game devs have been absolute shit. hopefully dice and activision are paying attention to how impressive and original this game looks, and decide to do something other than reskin COD 4 MW.
