Don't get me wrong, because I am a Lowther USER and have spent countless hours trying to get rid of their problems (90% succesfull at the moment) BUT, I think your best sounding system so far was the one with the Audio Note 300B Kit and the JBLs with the big Velodyne subwoofer. This one was MAGIC! The new system has a thin, Lowther typical sound, luckily, with not much of the annoying, high-pitched Lowther honkiness. (and the sub doesn't appear to integrate adequately)

It's because I just installed new Japanese output transformers and choke. These need to be running in. So, the amp is still running in. It appears to have some loss of richness in mid and bass. But it's improving at the moment of writing. The amp has much higher resolution now. The current speakers are in fact v good and sound much more transparent than the Tannoy. The Tannoy are sold.
Would you tell me the model numbers for the Hashimoto amps? I bought this amp too intending to do some upgrades, tube rolling, etc., to see if I can improve on the sound.

I've been looking at these Bowei - 2A3B amps are they worth the investment?
Yes. But I upgraded it with Mundorf Silver/Gold/Oil caps and Hashimoto output trans and choke.

You need to drill holes on the amp in order to install the trans.
I actually have an extra pair of Hashimoto H-203S output transformer for sale if you are interested. About 200 hours running in time.
