I had the great good fortune to see and hear Second Edition live in White Plains, NY shortly after they won the Gold Medal at the 1989 SPEBSQSA International Competition in Kansas City, MO. Their renditions of "Mistakes" and "Jeanie With the Light Brown Hair" are perfection to my ears.
Second Edition was the first top level barbershop quartet I heard in person. First CD of barbershop music I bought. I remember the print on the back of the CD cover was so small, you could hardly read it. And I was a teen so the eyes still worked. :) Always a fond place in my heart for this group.
The impressive irony of singing a song about making mistakes, whilst simultaneously making zero mistakes.
Goosebumps!
Indeed. Just straight fabulous.
They blend so damn well. It's like one voice
I saw this performance in person and it blew me away. It still does in the recording. KC '89 was my 2nd convention and it was AMAZING!
Love this song, and love Second Edition!

2:36 - 2:45 on repeat!
If there's such a thing as voice reincarnation I'd like my voice to come back as Doug Harrington's voice. :D LOL
I Love Barbershop singing.
Love it! Thanks for the video!
Just incredible 😊
Not used to Hearing a "sober" version/rendition of this tune..
😂🤣😂😂😂😂😌😊
wow, great job! The man on the right was not phased when a fly was in and out of his hair or maybe he didnt notice it. :-)
Now can we have the 25th anniversary AIC appearance at the 2014 Vegas international?
I've heard the song a hundred times, but never completely in tune all the way through - until now.
I wish you could like videos twice
Where can I get this sheet music?
The Barbershop Harmony Society!
@@toonman361 I believe the only version the BHS sells is the interstate rivals version. Could you please send a link to the second edition version?
