Hi, Quick question. Planning to make this tomorrow. Would taro absorb a lot of the water and make the rice dry? I imagine it’s because of all the fat from the sausages and pork belly that prevents it, but I have no idea.
Hi, if I omit the Chinese sausage or only use 40g of it, use 300g pork belly, then the seasonings I slightly reduce by a bit? And the water remains the same? 👍🏻🙏 I am going to cook in these 2 days.. Thks Meatmen for sharing.. 🤗
I made this for Lunch, sausage x 1,pork belly 350g, water remained the same at 350ml & I slightly reduced the seasoning a bit. Very delicious! Thank you Meatmen♥️ 👍🏻🙏🤗🇸🇬
Note to self : made it with chicken ...due to increase in rice, i increase most of the sauces by 1/2 tbsp, also i didnt add lup cheong since no one likes it here..suggest of adding some ginger when cooking...its really pretty good
That's right, Yam Rice is proudly a Chinese dish, why some like to chose to describe it as Taro Rice. Why follow Wei Zhi (a Chinese board game) to Go, and Peng cai to Bonzai. No pride?
@@ah2522 if you googled it, you’ll see that taro is referred to as yam in Malaysia/Singapore. Not just in a link or two. And it’s a common dish, which is using that aforementioned taro. So..yeah that’s a crisp/chips/fries debate.

That's is taro not yam?
I think that's a chips vs crisps vs fries kind of debate
@@dspiritlight that's like saying there's a debate between orange and lemon. Taro and yam are so far apart they're not even close to being confused

It's always been yam until some smart A call it Taro.
Taro, not yam
