Expired film is actually very underrated. I shoot expired film almost exclusively.

I know it's probably difficult to pin down why you choose a certain shot but maybe tell us what you look for in composition? i dont see how people find the photos boring. i like the washed out tones, it tells a different story. i thought they were all quite amazing
how do washed out tones make a photo great? Just because something is different doesn't mean it is awesome, right?
She said: because it tells a different (or specific kind of) story. That doesn't make it inherently great but can contribute to what makes it enjoyable.

my partner and i love shooting expired (it's honestly so cost effective ha). you both got some great shots!
doitwithhelp what does it mean to overexpose by one stop?
i'm sure george can explain this A LOT better than i can, but exposure has to do with the shutter speed, ISO and aperture of your camera. basically how much and how fast/slow your shutter releases and how much light you allow in. different film have different ISO settings you're supposed to shoot at, like 400 or 800, so overexposing your film by one stop is going up one more than what your film is intended to be shot at.

Where do you usually buy your expired film? Here in Australia a normal roll of 36 c41 is $6 AUD and developing prices are insane, and would love some help with finding cheap film. Thanks!
Also overexposing by one stop is shooting at half the ISO or whatever setting, so shooting at 400 but you shoot as 200, it would be overexposed by 1 stop

Really loved the colors in all the shots, surprised to see how well expired film can look
The last pic by Louis was by far my favourite... i also liked the one of the boxes outside what looked like an office block entrance. I felt like his photos had more theme but both sets were great.

I started learning about photography since like fall of 2017 because I was collaborating with an photographer assisting as a stylist in freelancing. Looking at the videos learning from point of views from photography starting from digital cameras, I've learned a lot to start, but watching this channel is so far one of my favorites because I grew up in film photography! By Seeing this channel from knowing and learning film photography really helps SOOOOOOO Much by point across why film brings LIFE of Editorial of what I'm looking in photography. I'm excited that I'm ready to order an 6x6 120mm medium format film camera using Kiev 60 TTL an very dope beast similar like the Pentagon 6 TL. I thank this channel cause it helps so much of what I need it to know to get better of what I can achieve to look for.
I bet this could be a cheaper route to go too.. Interesting.

I shoot with expired film as the norm, 35mm and APS, which I have a nostalgic weakness for. Konica and Ferrania produced films are pretty stunning, both produced many supermarket, pharmacy and photo shop brands under private labels.

This film put out some incredible photo's when I photographed with it in my Pentax 6X7
nice aesthetic to the editing, music, overall feel
I recently took some photos on Fuji Superia 200 that experied in 1998, took all of the photos, developed the film myself and they came out beautiful. I was super surprised as the film was kept in a plastic bag and was kept in room temperature conditions for 20 years
